Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Isn't Friday the day for new drops and Monday's are the days for existing drops to go lower? Maybe I have it in reverse.
 
It varies by store. I know Helix always reports new drops Sunday night/Monday morning.

Existing drops usually happen on Monday at most reported stores.
 
^ Thanks, just making sure I didn't have it backwards. With the reports of price drops it made me second guess my memory, but I know that people are out and about more on the weekend which is likely why they are being reported. I swear some of those drops wouldn't last the week here.

Correct. Many of the Price Scanners in the aisles allow you to type in the DPCI. Makes it easy if you can't get to or find the product.

Saw the case and the stand for the psp go but none of the systems ere on clearance I"ll check my other Target tomorrow.

Let me know if you guys come across some in a week and what price they are, I may someone get one for me
 
I just bought my PSP Go at Best Buy a week or so ago when it was on sale for 150. Plus the 3 free games (LBP, Rachet and Clank, and Socom FTB3, all of which are great). For that price it's definitly worth it. It has literally revolutionized the way I poop and play video games.
 
I went over to my local best buy before work when they had the 150 deal. I went on Saturday, the deal was for Friday and that Saturday.

I go over to the gaming side and ask the dude about the special and he tells me sorry it was only Thursday and Friday. I said ok fine dont want it anymore and left. I check later that night and see its still at 150 and look at at the ad online confirming the employee was wrong. I didn't bite though, someone up there must not want me to have one and that's fine with me now.
 
The advantage the Go has (IMO) is it's size for portability and the 16 gigs of memory; which doubles when I use a 16 gb micro. Being able to carry 32 gigs of games and other media instead of 16 with a reg. Psp is a plus, it helped during jury duty :lol:

So was he guilty or innocent or was it a hung jury.

That being said my reason for not liking the PSP go is the fact all the games are full price and you have no way of getting reasonable sales like you can UMDs

Never trust Best Buy employees. Always ask for a second and even a third opinion. It's happened twice now where some employee tells me something isn't going on or expired only to find out an hour later that they were wrong. Bonus point for one of them having a smug attitude about it :roll:

Most likely within the end of the year the Go will be hacked and you'll be able to rip your UMDs onto the system using an older PSP (1000/2000/3000). Sony also does sales every so often (I believe mostly around the Holidays), including the sale going on right now for a different PSX game each week. Some publishers also do sales every now and then.

Since the Go sells so terribly, accessories for it are also very cheap.
 
Can the Go play downloaded youtube videos (I think it is mp4)? I'm thinking about picking one up for a standby until the ipod Touch comes out with the iphone quality camera. That and I'm hoping they figure out the cfw so I can then play my current PSP library on it.
 
If I were considering over $100 on the PSPGo, I'd probably just wait for the Nintendo 3DS. With the PSP2 coming next year, the PSPGo seems like a losing proposition. Especially since as the PSP is phased out in favor of the PSP2, you won't have the advantage of a retailer who needs to clear out stock and knocks down prices to insane levels working for you when all your games come from an online source.

They'll keep the game prices high even after the console's dead and gone because they don't have to clear out inventory.
 
I went ahead and bit on the last copy of The Saboteur at $13.98. The cellophane had been nicked on the side, but the disc is intact. I hope I don't regret it.

with the exception that zero sales at $40 is far worse than 10 sells at say $20. I have no clue how much pspgo games are sold for online, but the point is regardless of clearing inventory, if things don't sell at 1 price point, typically they reduce the price point.

did they annouce how psp2 games will be sold? perhaps they will be online as well

By the way, if you're near a half price books, you may able to find it there (PC) for $7.98. They got a fairly large shipment of it to one of the stores in Northern Bay Area.
 
Been staring at the same damn copies of Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 for 34.99 for almost a month now, heres to hoping they drop tommorow. (Kinda glad they are hidden in the Shell Case though, most people walk right past it).
 
Picked up a bunch of stuff at HPB today here in OH - and yes - they had a lot of new PC games:

Clearance at my Target was very thin today, lots gone from last week. I did get lucky, though, and find Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 PS3 for $12.48.

I wonder if the pricing team/electronics staff/LP staff knows who are the frequent game clearance hunters and if they have a database of us on file ? :whistle2:| I am sure it's annoyance to see "El Stasho" swing by every other week and stash games behind pillows, but it's not a crime they can call the police about nor can they ban them from the store.

You can ban anyone from the store. LP can tell people to leave and if they come back it is trespassing.

I have seen a few games I am interested in, but they have kept the same price for a few weeks. (Borderlands PS3 $20.xx, Prototype PS3 $18.xx, Brutal Legend 360 $13.xx)

I would most likely buy if they drop, but I think they will probably hold the prices, since they will most likely sell at those prices during the crowds of Black Friday.

I know the employee's at one target started noticing me always shifting through the clearance stuff, whenever they see me they will actually tell me if anything new was put on the shelf and put on clearance.
 
Just wondering if anyone has seen that Garmin GPS on clearance and if so what price? Wondering if I should go hit the 5 or so Targets if the price is right
 
At $62.50, I'll definitely buy it despite the awful gaming format, that price would be more than worth it just for the multimedia alone.
 
RE Darkside Chronicles, Tropico 3 (360) and RB6V2 (360) came out tonight. I'm hoping RE drops to 10.xx and this is the first time I've encountered a game (RB6V2) reentering the clearance cycle. There were also a couple Wii shovelware games. I also learned for the first time recently that not all price changes are markdowns...some get marked up. The more you know (shooting star).

The Targets in Chicago are being incredibly stingy with their drops. I hope they finally drop today.

Yeah, I can confirm all the drops that haven't happened the past four weeks (!) to the $7.48 range..:360: Backyard Baseball was also $4.98. I purchased the last copy.

I am beyond pissed though b/c 2 games (MXvsATV and SceneIt) I bought for $13.98 and they are now $4.98. I've kept my receipt, not sure about the price about the Target I bought them out, but wondering what I can do? I've never PM'd or price adjusted a clearance item. If someone could drop me a PM or briefly state something, it will be much appreciated, we're talking $20 here!

Nice find. These two DLCs are disc-based, right? It sucks that the GOTY edition has all 4 DLCs on a download voucher!
