Previous threads:
Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
123-45-6789

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The website for locating clearance titles by their DPCI # is here: Find In Store

Much like the ASIN location website replace the DPCI # at the end of the URL...

(HUGE PROPS TO aj slick FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL TOOL!!!)

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell:

No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

I think 150 is about the magic price point for these. I got one for launch for about that with Dell's coupon code stacking thing and got my fiance one last week at Best Buy for it and were both really happy with them.

FWIW the Best Buy one was still firmware 6.2 which is now hacked (but not quite released) so KH:BBS and such should be playable on them by Christmas if you or a friend has an old psp to dump the UMD from. I'm looking forward to being able to buy clearance games and get some of my old stuff like Lumines back on the machine that I actually use these days.

All the 360 games I want (Brutal Legend, Saboteur, Dead Rising) are all still sitting at 13.98. No drops on any of these for the past few weeks and I'm fearing the unwashed masses may snatch them up soon if they get wise to the clearance endcap.

I know the PSP Go gets a lot of hate, but damnit, I love that hated little device. I have owned or played all the PSP models and it is my favorite. It is so light, so easy to play on and the screen is decent enough.

I would recommend anyone picking it up at $150 or less if you had any interest in it at all (meaning that you do not mind it being DD only).
Meh. I can't support a console that can't even play it's own games (See KH: Birth By Sleep)
What else?

I love mine as well. It's so convienent and just a lot more comfortable to use than the regular PSP.
Come on $40 !! Please Hit $40 !!
$62.48 would be the 75% off price. Highly doubtful it goes any lower. I might consider it at that price... but would still pass. Seriously considering trading in my PSP-2000, and can't imagine I would want to replace it with a different version that does even less.

Thanks for this post, I had no idea the Go was that close to being hacked. :)

Accessories for the PSPgo are on clearance, as well. I snagged a case for ~$4, a dock for ~$7, and some screen shields for ~$2 at the Wilkes-Barre, PA Target earlier this week.

For the past couple weeks I had been wondering why none of the games had red stickers on them. Well it turns out they moved the clearance games to the movie area. It didnt look like there was anything new though so maybe I didnt miss much.

PSP Go is a fantastic hand held device, only held back by Sony's lack of support on PSN as well as its inability to competitively price its online content. Sony needs to take a look at Steam and adopt their sales method.

OP still hasn't said if its the white or black one. Target hasn't had the white units in a while, but all stores are still stuffed to the brim with black ones it seems.

Haven't gotten a chance to shoot back there. 2 yo daughter has been sick. Sorry...I imagine i'd be black though, white units are harder to find.
Nothing beats it for the gamer on the road either. It's so nice taking only one carrying case on an airplane for 4-hour flights and never have to worry about swapping discs. After having both a PSP-3000 and Go, I would take the latter every day of the week when I travel.
You can do that with your PSP-3000 too you know...
You can do that with your PSP-3000 too you know...
yeah, you can, but can you play 24 games on your PSP-3000 that you didn't buy digitally..or do you have to carry 6 different styles of carrying cases / UMD holders to achieve that when you go on a trip? do you really want to sit down and open 24 UMD cases, put 24 UMD's inside said holder, find a bag to carry all that, and then walk out the door? OR would you simply want to grab one unit with all your games, that will last for 8 hours, and has a charging system less bulky that a PSP-3000??

I'm sick and tired of 'the psp-3000 can do all that' b/c it really can't. The 100% main difference b/t the 3000 and Go is form factor, and nothing beats the form factor of a Go for portability..

I completely agree with this post and love my 3000.
I'll grab the DPCI if I go out during lunch today.
I'm def. interested in one for sub-$100 pricing.

Huh? You can play the same digital download games on the rest of the PSPs, not just PSPGo. No one is saying to bring the UMDs. You'd get a memory card for the PSP-3000s, buy the digital versions like you would if you buy the Go. On TOP of that, you can still play UMDs, meaning I can put Birth by Sleep (or any other UMD only game) in my PSP, play everything your PSPGo can, and then some. No one's talking about lugging around 24 UMDs.

true true, I know that, but a lot of these arguments tend to be skewed b/c nobody wants to buy the digital games...IDK, I'm all for it either way, the PSP in any way shape or form has always been my number one favorite portable system. Maybe I'm jealous (?) b/c I don't have a 3000 and there are all these awesome bundles and designs on them ;) always wanted one, never dropped the dough..

Being new to PSP, I recently purchased a Go through the recent $150 Best Buy sale, and I absolutely love it. I've always wanted a PSP, but the huge size of the standard PSP systems was prohibitive (in addition to the crappy performance of UMDs). Now I have Metal Slug XX, LittleBigPlanet, Wipeout Pulse, Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters, SOCOM FTB 3, Phantasy Star Portable 2, and Valkyria Chronicles 2 in a tiny package, conveniently holstered on my belt (via a smartphone case).

The inability to play UMDs sucks, but the truth is that I can carry my Go on me at all times, with no encumberance, and that's just something I can't do with a standard PSP. This singular fact means everything to me in a portable system, and I would gladly sacrifice the UMD drive for it.

Just my experience.

2 :360: Prince of Persia at 13.98. Had a copy in my hand, but I put it back. Is the game any good?
If it's the 2008 version you're talking about then yes, it is excellent, though it's nothing like any of the other games in the series. You'll either love it or hate it.

Yeah I'd buy one for less than $100, especially if there was a UMD external drive that could be connected to the Go just so to have the option if PSP 3000 breaks. I've got a bunch of PSN stuff like demos/trailers/PSN games that I could use a PSPGo for. My PSP 3000 can be used for my UMD needs.

I normally play my PSP game at home anyway, so portability is just a bonus to me just like my Gameboy Micro.

Is the $4.98 price for MGS4 for the :ps3: only for the regular version? All I've seen in stores is the Greatest Hits version priced at $19.

I'm fairly sure that is for the BL version of the game.....

I think they have the same UPC.

What does this mean? I'm assuming you're not referring to Depo-Provera Contraceptive Injection. ;)

I'm not entirely sure whether you're joking or not, so I'll give a serious answer. Maybe it'll be useful to others if you are already aware.
DPCI (DePt. Class Item) is Target's method for tracking and replenishing product.
Dept. 207 (Electronics)
Class 19 (?)
Item 0066 (Blk PSPGo)

I read somewhere some 3rd party company was developing an external UMD that connects to the go...what happened to that?

The PSP Go tanked. Would you make an add-on for a dead product?

I think that's the same experience that all 14 Go owners have if they were new PSP consumers.

I LOVE my Go. I first bought a 3000 and couldn't stand it because of its size and the fact that I would have to carry games with me. I'm not 12, so that didn't work. Now I can have my Go on me at any time, without even realizing it's on me (with all my games in one spot).

I wasn't a new PSP consumer when I got my Go. I've had PSP since launch. Might be the reason I like the Go so much. The comfort factor, and especially the convenience factor.

People were always saying Sony should do away with UMD, they did and now people are wanting it back. Just can't make people happy.

The thing about Depo-Provera was a joke but I honestly didn't know what you were talking about. Thanks for breaking it down.

So...what's the value of that? Is there some way to check on prices with that info?
The PSP Go tanked. Would you make an add-on for a dead product?
I don't think it's a complete failure...yes granted it didn't sell as expected...but it did sell never the less. To remove the UMD from the system was a big mistake...yea I know they were trying to make a small and sexy PSP..but to remove that was just asking for trouble.

All someone has to do is release a UMD add on drive and it can save the system!
Not on clearance at my local Target stores. Reg price is 199.99. Checked a scanner - same thing... Damn.
Every target I have been to has them locked behind the case. you lucky bastard lol.
Picked up :ps3: Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 for $12.48
Me too!
Also got Street fighter IV for $7.48

Ugh, Sigma still $35 and Street Fighter still $21 here, but then again, my Targets are routinely slow on drops. Did see a GH PSP game I hadn't seen before while I was in there today for a GPotatoe card for the kid. Pretty sure it was Mortal Kombat for $10

I just got back from Target in Bergen Town Center in Paramus, NJ.

Brutal Legends XBOX360- 4.98
Club House Games DS- 4.98
Bioshock XBOX360- 10.98
Dragon Age PS3- 20.98
Resident Evil 5 Gold PS3- 20.98
WWE game for XBOX360 (not sure what the name was)- 14.98
Guitar Hero 5 PS3 gameonly- 20.98

there was a bunch more.. including Transformers, petz, style savy-- but they didnt seem that interesting.. didnt bother looking at the prices.

Found K&L 2 PC for 5 bucks..weee....never played the first one...have yet to crack that one open since I bought it on clearance years ago.
