Previous threads:
Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
123-45-6789

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The website for locating clearance titles by their DPCI # is here: Find In Store

Much like the ASIN location website replace the DPCI # at the end of the URL...

(HUGE PROPS TO aj slick FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL TOOL!!!)

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell:

No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

NBA 2K11 360 - 1 copy 9.98 none left...
In an hour and a half the rest of the 27 copies sold? Well that's the last time I post the location of a clearance item. Sounds like the doing of el hoardo. wonder how many of those ended up at the bestbuy in the same plaza.

I'm wondering if he looked on the middle shelf. They were tucked right inside of there and they can't be seen unless you kneel down.
Were the projectors marked down to $45?
Sorry, I didn't catch the price on them but I don't think they were down that low yet. Is $45 the 75% off mark? I think most stuff at my store was at most 50% off.

Yeah that's how they were on sunday, this morning though they put them all on the top shelf facing forward in 2 rows(or it was 2 rows when I was there). I'll check on it tomorrow and see if any somehow got missed though.

I believe that was reported last month and most people weren't even able to find any at full price let alone the marked down price.
I had success getting a return/rebuy on the Silver DS Lite for $66 out the door. My son will be very happy for his 6th birthday in a few more months.
Nice, I've never been able to pull off a return/rebuy at target for clearance items. I was waiting about a month for the silver DS lite to drop, and have been going to the store right when they opened every monday (when this store does its clearance markdowns). Guess I got unlucky today.. went to the store when it opened but they must've not done any clearance markdowns until later, because it was $90 when they opened and $65 later in the day. All were sold out when I checked back, of course.. (they had 3 this morning).
So is it only one store that has confirmed the NBA2k11 clearance? Or is the Rochester store the second store (the first being the one a couple of weeks ago that everyone thought was a mistake?)

I don't see enough people in here talking about NBA2k11 to make it worth my while to do a Target sweep, it seems to be still very localized.

Kudos to the poster who is sending out three copies for $13 shipped though. Glad that others are getting the chance to enjoy this great game at that price.
I think it has only been the Rochester store, I am the one who reported it a couple weeks ago. But it sounds like theyre all gone now even though they had about 30 this morning.
I bought one of those brightbox DLP Projectors today for $44.XX. If I don't like it I'll return it. Meh
They had 4 of them for $44 at my store, but I passed since they don't do HD. I wouldn't have any use for it except for PS2, Original Xbox, and possibly Wii games.

Thanks for replying. I thought this might be the second store but if it's the same store that you posted about a couple of weeks ago I'll chalk it up to a mistake.

Yeah, I am using it for my Wii to watch Netflix in my bedroom, I report on how much it sucks tomorrow.
I believe that was reported last month and most people weren't even able to find any at full price let alone the marked down price.
I didn't realize someone reported it that low. They had 6 of them when it hit 90.xx, but I rolled the dice to wait for another drop...Guess I don't need a PSP yet.

One of my stores still has the projector at $127 and almost nothing else on clearance. I also saw a very odd 65% off on a light bulb, which I have seen on an endcap for a LONG time. I wonder if that is what happens to the 15->30->50% path if they really don't want to dump the stuff.

Those PSP bundles sold out in my area at $65:cry:

I was able to pick up a silver DS Lite for $65 :D
If you are in the SF Bay Area, use the Target inventory checker. The store where I bought mine had 4 left.
Can you tell me the DPCI or the location of the Target? I don't usually go to the city unless I have to, but my friend may be able to go pick one up for me.

Remember to get some blackout cloth! I wouldn't recommend a plain wall with it. White sheet... Hmmm ... That either. If you have a Jo Ann Fabrics near you, it's $5.99 per yard and 50% off that if you get their app in the iPod touch/iPhone store.

Hmmm... I may check around and see if $90 has dropped to $44, yet and get that $46 back.

I just bought the Brightboxe DLP Projector from the Target store in Everett, WA for $45 (DPCI 207-00-0339). It was 75% off. It was an open box returned item and that is why it was still available. Apparently someone bought it for $90 and returned it thinking it was not worth $90. I tested it out completely and it worked perfectly. You just have to go into the MENU option and select "Bright Mode" and it will be more functional. Many people have complained that it was not bright enough. The displayed resolution (800x600) is not great but that is expected for a $45 purchase. There are two positives about this projector. One is it uses LED and will never need replacing. The second is it uses about 18 watts of power (AC adapter outputs 12V, 1.5A).

I do not like to buy open box returned items. But in this case it worked out great for me. I don't know if I can find a NIB Brightboxe DLP Projector for $45 at this time in my area. Maybe more of these Brightboxe DLP Projectors may get returned and Target will sell them for $45.

Thanks, I think I'll take back the white sheets I bought to Ross and go next door to Jo Ann's. Looking for the app now.

Mine wasn't sealed on one end of the box so it was probably returned as well. Thanks for the brightness tip, as of right now the thing is un-useable until after dark, I'll try it after work.

Bought a $45 projector yesterday. Saw a few PS3, was hoping that they would be 30% off, but still 15%. I commented to the Target guy who happened to be right next to me that the signage "30% or more" didn't apply to the PS3. He picked it up and moved to another shelf....which also had the 30% signage. He sat there confused for a min or so, then just put it behind something on that shelf.

Anyone find any of the mario cart dsi xl bundles in the Philly-south jersey area? Was looking to get 1 for my daughter for her birthday. Can't find then anywhere. I guess they were only out for a limited time.

Thanks

I've been to several targets, and none have a decent DSI or DS Lite price. These are all in CA of course. Did see a projector, still $90 but I am undecided. picked up a wii inductive charger for 12.38 ! oh yeah ! I had been eye balling it for weeks when it was 38.38.

Are a lot of people seeing the Fight Night deal? I know it seems like only one store has put NBA 2k11 on clearance so I was curious about FN. They have both in stock at my store but both are still in the case/full price...so I'm curious if I should ask to have them scanned.

My store has had none of the PSP or DS deals, which sucks. It seems like some are nation wide though so I'll have to look closer in the cases to see if there's a silver DS lite or anything in there to have scanned.

They were a limited edition that sold out pretty much everywhere after Christmas. You can pick one up on amazon warehouse deals sometimes. Of course it will be used.

Orlando CAG here, didn't see anything at the Hunters Creek Target. They rarely have anything worthwhile. Little League Baseball? Puhleeeese

As of a few weeks ago, Newegg had new ones in stock. That's where I bought mine.

Thought I'd post since I hadn't seen them mentioned yet...Gandy Blvd. in Tampa had 2 Rock band 3 keyboards for PS3 for $55. Not much of a discount yet but if all the keyboards go on clearance (need a 360 one myself) this will be a big deal.

I ordered one on newegg a few hours ago. Fnding one on clearance would have been nice, but I probably would not have been that lucky.

Decided to go into target today to see if there were any more drops over the last two days. Scored Final Fantasy: 4 Heroes of Light for $6.24! Was tempted to pick it up for $12.48, but passed because of the backlog that I have. $6.24 was just too good of a deal to pass up...

I've never seen the keyboards go on sale yet since release, so I'm looking for a 360 one myself. Problem is, I don't think I've ever seen the 360 ones at Target, only PS3 and Wii. Can't pay $60+ for another video game music instrument that will never leave my closet 3 months after I buy it.

Could not find any silver ds lites or anything other than stuff for the ipad. managed to pick up a wii wheel for $2.10. There was also tons of tiger wood 11 for the wii for 14.95. Did not pick it up hopefully they will drop further in price.
Picked up force unleashed wii for $4.98 and Mario sluggers for $12.48
Mario Sluggers is a good deal considering the new Nintendo Select version is $19.99.

Thanks for the tip about Bright Mode. I hadn't gone through the directions because this one is a gift.

Something about your post inspired me to call Target/s, sooner than I would have, and check for 1 as a back up for myself. I call and it went from $89.@@ to $44.98(YAY!). The electronics guy said they had 1 left. Well, I get there and it was gone! Something about the way he was slopping around with his friends said he kept it for himself. I was so ENRAGED from driving across town and thinking he was lying that I blacked-out(the rage black out) I said, 'I see why people say *show up* and not call, because employees will keep things for themselves'.

So, now I'm walking to the service desk, because I left the 1 $90 projector there so I could get a price adjustment and I must have had the look of flames in my face.

Long story short, I got my price difference in around 20 seconds. 75%off projector! WOOP! I was, still, a bit pissed, but whatev.

No games at my Target this week.

Did see a :360: Nyko intercooler for $6.24, are they useful? I've had my phat 360 for over two years with no problems (knock on wood) so should I bother picking one up?

They also had a :360: Universal remote for $4.98 so I might go back and pick that up too.
Never call about clearance.
What he said, i learned from someone on here to call ask for guest services then just give the dpci number and they'll give me a price the actual item picture/name doesn't show up for them.

dont know which one but one of the intercoolers fucked your xbox if you used it. just buy a bigger hdd and install everything if you really wanna help keep the heat down.

I see. In the future, I may call stores 30+ miles away and ask them to check the DPCI for stores near me. Then go. No calling, just go!
