Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in gold are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Just tried the copy that was in my backlog and it patched and made it to the main menu without freezing.

Thanks. I'm going to assume it's my Xbox as it is currently telling me that the disc is unreadable when trying to play a demo.
 
WOOT, Target screwed up, they had DS Lites on clearance som e older blue on pink models for $74.98, Right next to the newer black DSi models but they put all the DSi's in the wrong section.

I figured the worst that can happen is the Manager says No. No harm in asking.

I walked the entire store tracked down the manager in person "never called him" thats they key.

I told him Sir I need to show you something. Showed him the DSI's he was like OGM!

I showed him the 1 black DSi I had in my hand I said I am only getting 1.

He rang me up himself.

Now I am stuck with a $75 DSi factory sealed. No games and my money I was gonna spend on NBA2K11 is gone.

WTF do I do. Sell the DSi ? Keep it?

maybe i can finally pick up bioshock 2 and avp.

although i'm still unsure about bioshock 2, i think i rather keep my xbox copy as dlc is easier to get on there and i hear pc version is full of bugs.

avp is a crappy game, but i wouldn't mind getting it to test a dx11 supported game.
 
my target here in vegas has borderlands for 20.98 clearance. is that a good deal for this game? should i pull the trigger?

There's a GOTY edition coming out with all the DLC included I believe. But by itself it's a very fun game if you have a friend to play with.

lmfao. Just because a deal is there, doesn't mean you should buy it.

See: Fairytale Fights .. or in this case, the DSi you don't really want in the first place.

That's one of the problems with the clearances at target. A lot of times people just buy stuff because it's on clearance and then realizing after spending so much money on the item(s), they later regret it...leading to buyer's remorse. Everything eventually drops in price or you will find it down the road for around the price you were going to pay for when it was on clearance.

I really did buy a DSi that I really don't want or need.

I can always return it. You guys are right its happened to all of us before I guess.

Most recent is Splinter Cell Conviction at BB for $19.99 I bought it then realized I did not want it nor need it. And that was $20 off HALO REACH so I returned SCC.

just like Walmart had the Bioshock 2 Collectors Edition in this huge box for $19.99 and I passed.
 
MrYouTube, it makes sense to me that you could easily sell that thing for $110, making like $20 in the process. Sure it may take a week or two rather than your refund, but since you already got it for so low and are selling it low, it'll go quick!
 
My local targets is pissing me off, because 1 of 3 things keeps happening.

1. The shelves full of awesome games mysteriously go missing in less than a day or two when the price drops susposed to happen. (Just like the 4+ Dead Rising's they had, and the 5+ H.A.W.X)

2. Someone keeps hoarding the living hell out of it

or 3. The management doesnt like games dropping below a certain point.

Good news. I caught my store in the middle of dropping prices and noticed the Halo endcap was cleared out and being relabeled.

I did notice that Tony Hawk's Ride and DJ Hero for PS3 and 360 were TPD to $29.99 each.
 
Was able to snag Wii Hasbro Family Game Night $9.98, and a DS Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass for $8.74. Also found a blue Mega Blox Halo Wars figure left over from the early August toy clearance. Got that for $2.48. Found a green one a couple of weeks back too. My kid likes them, and at $2.48, why not?

Found some of the hard drives going for $30 today (and a few for $34). They were not marked properly though, they still had a $41 sticker on them.

Saw a bunch of the same drops mentioned like the Borderlands add on for 10.98 and Saboteur for 13.98. Also saw Scene-It(newer one without the controls) for 13.98, Clash of the Titans for 13.98, Backyard Football '10 13.98. All 360. PS3 everything was still 20.98 - SF4, UFC 09, Borderlands.

Passed on all but got my mom a webcam for 4.98 and microphone for 2.48 so she can video chat with her brother in Florida.

A bunch of Pc and wii games. Guitar Hero 5 guitar kits for ps3 and xbox, tons of psp gear and even some flat screen tvs. One that comes to mind was some 42 inch one that I think was 450.

I think I paid $3.xx for NCAA Football 08 a year ago (my daughter got Strawberry Shortcake for PS2 at $2.49). That's the lowest I have ever seen (that plus a $1 cd from some Maroon 5 wannabe band that my wife likes).

Wow -- nice price on those WD drives -- how'd you do that given they're on sale for $55 this week?

I thought about getting the ones on sale, then changed my mind after I saw that I could grab WD's 2TB hard disk for $110 with standard free shipping at Amazon.

Wow. Great deal on what is a pretty good game with a HUGE game world with A LOT of secrets to it. I paid MSRP at Gamestop at launch and I still don't regret it, though the game DOES get repetitive at times and the flight controls for planes kinda suck.
 
Definitely a big drop day; was sad to see the WD drives were all gone from both the stores I frequent, not sure if they got the drop or if they were gone at the $40 price (hoarders around me are really dumb). The ones on clearance are not the same as the ones on sale for $55. (which would likely be why the clearance ones are on clearance-- old packaging)

I did pick up the Sony Pocket ereader for $37.48 (score! the electronics guy couldn't believe it when he was getting it out of the case for me) and a case for $13ish; going to be a birthday gift for my dad. Was really tempted by Burnout Paradise but I already have it on PS3 and Steam so I thought while an awesome game, kind of silly to buy for a third platform. ;)

Couldn't find Alien vs Predator PC, I'd only seen it once recently. Everyone in Hickory Hollow/Brentwood/Franklin, TN was apparently happy with Phantom Hourglass at $17.48 because I couldn't find a trace of that. No magic appearances of the Punch-Out bundle at $16.98 or whatever, to my dismay. But all things considered, I am happy, and I made back a good chunk of change returning games I had bought at just 30/50% off. Oh, if only I had practiced that sooner...

The ones on sale for $55 are the my passport series....the ones I got were the elements drives. I actually like the elements ones better as they don't come with any bloatware. The elements are probably a little bigger at this point but still absolutely a portable drive. Very happy with the price!

Stopped at one store this morning and all 8 of those hard drives disappeared. They were in the middle of goin thru all the shelves at that department, so I figured I'd try back later to see what else they might drop.

Went to the furthest one away during work, found only 1, but that store is usually the slow one on drops, and I wasnt sure I wanted to drop 30 on it, so I went to one more store. 5 of the 6 that had been there disappeared too, and the 1 that was left, I could have sworn was 30 last week, but now its back up to 42? lol I'm sure I just remember wrong, but damn! Think I was just bummin cuz it looks like 20 of them things disappeared in 3 days :cry:

Ended up back at the first Target again, still no sign of them anywhere, but thankfully the electronics employee had seen one in their sorting cart. Grabbed it for 29.98 Was hoping they'd last 1 more drop, but I knew better. Got a little more lucky on the second trip too, found me a copy of Phantom Hourglass, that hadn't been there in a month or more, for 8.74 :)

Now, if I can get that drive case open, and it has the drive in it I've heard being reported, I might try and snag one of those 2 I left at the other stores, and swap out the small drive in this laptop :)

And somewhere in all that, I grabbed a GE 3in1 PC headset for 4.98 Kid broke his set just a couple days ago. Damn, I'm tired of replacing those. What's that, pair number 5?!
