Thanks to Skube and Oxidative for this coupon. Important things to note-- this will make games ten dollars or under free, but it's advised to buy another item, such as a pack of gum.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

Which Phoenix Target did you check? My "lucky" Target is at the 101 and FLW Blvd in Scottsdale and they usually have a ton of the clearance stuff in. The last time I went they had like 20+ copies of the OB for $29.98 and then the next day they were all gone, which was weird. I didn't see Lair there either but try them anyways. The one on the 101 and like 35th Ave or 27th Ave (can't remember exactly) is also decent for games. I have had AWFUL luck with every other Target in the valley. The bigger or more popular the store is, the less you're going to find as I have come to find out.

And save some copies of stuff for me because I don't want to give away my Target secrets lol! Anyways good luck!

Thanks for the heads up! I've noticed the same thing about terrible clearance in the Phoenix area. As for the 101 and 27th, are you talking about the one near the AMC Deer Valley 30 theaters? I haven't been to that one in a while (I am in the far, far West Valley).

Yep, the one by the AMC 30 theater is the one I usually go to when I can't find anything in Scottsdale. Last week they had a ton of games on clearance but I can't really remember them all at the moment. I know I got Jeanne D'Arc and FF1 on the PSP for like $14.98, but as far as PS3 and 360 games, I think they were all pretty much cleared out at that point. I'll look around some other Targets this weekend but I doubt they will have anything new.

Most people probably buy the cleance games and trade/sell them to bookmans. Since Scottsdale is a pretty well off area, it probably does not happen as often as other areas in the valley. Just a guess on my part.

There were some issues with who could run the register in the electronics section and they were all totally apologetic for how long it was taking. The guy who finally opened it took the $10 coupon and it scanned no problems. Not sure if he was just being nice and not questioning it based on how long I had been standing there or what. Pretty happy with today's haul, after 3-4 weeks of nothing (or very little), although I am still baffled where the 4-5 copies of Simpsons PS3 went after WEEKS at $24.98. (I keep thinking they just dumped them instead of dropping to $12.48 at my stores, as I've been checking religiously)

No I think you're on to something there. I have found that the more affluent the area is, the more stuff I find. This is good because I am kind of a store snob when it comes to retail places like Target, Best buy, etc. The more well kept and clean a store is, the more I find myself going back there.

However, the one drawback is that the more well off an area is, the less likely the prices will continue to go down. Most items will remain at a $29.xx price point for a longer period of time compared to the other areas.

By the way, has anyone found Kane and Lynch for $19.99 anywhere else? I am stll tempted to pick it up at that price.

Well this sucks...went back to pick up Lair and it was gone...along with the nba08 that was there. All they have for PS3 now is about 6 tony hawk proving ground for 12.98.

Went to two other targets. One didnt have any next gen games on clearance and the other had the club (ps3) for 29.98 and rockband (ps3 game only) for 29.98.

I've hit and missed on the various Target's in the Phoenix East Valley area. Recently I've bought Bigs and Naruto for $14.98 each. Other 360 games? Saw a bunch of Viva Pinatas Party Animals for $7.48. Virtua Tennis 3 and Fantastic 4 for $9.98.

I'm the same way. I found the last copy at my Target by accident I think. It wasn't there the day before I came and got a bunch of other stuff, but it was there that day at random. I snagged it of course and held onto it for dear life. I LOVE the MoH series and even though I know this one is kinda crappy, I'll probably still get $15 of enjoyment out of it.

Now did your Target have an actual bin or an end cap? I haven't encountered a bin yet...

That actually makes me wonder. The endcaps with clearance items are always near the electronics sections for me. Generally within a few rows at least. I'm giving away my secret area it feels like with this but they have 2 endcaps for clearance games in the naperville, il store on rt 59. One is a couple rows down from the games section the normal place to look, the other where stuff sits and rots is on the back end cap of the movies section. For some reason no one looks there at that target it seems because i can wait out prices for the most part with stuff that sits there.

The target in Lombard by Yorktown mall has the electronics dept in the middle of the back of the store with the toys across from it and i have found games in the toy endcaps there before.

Just a note: when I bought the GTA game they asked to see my licence, I said sure and handed it to her. Instead of entering my b-day like every other store, she actually scanned the back and it brought up my info. A little too big brother for me. Does this happen everywhere now or is it just in Illinois thing?

Yes, the Singstar mics work on PS3 with Singstar that came out today. They are not compatible with Rock Band though. If you find a copy of Boogie though, the Logitech mic in there works with everything but Singstar.

Picked up Marvel Ultimate Alliance (PS3) for 7.48 today. Guy next to me had Def Jam Icon (PS3) in his hand for the same price. We got the last of each of those. Saw The Simpsons for 12.48, but passed on it since I have no idea if it's any good. All the other PS3 games were sports (NBA 07 & 08, NCAA Football & March Madness 08, and Fight Night 3) but all were still too pricey for me to bite.

I haven't had it happen to me at Target per say, but I have had it happen at GC, BB, GS, and random smoke shops and gas stations when I used to get cigars (Which by the way is a nasty habit and NO ONE should ever start smoking!). Now that my PA is done, I'll gladly step off of my soap box

A quick story about the GC instance- They did it when I bought my Wii WAY back when. It was kinda weird because I didn't understand why and the employee noticed the look on my face and said, "If a purchase is over $200, we scan the license (like what they did to you slow dive) and then take photo copies of it for our records in case your purchase(s) are stolen. It's for the cops basically." I was a little baffled but I guess the store had a theft problem in the past and this was the new store policy. Weird right?

Edit: Forgot to ask if anyone has seen a GC marked below $50 yet? I'm waiting for the $30 price point before I bite. Also does anyone think The Club or Kane and Lynch will drop low anytime soon? I might bite at $14.98 for those.

Just got back from another target (have one more to check tomorrow there are 5 in my area). They had a ton of the ncaa08 football and ncaa08 basketball..and a couple of nba08s. They also had a bunch of PSP games including the D'arc game and one copy of Dracula X.

I am still mad I didnt grab Lair when I had the chance last night...cant believe it was gone in less then 12 hours from when I left it. Im still looking for the Simpsons game also.

I picked up one of each of the sports games ($34 after taxes and the $5off coupon) for either trading material or something.
