Previous threads:

Target clearance is YMMV
Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction. Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 70% or 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, DCPI # and online item # in RED!!!

For example:

:ps3:
$4.98
123-45-6789 Random Game Name #12345678

DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself.

DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI #'s or Online Item #'s that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

New link to search for items using Target's online item #:

You can also take the DPCI # and search on Target.com for an exact match and then use the store locator there.

(HUGE PROPS TO mitch079 FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL INFO!!!)

If you are having trouble with the above search here are more detailed directions:
Take the DPCI #s and search on target.com for an exact match and then use the store locator there. If there isn't an exact match, try googling Target and the DPCI #. For instance, on the 500 gb Seagate hard drive, it doesn't show up on the site. Google shows the online # as 13730271. Then, you can plug the online # in http://m.target.com/fiats/t- and put the online number after the - so the link would be: http://m.target.com/fiats/t-13730271. Hit enter, plug in your zip and it should work.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing in-store as often price tags will not be correct:

1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to BigDirty for that^

Regarding items posted in the OP:

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

Numbers in purple are DPCI #'s, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Numbers in orange are online item #'s.

I am starting off this new thread going back to October 1st, 2012.
Please refer to the prior thread for any items before then.

THIS IS A WIKIFIED THREAD!!! IF YOU ARE ABLE TO, PLEASE UPDATE THE OP WHEN YOU REPORT DROPS USING THE APPROPRIATE FORMAT!!!

THANK YOU....

I couldn't pass this up, I was able to get this for $40 + tax. Something to drive to work or to the store now, it's pretty cool and goes like 15MPH. Picture in spoiler for proof.

These were $11.48 or something like that at my Target.

That's awesome, especially at that price! I'd so drive that thing to work and around my neighborhood.
at my local store it is showing as 19 and change. there is a sticker that states thats it has a copy of prototype
Don't be surprised if that offer is long expired.

Wasnt going to look seeing as my fav local had only Neverdead 20+ copies, NHL 12 20+ copies and Ratchet and Clank FFA 20+ copies at $13 waiting for that magic 5 price point. But two items that were in the mix were Brunswick Bowling Kinect and MT vs ATX Alive ps3 for $1.56 a piece labeled AS-IS. Picked up both of them. Thanks to the cagger who reminded me about the online return boost. Unopened games for under $3.50 for the kids to goof around with yes please :)
It is 100% mileage, since it accounts to both aspect of obtaining this deal.

The first part is finding the price, which could work with either meaning. However, the other part is finding stock, which is where the whole mileage concept comes from. Additionally the concept works in other contexts, like getting a deal that violates a companies policy. Like when Saints Row 3 CE was on sale at TRU, some people were able to get the match without any effort, where as had to deal with BB calling locations to see if they could find stock as per BB policy. The same goes for using a coupon with a price match, return rebuy or several other things that are bound to work if you try enough stores / locations.
I always used Market, not mileage. Especially since 90% of these clearance deals never fly in my area, theres a lot of high volume targets so I don't see a lot of those deals, especially the vita ones. But to each his own, its not like its mandatory to use the right one ;)

That is freaking awesome. Congrats on the find.

Picked up these today:

Batman Arkham City (PS3) - $8.98
Mortal Kombat (PS3) - $5.98

Both are the vanilla versions.

It was on one of the bottom back racks. Not sure how long it had been out and I'm surprised no one had bought it. It weighs almost 70 pounds and it wasn't very fun trying to get it up to my upstairs apartment.

Not the type of gaming we all are into but I found a bunch of leap pad games on clearance ($17). Not the greatest deal but these things never get very cheap. Picked up a couple for my son this morning.

TRU had a few decent sales a few times during the holidays. Came out to about $13 a piece.

Damn, how did I miss those sales?! Thanks for the heads up, I'll keep a eye out for future sales at TRU.

Thanks for the heads up. I bought a couple of games for my son during the holiday sales at TRU. Will check Target. I'm planning to get either a leap pad 1 or 2. Would spending more on the newer version be worth it in your opinion?

The wife annoyance-to-dollar ratio on this is unprecedented.
I scored a fucking sweet deal tonight at the East Liberty Target in Pittsburgh. I found a :ps3: Resident Evil 6 Anthology in one of the overflow endcaps marked at full price ($89.99). It didn't have any DCPI, Online item or Repackaged stickers on it. Luckily I decided to give it a scan and it came up at $26.98! 70% off! I'm guessing it hit the clearance cycle but whatever worker was marking games never updated it with the clearance stickers. It might be a wild goose chase for most of you but if you saw one of these in an endcap its worth a trip to give it a scan. Hopefully some other CAG's can find it. Here's a pic for proof.

EDIT: I'm a dope and forgot the DCPI is on the receipt. Its 207 24 0758 for :ps3: RE 6 Anthology.
20121230_215728_zps5ec2a165.jpg

I also found :psp: GTA Chinatown Wars for $5.99 at 70% off. DCPI is 207 20 0403
That's a damn good find! I'll be on the lookout for that because I wouldn't mind adding those games to the backlog. Thanks for the pic as well!

I've never messed with the LP1 but as for the LP2, it's very nice. Our son is 4 and is having a blast with it. I can see him using it fir a long time. Wish I could be more help.
If I can find Anthology I'll shit 5 bricks.
Lol... Best of luck. Not available in OKC, unless some stores have inventory thats unaccounted for.

Thanks for the input. My son is almost 2.5 years old and he keeps wanting to play with my TP and my wife's Ipad. I'm afraid that he'll chuck it across the room so I need a kid-friendly tablet. I've decided to spend the extra $20 for the LP2. A quick look at Amazon reviews tells me that LP1 had quite a few quality control problems.

I should really make the rounds to my local (and not so local) Targets. It's been too long. And that Anthology looks might tempting...

Yeah, thats what I figured. Norman is good for nothing with things like that. MAYBE one target store in the city, kinda ghetto place honestly. Can't remember the streets.

Anyways, that deal has me all butt-hurt thinking about it, haha.

My Target only had Singularity sitting on the shelf for 11.98. Bunch of calendars as well, but nothing special.

Wasn't a wasted trip however, because Christmas candy hit 90% off. Stocked up on a ton of different flavored M&Ms/buttferfinger bells/godiva chocolate bars/etc. :D.

Ugh, two Targets near me, Cumming, GA and North Alpharetta, with nothing on clearance. Good thing, since I don't have any disposable income anyway.

No games clearance at Greenland, NH Target, but did pick up a Phillips lit 7 foot Christmas tree. The original price was $300. Price today = $30. Picked up a bunch of candy cane boxes for 24 cents too!

Store by home had more copies of :360: Singularity (every store in my area has a minimum of a dozen copies) and few :ps3: NHL 2012. A bust video game wise. However, still a decent amount of X-Mas candy. 19 cent Pez, 10 cent candy filled plastic candy canes and 49 cent for a two pack of mini holiday coffee bags.

not anything exciting as far as games. lots of singularity.

my wife did score some burts bees lip balm for 29 cent a package and some 21 cent nail polish.

the big score for her, and eventually my stomach down the road...
http://www.target.com/p/rachael-ray...-/A-11262453#prodSlot=medium_1_11&term=rachel ray

they had two sets. was still marked at 49.99, but we scanned it and it rang up as 4.99 , a friend back home mentioned she got one for that price...so we took a look. just throwing it out there.

Found Virtue's Last Reward for Vita for $10.06 (OIR) at mine. Besides that, not much else except a ton of Kirby's Epic Yarn for $15.

Going to take a swing and assume the OIR = Online Item Return.

Picked up Ratchet and Clank: Full Frontal Assault for $13.98. Since my Target had quite a few of these I might just check back next week t if it gets cheaper and do a return/rebuy.
Going to take a swing and assume the OIR = Online Item Return.
Truth. Was shocked to see it.

Not trying to spam the thread, but I know since you all love target deals, i know what would make it better... using shopkick if you don't already, check out the link in my signature below.
Currently if you check out this link http://app.shopkick.com/gift/50PLS21-50PLS22 after using my link below to make your account, the other link will just ask for the phone # you registered your account with and then next time you walk in to target it should give you an instant $2 gc to use to there, I've already used about $41 to target, definitely worth it and I recommend it, mind you that was only in a few months... I'm really trying to get referrals, but please only join if you're serious about it. I also earn 50% of the amount of kicks you earn for 14 days, the last promo was better, 100% for 30 days, but what are you gonna do? I'd love to get points to save money on clearance deals. Please and thank you! :)

Was it the blue or Orange color that rang up that price? It looks like they have different items in two different sets, which was yours or is there a sku handy?

Online, it has Fable 3 for $10. I walk into my local Target, and it says $20. The lady who scans it says $20. I hate my Target. Never has any good clearance items.

My Target has had the same three copies of Singularity marked at $27.98 for over 10 months now (The included Prototype deal expired two years ago). It's a fun little game to see where they've stashed them every time we go in.

I REALLY enjoyed Singularity... a year ago when the games was already over a year old, sold poorly and clearanced out.
TOTALLY worth the $6 I paid for it then.
Not saying it's not worth $20 because it totally is, but the day has come and gone and I'm just unclear what Target is thinking.
