Previous threads:
Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
123-45-6789

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The website for locating clearance titles by their DPCI # is here: Find In Store

Much like the ASIN location website replace the DPCI # at the end of the URL...

(HUGE PROPS TO aj slick FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL TOOL!!!)

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell:

No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Yup, it's showing up as OoS now and I suppose somebody could have bought it, but it was just there the other day at full price so maybe they did take it out or clearance it. I've found any stock tracker to not be 100% at any store though. Might be over that way today so I'll check out of curiosity.

I decided to take some of your advice and i went and hid a game so i am going to be checking that section (don't tell but it's the women panties section) on a weekly basis to see if Halo Reach Legendary Edition will drop down to 75% or even 90% off!

I'm pretty sure that only works if there's multiple copies left because they have to manual mark down the games... if there's no games to mark down then it can't drop in price. I could be wrong though.

Great, now go home and tell your dad what a man you are.

you are correct, so he better hope there is always atleast one more copy for them to scan.

Clearance markdowns are not manual. I don't hide shit, but my target is horrible about actually tagging clearance product so it stays in the case til 75% quite often. The markdowns are done automatically and the clearance crew simply receives a printout of the items they are to tag (many of them are sold out already so they will not suspect).

As long as their inventory system still shows that they have copies when the clearance starts, it will go down with all the other copies. If it's already on clearance then it will continue to decrease as normal. The only way this won't work is if they only have one copy of a non-clearance item, you hide it, and they notice and update the inventory/report it stolen before clearance markdowns happen.

Used to work at target and this was a huge problem.

If this is the case, then Target has taken a step backwards in the clearance process.
I too worked at Target, on the Price Change Team even, and we had to manually scan every item to activate most of the prices through the LRT. There were always a few one-offs that our Team Leader would activate through her LRT. These were items that were either lost, hidden or stolen.
The printout may have been something that your Team Leader was doing, I'm guessing after they activated all the prices via their LRT.
Haha, the Hoarding thing comes up every now and then. I think the only obligation people should have is to make the most money and save the most money they can. As a matter of karma, I do typically leave one copy for the guy who searches in vain for that last copy, but hey... I don't even think that's required. This thread has instructed me well over the last year.

/randomDarthVaderparaphrasing

"Others once thought as you do. You DON'T know the POWER of the Hoarder! I MUST obey my inner greed! Join us..."

"NO! I'll never join you!"

"If you only knew the Amazon credits of hoarding. Your research never told you what happened to your unsold copies of The Shoot and The Fight."

"It told me enough! It told me you're only making a little!"

"I am rich with credit! I just bought Marvel vs Capcom 3, Dead Space 2, and Bulletstorm, all with my ill-gotten credit!"

"Noooooo..."

"Search your feelings, you KNOW it to be true!"

"Nooooooooo..."

"Join us and we will complete your training. With our combined greed, we can end this destructive clearance and bring order to the Target aisles. Come with us, it is the only way..."

/randomDarthVaderparaphrasing

All the copies of those Move titles around here were $20+ last time I checked. Kinda sad, really. People around here are so gungho about buying titles before they go hit the low percentages, there might as well not be any clearance atm. I'm sure they'll get tired of saving no money and stop buying eventually. It happened last year exactly the same here. They got hooked during Christmas, then tapered off as we moved through the year, leaving all the more for me.
LMAO...:applause:
Duplicated post

Yes hoarders DO SUCK!!! But what I don't get is how would anyone buy something at 200+% all the time for hoarders to work? Stuff clearly wasn't that limited/sold out on release day (Xbox/Wii) during Holidays or anything...

Duplicate post
What is wrong with you?

I think it's best to just start ignoring SuperJedi. Unless he gets banned we're not going to hear him shut up anytime soon.

Yeah I hear you. I don't like having to ignore people. Why should my page look weird just because they're stupid?

Whenever someone is just over the top dumb, I always wonder if they're little kids, trolling, or have some actual mental deficiency. I feel kinda bad about the last one, you know?

I understand, it's weird looking at a page and a post or 3 are hidden because I have him set to ignore.

I decided he's probably just some fat 30 year old living in his parents basement in a bathrobe with a flashlight attached as a "lightsaber" and trolling the internet.

Basically he's the long lost cousin of El Hoardo.

I did ad pricing and electronics and it was always automatic. Price change people merely did the stickers and pulled the items (badly). I've bought hundreds of dollars worth of electronics straight out of the cases untagged at 75% off over the years. Knew tons of employees who hid shit. As long as the inventory shows one of the item in stock, all of them get marked down. Even if they must be scanned... it only requires one copy to do so, so as long as there is still one on the shelf it works.
Can we get a mod to come in and clean up those posts by SuperJedi?

Just ignore him, he is not contributing anything of worth.
Done, and he won't be bothering anyone for a while.

Picked up The Shoot, The Fight and Get Fit w/ Mel B for $9.98 each at the Charlotte East, NC loacation. I think they had one more copy of the Shoot and The Fight, as well as quite a few Get Fit w/ Mel B.

I don't even have the move yet, but I will probably pick up the Move after I flip some items.

The Forest Hill Ave and Libbie stores in Richmond are completely devoid of The Shoot and The Fight. They did have several Mel B's left though.

Pick up 2 X Buzz! Quiz World Bundle at 29.99 each
207 24 0322

Saw Guitar Hero: Warrior of Rocks for Wii -79.99
However, I am not sure if it is Super Bundle or Bundle

Salisbury, MD Target today - Not good news, they converted most of the games/electronics clearance section to crappy movies/movie packs that nobody cares about. They still have a few Narutu's and Mel B's, a DJ Hero (software only) and a CoD:BO prestige for PS3 but that was it as far as I could tell for games. Also the DA: UE for 360 was gone, was going to have them price check it...oh well.

On another note, I honestly didn't find SuperJedi that offensive, oh well. I mean yes he was wordy but it's not like he was being rude or anything to people...only occasionally in defending himself. I see people on here who are way worse on a daily basis and nobody says a thing.

If you enjoy constantly being reminded that "if you are patience, you can get (insert game) CE for 75%!!!" then SuperJedi was not annoying. At some point, enough is enough.
--------

Sorry I don't have the DPCI but I saw some new drops.

Ninjatown DS - 9.98 (I think)
Hello Kitty Party DS - 9.98

I am also verifying (confusedly) the reemergence of DAO:UE for both PS3 and 360 at $34.98. These were already clearanced out in my area at the same stores.

I will list this @ 29.98

OP has been updated

Shrike, thank you and cheers....

Last night I picked up

:ps3: The Shoot $9.98
:ps3: The Fight: Lights Out $9.98
:psp: Resistance: Retribution $3.74

The Shoot & the Fight were white tagged at full price in the prison but rang up $9.98 each.

No luck trying to locate The Fight. Every store I went to had reorganized and the previous location of the Move games had patio stuff. They said they had 4+ on hand, but had no idea where they were. Blech.

Was unable to find any good clearence electronics, however, some nice shirts in the men's section, able to pick up some 75% off shirts for 6.xx

Checked 2 stores so far, saw 5+ copies of The Shoot, and 2 copies of The Fight. Grabbed both of The Fight, might go back for the others later if i dont see anything else at another store tommorow.

Dragon age ultimate finally went down in so cal, but it's still $34.9x for both the PS3 and 360.

I picked up Episodes from liberty city for $3.74 and Fallout 3: GOTY (360) for $6.24

Picked up Monopoly nintendo at $7.48
Tried to get gran turismo 5 collector's edition and went to the couple targets that had about 4-5 copies before but didn't have them anymore
I believe Naughty Bear is at 75% at $12.98. I don't believe I've ever seen video games go to 90%. It will most likely go to Goodwill or be scrapped.
It does happen, but very rarely. For example, a few weeks ago I picked up Swords (Wii) for $3.74. That was 90% off the starting price of $29.99.

uhhhh?

-----

I got fable 2 for like $3 once but that was the only time I've ever gotten beyond 75%. Even the shittiest games no one wants (Pacific Liberator) will be gone before it hits 90% because they usually get sent somewhere.

Some people say goodwill. Some say other stores. Some say they join ET in a landfill.

So basically, if it's at 75% and you want it, grab it. There's a very slim chance you'll find it after that.

Wow the magical 87.5% off....it happens but rarely....to the poster behind, the Swords you got for 3.74 was 87.5% off not 90% off....

I found a Transformers ROTF Wii a couple weeks ago for 87.5% off, also 3.74, but I think that was just something dug out of the back when inventory was done.

My magical find today was at a closing Target (it's moving). COD Black Ops Prestige Edition for 127.48 - 50% off all clearance items, so final total was 63.74.

While checking out BestBuy, I stopped in at Target to check the clearance section. One Halo Legendary Edition for $100+, some GT5 CE and SWU2 CE and DA:UE for both Xbox 360 and PS3. Too bad the DAUE were $34.

Picked up 2x The Fight and 2x The Shoot today at the Fairlawn, OH store.

There were a good 3-4 copies of the Fight left, and FYI for anyone in the area, the Shoot is in the plastic prisons marked at $39.99 but it rings up as $9.98

:wall::wall: I have been looking for ages for Buzz! Quiz world bundle, it's nowhere to be found. I saw it at a Target for msrp about a month ago, then it was gone and never seen again. Should have bought it. Maybe some will resurface on clearance racks like Bioshock 2 CEs did when they were gone for two months...a man can dream...

Psst. Kmart.

Was able spot
GT5 66.98
SWFU2 CE 55.98
MW PRESTIGE 100 and some change
Didnt realize the percentage was also marked on the tag. Im going to wait and hope they hit 75 off and then ill be a happy camper. Oh did pick up a couple fights for 9.98 each.

Oh, that's right. I also saw DAO Awakening, Shred, and DJ Hero one (all software only) for 75% off. (I think DAOA was $12.48, Shred $14.98, and DJ Hero maybe $9.98)

EDIT: these were all at the Fairlawn OH store.
Psst. Kmart.
I looked today when I went to get Killzone 3. No crap, I've checked about 10 wal-marts, 6 best buys, 7 targets, 4 gamestops, two local shops (vintage stock), and now kmart. The game simply no longer exists down here. At first I didn't really want it that bad but now I want it just because it's so frakin' hard to find.

Yesterday picked up The Shoot and today picked up The Fight. The Fight was in a glass prison (along with The Shoot) but didn't even have a price on them.

Saw
:360: Bayonetta $14.xx
:ps3: Bayonetta $7.xx

I was extremely tempted to pick Bayonetta for PS3 at that price but I already have a copy of it for the 360 so I'll let someone else pick it up. :)

Also, is MvC3 CE supposed to be on clearance soon? :)

EDIT: The reason I ask is because the way the electronics employee said "I'm GLAD that MvC3 SE is still here...."

I picked up :ps3: The Fight and The Shoot for $9.98 at the North Olmsted Target store for $9.98 each. Weird thing was the clearance aisle was only a small box of games in the :ps3: area. Now all I need is a PS Move and an extra controller.
I saw Bayonetta for $14.xx at Target in kingston, ny.
0_o I never thought I would see someone else from kingston on here. I take it thats still the 360 versions they have had there. Anything else worthwhile there?

It's been that price for a couple of weeks.
Please stop looking at MY clearance section.
