Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.
How did you manage that, mine were charging $22.99 with $10 of if you bought both of them, but that's still $36 where did the other savings come from? Is there another coupon I do not know about.
Check the DVD deals forum. All kinds of coupons there.
On the flip side I found an open box buy for some dvd players, both were obviously floor models. The thing that blew my mind was one had a big sticker on it that stated non working display model. Picked it up to make sure and yes it was a dummy unit! Way to go target and congrats to the idiot who will undoubtedly get a $20 as-is "dvd player"
Yep I hear you there. I was looking at some wiper blades on clearance. They had a 24" blade marked down 50% to $8.28. One was missing part of the cover and upon closer inspection turned out to be a used wiper blade with rust on it in a Michelin Optimum wiper blade box - but obviously not one of the Optimum blades - some one will have some 'splaining to do at the Returns Desk - unless it was ripped off in the store.
So just for my knowledge, are the only reasons you would want the standard 360 controller wired are if you're a pro gamer, you need it to make sure both the wired and wireless controllers when programming your game in XNA, and/or you just want a cheap controller?
That's one reason. I picked a wired one up for two reasons, if my wireless batteries are all dead or if I wanted to play the PC version of some games like Batman Arkham Asylum or Wolverine Origins but want to use the XB360 controller to play on the PC. It is plug and play when you hook up the MS 360 wired controller to a PC with XP or above OS running.

The low price and the gaming reasons are why I picked up two of each. It better than picking up one at $10 +tax later when your in desperate need of one.

On a thread note: haven't been able to find any clearance items in my area for a while now. At least anything of being note worthy. I found a couple of DS games but I think they were mentioned earlier. Has anyone in So Cal, specifically the IE, had any luck lately?
saw a pile of various accessories for all systems today including ps2 dualshocks and wii speak mics for 50% off
Ooh! I'll have to check my local Targets for a Wii speak mic for MH3.

Anyone have any idea if the wired Gamestop Xbox 360 controllers work with PC's also. My hunch is gonna say no but if anyone has one of them and would try it out or if you know please let me know thanks.

They don't. :(

I saw a Psyclone eco-battery pack for the wireless 360 controllers for $8 and change for a single battery. Anyone know if these batteries are any good? Do they hold a charge? I got a two pack battery set and charger for the 360 wireless controller at Sears a year back for cheep (by Intec I think) but the batteries sucked and no longer hold a charge.

I picked up a black official 360 battery today for $8.xx

They had a crapload of accessories for all platforms on clearance. Unfortunately the HDMI/USB pack sold out at $12.48 before I could get one. The USB cable pack(official Sony one) is on clearance at $14.xx currently.

To the dude who stashed Mass Effect 1 PE at Manassas, thank you! It seems that an employee found it and put it back on Clearance and it as already out of the system, so I got it for 5 bucks :) Seems whenever employees redo another section (like furniture), stuff is bound to be found...so I guess I will start looking in the furniture section for stashed goods.
Local store had Star Wars: TFU sith edition for PC, marked $9.98. Along with a cope of Tiger Woods for $41.xx.

Left both.
Have there been any good mods for the PC version yet? The last three expansion missions kinda left me with a "Ok....now what?" feeling.

I saw a few of the Star Trek preorder packs for 24 cents today at 75% off, it mentioned something about having a coupon for the game as well as some "exclusive" in game items. It did come in a dvd case, not sure if it actually has a disk slot or not.

The closest Target to me has been sitting on Dark Void for the past 3 weeks at $41.98. They had 5 copies then, they have 3 copies now, and it's been the same GD price. Yuck.

I forgot to use this before the game launched. All it did was give you 5 dollars off the main game and a phaser rifle. If you tried to use it after launch, it wouldn't work...so even though it's 24 cents, you are actually wasting your money on something you can no longer redeem and I think the 5 dollar coupon expired already.

Kinda hard for a 31 year old man to hide games in the lingerie section when teenagers are in there getting their first bras. Not worth the savings IMO.
Found Chaotic Shadow Warriors for 360 for $3.74 today. Never heard of it but picked it up...it can't be that bad.....right?
It's not terrible, it's just kinda droll. If you have kids, or a fan of the show, it's better.

Here's what I found at my Elizabethtown, KY Target

Lego Rock Band (PS3) $27.98 (3 copies) - verify on price checker
Prototype (PS3) $27.98 (1 left) - verify on price checker
Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 (PS3) $41.98 (2 Left) - in glass case at the bottom
Spore (Wii) $27.98 (2 copies)
NHL 2K10 (Wii) $27.98 (3 copies)
Star Wars: Clone Wars - RH (PC) $27.98 (2 copies)

I think that what he meant was that the word was being misused, and didn't make sense. In context, the poster probably meant to say that the game was "dull", rather than "amusing in an odd way" or "whimsically humorous".
Found Chaotic Shadow Warriors for 360 for $3.74 today. Never heard of it but picked it up...it can't be that bad.....right?
$4 is worth the price of admission for any current gen game for me (yes, even sports titles, if only to expand my ever-growing video games collection).

I agree with that statement in general.
My Target had a random couple of PS3 GI Joe and ...whatever that hamster movie was game. Both scanned @ $0 and I couldn't be bothered to hunt down someone to give me a price as neither really appeal.
Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 is $20 at Sears if you can find it!
I only have one Sears that actually sells games within an hour of me. It didn't have it. :(

Checked out the Jersey City store today, again. They are really moving stuff around and are going to be opening their fresh grocer section soon. Anyway, they had a ton of clearance games, but mostly Wii and DS shovelware, some PSP games, and a handful of other crap.

I meant to say dull, don't know why I typed that, lol.

I found a few black rechargeable 360 battery packs at the Target on 290 & Hollister. Also found the Bass Pro Strike 360 game & controller for $40. I'd wait for it to make another drop.

There was one at my local target at that price but it was gone today. Ah, well, not like I was really gonna play it anyway ;)

Ouch, guess the deals in chesapeake are dead >_>.

Checked 3 different Targets, 1 only had a few Wii games, the other had a few DS games, and the 3rd had squat.

Its amazing how fast the epic clearance deals they had emptied out @_@.

hehehe, i figured you did. Droll just didn't fit with the context.

i love how some dude linked dictionary.com to me.

That Bass Pro Strike Bundle has gone as low as $20 i believe but they all sold out at $40 at my store so i never got a copy. i probably shouldve picked it up at $40.

They had about 15 PS2 Silver Dualshock 2 controllers for $17.xx (30% off). Hoping they'll last 'til 75% off. I looked around for the wired :360: controllers but found nothing:(

Dude, the whole area is cleaned out. I checked the Carmichael Way Target last week and it had nothing. My usual stops (Greenbrier, Military, South Independence, and First Colonial) didn't have squat. I was working at a research site the other day in Suffolk and stopped by the Chesapeake Square Mall one on the way home and it was the same way.

I wanted a wired :360: controller for $9.xx sooooo bad .

Got a pair of Skull Candy Lowrider XBox360 Headphones off the clearance shelf for $15...definitely YMMV...

Clearance sticker said "was $29.xx now $14.xx" but at the register they rang up as $49.xx - and when the code from the clearance tag was typed in, it didnt match the item ... a mngr was called up, she examined the sticker to see if it might have been taken off another item, but the sticker was in perfect condition. I told her that it looks like maybe a store mistake, but that i'm pretty sure they have to give it to me for that price. She called another manager, who told her over the phone to tell me no. I asked to speak with him, and when he came out i explained to him that i wasn't looking to rip anybody off, but the item had a clearance sticker, was on the clearance shelf, and i expected to get it for that price. I don't know if I had a leg to stand on or not, I was just going by what I'd heard...he eventually gave in and gave me the clearance price.

Isn't it standard policy that a store needs to honor a stickered price as long as it has been determined that the sticker was placed by the store and has not been tampered with? If the manager had said no again that would have been it for me...how far would you have taken it?

This is the item in question: http://www.amazon.com/Skullcandy-Lo...1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1269612083&sr=8-1

This sort of thing is always a heapin helpin of ymmv; I think most stores don't have to do anything if it's an honest pricing mistake. I personally would've probably just let it go as I frequent the same Targets over and over again and I don't want to burn goodwill unless I have to. But I don't think there's anything particularly wrong with raising a little ruckus in that sort of situation.
