Previous threads:

Target clearance is YMMV
Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction. Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 70% or 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, DCPI # and online item # in RED!!!

For example:

:ps3:
$4.98
123-45-6789 Random Game Name #12345678

DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself.

DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI #'s or Online Item #'s that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

New link to search for items using Target's online item #:

You can also take the DPCI # and search on Target.com for an exact match and then use the store locator there.

(HUGE PROPS TO mitch079 FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL INFO!!!)

If you are having trouble with the above search here are more detailed directions:
Take the DPCI #s and search on target.com for an exact match and then use the store locator there. If there isn't an exact match, try googling Target and the DPCI #. For instance, on the 500 gb Seagate hard drive, it doesn't show up on the site. Google shows the online # as 13730271. Then, you can plug the online # in http://m.target.com/fiats/t- and put the online number after the - so the link would be: http://m.target.com/fiats/t-13730271. Hit enter, plug in your zip and it should work.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing in-store as often price tags will not be correct:

1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to BigDirty for that^

Regarding items posted in the OP:

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

Numbers in purple are DPCI #'s, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Numbers in orange are online item #'s.

I am starting off this new thread going back to October 1st, 2012.
Please refer to the prior thread for any items before then.

THIS IS A WIKIFIED THREAD!!! IF YOU ARE ABLE TO, PLEASE UPDATE THE OP WHEN YOU REPORT DROPS USING THE APPROPRIATE FORMAT!!!

THANK YOU....

I do when hunting down rare, valueable games at stores like TRU, Kmart, etc. Or, when it's a big ticket item for cheap or huge price cut!
I always figured people got some kind of thrill out of the hunt.
That only works if you land something, haven't from Target this whole year.

I know it's not clearance, but I stopped at the target by my school after graduation and found online item Ragnarok Odyssey vita for 10.xx. I ended up paying about 8.6x before tax. Should I keep it?

Seriously? We've had a dry spell for the past half a year, but you've found nothing this whole year?

Wow, uh you stumbled on a real gem. It's a Vita game, and a great one at that.

Saw 3 Little Deviants for $5.98 at Hayward, CA Target on Whiple. Already have it so didn't buy.

 you're right.

So on the subject of the Target prices scanners. You used to be able to manually enter a DCPI code into the price scanners by hitting one of the buttons and getting to a manual entry field. It seems they have new scanners now and that trick no longer works (or if it does, I'm unaware of how to access it). Can someone confirm for me that feature is gone or if not, how to access it now?

Thanks.

Still there on the new scanners, just hit the far right (?) button and a touch screen number pad will come up.

Yeah checked all 4 of my targets found MGS and SFxTekken CE yet they rang up for normal price...were still in the game area thou. Werid thou this target had the CE of SFxTekken for both systems yet rings up for 59.99. All these drops are YMMV but i keep checking just in case hehe.

I could have sworn I tried that (and tried all the other buttons also) and nothing changed on the screen, almost as if they had changed the software not to accept input from the buttons anymore. But I'll give it another shot when I'm there next time. Thanks for the response.

I grabbed a Little Deviants last week for $9.98 at Target, still had 4 left, but I ended up selling it since I wasn't sure if I really wanted it. Went back to Target today for some Christmas shopping and found one last copy of Little Deviants, now marked at $5.98. I'll keep this one. I dress as Santa for my niece and nephew on Christmas Eve and everyone needs to put a gift in the bag for themselves so the kids see everyone getting something from Santa. This will be my gift from Santa (of course, since I AM Santa, I have to open it when I get "back from the store" like every other year, lol.)

I saw MJ:The Experience for $5, but passed. Rest has been ipad covers, childrens books, Wii shovelcrap. So no, I've had zero pick ups. I used to find things like SSFIV and GoW Collection for $7, but not anymore. My store sells it junk for full price because no other (good) game stores near, that and they ship their merch to another store or good will before it goes on clearance.

This. I noticed some of the Target stores I've gone too went let you manually input the DCPI number anymore to check prices when in the past it did. Maybe its a Lost Prevention thing. Only thing I can think of.

Wow, yeah, those clearance games accessories sound terrible. Target clearance has been pretty dead for some time, but I still managed to get some great stuff, most notably the Resistance Move bundle for $45 and Black Ops controller Bundle for $24.

I just found 2 Black Ops II Care Packages(one for xbox and one for PS3) at the Target in Otsego, MN. They were both $179.99(which is full price), but you don't really see them in stores at all any more.

No, they are just the Hardened Edition in a big case with a flying drone.
No xbox 360 system is included in the Care Package.
Then what are they charging $180 for? They got gold bars in there? $180 is the price for a console, not a game.
No, they are just the Hardened Edition in a big case with a flying drone.
Is that worth $120?

Most say no. The drone is made out of cheap foam, apparently. Can't resell because after fees and shipping, all profits are gone. Better off buying a regular flying helicopter or something.

by chance anyone see any nook covers on clearance, i know a while back the kindle fire cases were clearanced. i'm pretty sure i have seen a nook accessories there as well.

I picked one up. It was the only one and I don't know if it was clearance or online item. It was a "simple touch" size for about $4.

the Target clearance that time forgot:

IMG_20121221_125544_468_zpsda2db9e2.jpg

It's like some guy was going through some crap in his attic and was like "I wonder if I could convince Target to take back this pile of VHS tapes I have. I'll just put em in a plastic bag." And the beat up box of cassette tapes is nice too.

I suppose it's entirely possible that they actually carry these on the shelves, I haven't looked. It's just weird and I keep seeing them week after week so I thought I'd share.

^^I would have picked them up if they were hi-8 for the SONY night-vision camcorder I just got at savers. That sounds pervy, but I need to test it.

usually electronics gets clearance games on Mondays. I seen a MGS Collection appear at my local store for PS3, so hoping to catch it on clearance soon since someone bought the 360 version a day before they clearance electronics.

I still use my vcr too. I've never had a dvr or tivo. I still need to figure out how to record from my HD box to my VCR.

Seen that ferrari game for $35 and $15 sounds good, but checking reviews seems like it was a major dud. Test Drive used to be a great franchise. Might have to wait for it to hit sub $10 from a 3rd party amazon seller or newegg.
was r&c clearance or was it an "as-is" or "online item"?
Clearance.... Allentown, PA Target had about 8 copies of it on clearance

found one in Carlisle, PA too

I don't remember what it stands for, but it basically means they will not get anymore and it is discontinued.
