This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

Just picked up Lost Odyssey for $14.98 (Homewood, IL).

Saw but passed on:

Also, I saw 2 copies of CoD4 PC. Scanned it at it came up no information.
 
Just came back from Harlem Irving Plaza Target in Chicago, IL and saw 3 copies of Lost Odyssey in the glass case marked at $14.98 for anyone who's interested.

I have seen games drop to 90% on a few occassions - generally when misplaced or when there are way too many copies of a single game left. I'm thinking this wrestling game might actually make it that low, since it's been sitting in stacks at 75% off for weeks now.

The same thing happened at one of my stores. But seeing as how they were already at 75% off, and how a lot of stores ship things to Goodwill after they don't sell for a few weeks at that clearance %age.....that's probably what happened. I'm sure Target has better use of two entire endcaps than to have 40 Scene-It?s just sitting there. I guess it pays to get one at 75% off just in case they disappear, especially when they have tons of extra copies......

I don't think anyone has reported seeing a Scene-It? at a $7.XX price?

I went to see if i could snag a COD4 (PC) for $5 and it came up not in system like what was reported here. I asked the employee and he was baffled at first and then he entered in the SKU from the price tag and it came up 49.99 so he called someone to come and re-tag the UPC.

Woo hoo! I picked up the last copy of Lost Odyssey for $15 and a couple copies of Scene it for $15 each. It's a great gift. My Target had about one trillion copies of Scene it too.

I also saw Skate for 360 for $15, but they only had one copy left. I passed on it. I prefer the Tony Hawk control scheme as it just seems simpler and more fun. That's me though.
 
My Target seems to be behind on the drops. The $9.98 PS2 games are still at $9.98, the copy of Skate I was hoping to get was gone (an employee bought it last night I think as he said he was looking for it, when I brought it back to the clearance rack after scanning it and it was $19.98). They just dropped Scene It to $29.98 today. Thankfully the Singstar Bundles (Amped and 90's) dropped to $12.48 so I got 90's, much better deal than the game only version they have on clearance for $14.98. Unreal on PS3 is still $19.98
 
picked up lost odyssey and scene it 14.98 each. There was quite a few lost odyssey and one sceneit left. Tons of gta iv bundles and madden ce 09.

Shame they had NOTHING For ps3 which is why i went there....

So what % markdown is the GTA IV SE at $44.xx? I wonder how much lower it will go. MSRP was something like $80?!? Just curious.

Also, Is there any trade-in value on the SE version of GTA IV to gamestop or blockbuster? I'm sure it is far less than $44.
 
I'm no the fence. Is Lost Odyessey worth $15? I'm upset that I can't find Grid for $15 either (though it's probably well worth the $30 I got my copy for).
 
Went to a couple Targets in the Richmond area.

:ps2: American Idol Encore $9.98

Picked up the last one since the rest disappeared since Friday. Also was hoping to pick up an external HD they had at 50% off last week. It must have dropped because all 4 disappeared since I checked on Friday.

Also saw Scene It for $14.98, though only about 7 of those left at one store that had about 20 last week.

Grid- $14.xx (one left )
Lost Odyssey- $14.xx (2 left)
NBA 2k8- $7.48 (3 left)
Scene it- $14.xx (about 15-20 left)

PS3:

Major League 2k8- $9.98 (1 left)
Eye of the Judgement with eyetoy- $17.xx (5 left)


DS- Ratatollie, Bee Movie, Enchanted- all $9.98 (1 left of each)

That was all the drops I saw today. GTA is still $44.xx, all PS3 games except above did not change, no PS2 drops, no Will drops, BUT WHY IS FRONTLINES STILL $41.XX? This game refuses to drop!
 
Finally got Lost Odyssey for 14.98 at my local Target(Kent, WA)
They still had 6 copies left.
They also had Madden 08 $7.48, Kung Fu Panda $29.98, NBA Live $7.48, and Club for $12.48. All for the 360.
 
Oh, I forgot about this, but New International Track and Field for DS dropped to 14.98 this morning, at Power and Ray in Gilbert, AZ. I gotta figure out what stores to scope out for that GTA IV...
 
Scored a copy of Condemned 2: Bloodshot for $5.04 today, Holyoke, MA last copy. They did have several copies of Bourne Conspiracy & DBZ Burst Limit for $14.98 (PS3)

I saw it for both $29.98 and $24.98.

I picked it up for PS3 for $14.98. The luxury of owning both systems.
 
The last time I was there they had it in the glass case. I asked him to scan it and it was still $41.98. This particular Target, in Lafayette, IN, is the closest one to me though its a half hour away. The next time I'm there, hopefully this weekend I'll have them check it again if it isn't marked down already.

Picked up the trifecta of Awesome (all 360)

Skate - $14.98
Lost Odyssey - $14.98
Scene It - $14.98

Best part was they were all marked $29.98, but I had UPC's printed out :cool:

Also saw Grid marked at $29.98, so that was probably $15 as well. I already have it so I left it for someone else.
 
Bit the bullet and bought the last GTAIV SE for $44.98 today. I figured it was cheaper than the game itself and I wanted to have the special edition. I would have waited for another price drop, but as it was the only one they had I grabbed it.

Considering that I think the PS3 version of the game goes for $34.99 @ Blockbuster(unless they jacked it back up), I doubt it has ANY real value there.

However, you could pair it up with 1-2 current gen titles during the current trade 2-3 and get 10-15 extra credit during the current Gamestop promo.

I'm watching one of those as well. It was at $69. I'm just wondering if I want to get it or wait for a deal on a better model.

lf my target ever drops it below 40 Ill grab you one. I know theres no chance ill get the 1 LO they have left.
