Thanks to Skube and Oxidative for this coupon. Important things to note-- this will make games ten dollars or under free, but it's advised to buy another item, such as a pack of gum.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

Well boys and girls, I've got a fun little story for you.

I've used the $10 off coupon featured in this and another thread a few other times at various Targets. Many times I'll get $9.98 or $7.98 games for free because of this blessed little coupon with no problems.

So today I stopped by another Target to see if they have anything on clearance. I walk through the isle and find five copies of Virtua Tennis 3 for $9.98. I ask one of the employees for all five games and she kindly obliges. I had some more shopping to do, so they took them up front for me.

I pick up a few necessities for the house and go to the front registers. I tell the cashier I have games held up front for me. She checks and gets them for me. As she's ringing them up, I pull out five coupons. She scans them, but instead of just scanning and moving on, she gets all Columbo on me and starts eying the coupon. She tells me she can't honor this coupon because it's $10 off any 360 game and the game is only $9.98. I tell her I've done this before with no problems so I'm not sure what the issue is.

After a few minutes of rousing conversation, she says her line is stacking up and someone else will have to help me. I move over to another empty register. Some other employee tells me the manager will be up to help me soon. I wait a few minutes and here comes the manager. I tell her the cashier would not take my coupons. Here's how the conversation goes:

Me: "The lady at the register wouldn't take my coupon for these games"
Manager: "Well it says $10 off any game and these games are only $9.98"
Me: "I bought two games that were $7.48 last week and got them for -$7.48"
Manager: "Then they made a mistake"
Me: "Right, so the games should be free"
Manager: "But the coupons doesn't say free, it says $10 off"
Me: "I'm not asking you to give me $0.02 back, I'm just asking for the amount off up to the total price of $9.98"
Manager: "We can't do that on these clearance items"
Me: "Is that a policy at the store or does the coupon say it excludes clearance titles or titles that are $10 and below?"
Manager: "No, I don't have it in writing, but it's just assumed"
Me: "Assumed? Do you assume your customers know your return policy? Of course not, that's why you have it up front in big bold letters"

Needless to say this fun goes on for a few more minutes. She won't budge and gives me a customer relation number to call. I take the card and promptly call them up. I get through the myriad of menus and finally to a person. Sadly it's someone who's first language isn't English. Thankfully he transfers me after he has a hard time understanding my problem to a nice and kind English speaking woman. I tell her what happened and she tells me that they should have taken my coupon.

So she apologizes and gives me a $5 gift card and calls up the store to notify them to honor the coupon.

I call back and ask for the store manager. I tell her who I am and ask if she's been contacted by Target customer relations. She tells me in a sheepish voice "yes". I ask if I can come get them games now that this is cleared up. She again says "yes". So I ask her to hold them for me since I'll be in tomorrow. She said they don't normally do that for clearance games, but because of the mix up, she would.

So, I'll end of getting my games for free, just stupid that I had to go through all that work. It's like they saw I was getting a great deal and all of a sudden wanted to change the rules on me. Yea, Target is getting screwed on this deal, sorry about that, but it's a Target coupon issued by Target. A deal is a deal no matter what.

I found The Simpsons on PS3 stuffed behind Spiderman for the PS3 on an endcap. The price said $24.98 and I took it to a scanner and it wrang up $12.48!! SOCRE, just like CAG told me. I assumed that someone stashed it there and they would come back for it. On my 45 mile drive home my "Check Engine Light" turned on. I called the shop and made an apointment to get that looked at. Than when I got home my wife made me mow the lawn. So after all that BS it was time to play the Simpsons!!! When I was about to open it I felt a piece of plastic. I looked and the game did not seemed to be sealed. I was able to slightly open the case to look inside and found out that the disc was not in there!!! I called target and I talked to a LOD and she said I could bring it back. I informed her that I would not be back into Minneapolis until Monday because I live in Wisconsin. She said I could come in and get a refund. I was so hoping to get this game, my 5 year old son is bummed out as well.

Sorry to hear that. I always check to make sure the seal is intact, whether it be a PC or video game product, before buying it. There's a reason stores use those security boxes or lock them behind glass, so make sure you're not buying a thief's leftovers.

I just returned two games (Castlevania X and MGS Portable Ops) because when I got home I noticed the sealed was sliced and no games inside! Target didn't give me any problems when I returned them today.

Now now this is no different then back when BestBuy had all those $5 off coupons for all the various systems and what not. How many people on this site abused them with copies and snagged tons of frontlane $4.99 games for free?

Ok call me names but I found no xbox 360 games on clearance. I did score Lair for the ps3 for 14.98 and Tony Hawk proving ground for 12.98. Then I went across the street to walmart and returned the Lair(still 59 bucks at walmart) in exchange for GTA IV. So I got GTA IV for the ps3 for 14.98. Would I do this elsewhere? No but I hate Walmart . They move in and promised a clean store that would not be an eyesore in a nice little town. Now there are walmart plastic bags all over the road and fences in the area, The parking lot is full of trash(not the customers but actual trash), The nice landscaping they put in has died. They lie and could care less about the community. So no I don't feel guilty. They put no effort into maintaining the area they occupy. Target however is clean and neat and a bonus to have in the area. The lot there is nice and maintained well even though they don't draw near as many customers. I like the employees at walmart but the company I have no qualms taking advantage of. I can only do this a few times a year but it is a good deal. Heck they never discount games at my walmart anyway.

I got Simpsons game & The Club for $12.48.

The employee just rung up the Simpsons game and then marked it as 2 copies I suppose, cause it was actually $29.98 for The Club. What a steal for me, and she was being a total bitch at me when I tried to use the $5 coupon. She said "Uhh no, you can't use those, they're for toys."

Oh well, The Club for $12.98, I'm not gonna complain.

WOW!!! I thought I used to go insane amounts of miles for deals. But, 45 miles ONE WAY? DAMN!!! I have 2 Targets by me, with the one being hit every damn day by the flea market asshole and a former Target employee scoops up the leftovers, the other one is ok and I find an occasional deal there, but there must be another SD/FW assmunch who grabs the better stuff from there too since I'm lucky if I find older PS2 games leftover most times.

Oh and Jedah, please go back to SlickDeals, you ing hoarder. Thank you. It's jerkoffs like you who alert companies to great deals/coupons that're being ABUSED and they start sending out memos that say that 'such and such a coupon is a FAKE', even if it's a legitimate corporate issued coupon.

Case in point, the 5 used games/movies(covered ANY games or movies) for $25 coupon from Blockbuster a number of months ago. People posted pics of STACKS upon STACKS of copies of Bioshock and many other recent games(at that time) that they snagged for the $25 deal. Soon after, the coupon was declared a fake by BBV and a memo was sent out.

It only takes a handful of assclowns to ruin it for the rest of us.

Harmony Universal Remote has been on clearance at my local Target for weeks at ~$90 and it just dropped to like $67. Hopefully it will be there until the next drop and I can snag it for ~$35. That would make my year!

Also both Final Fantasy PSP games were $14.98 as well but I passed.

Check upcdatabase.com, though it isn't as up-to-date as I remember it being, so some games might not be listed.
