Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

I've been scanning it every time I see it and it still scans for $27.98 but I with all these people reporting finding it at $9.98, I'm going to head out to the store in just a minute to go try and get it.

EDIT: Just came back from Target and the clearance section was overflowing with games. Saw a ton of UFC 2010 for $4.98 and Splinter Cell: Conviction at $7.98 but unfortunately the Prince of Persia trilogy I was looking at was gone. Been watching that thing for weeks too!

Target here has a massive stack of clearance games. Most things already mentioned by others. Probably 100 items. Did not have time to dig through it all on my lunch break. Was impressive.

Are they making room for Black Friday ?

Same pile of stuff at my Target today, majority was Wii and DS shovelware. Very few PS3 choices. :360: DiRT 3 for $17 was the best deal I spotted, sorry no DPCI. I bought :wii: Monster Jam for $10, thinking about returning.

Oh, and when I first got there I walked up on a crew of 4 or 5 little kids trying to stuff clearance games down their pants. Los Pantaloncitos Bandidos?
 
Grabbed RDR Undead Nightmare for 360 last night for 4.98, and Dead Rising 2 for PS3 for 7.48.

They had some other decent stuff, NCAA 11 for 9 bucks, Lego Harry Potter 1-4 for 5 bucks and some likee, 17 dollar copies of Bulletstorm and Dead Space 2.

Not bad for a Target whose clearance section is usually full of NDS Cookbook "games" and energizer wireless charging pads.

Unfortunately I think 70% off is replacing 75% off. They did that for Halloween clearance and I read on another board stores were told to throw out the 75% off signs and put up the new 70% off signs. It's only 5% but it adds up, a game that was $59.99 original price on clearance for 70% instead of 75% means it will cost an extra $3 now.
 
Didn't pick up anything today. No Prince of Persia Trilogy, which was what I wanted the most. :(

The only thing that even peaked my interest was :wii: Epic Mickey CE, but not for $20.98. Everything else was just the same stuff that's been there for the past month and the price has not budged.
 
grabbed ghostbusters for DS 4.98 and POP trilogy PS3 for 9.99 and a DSI case for $3, so not too bad was really looking hard for GOW3 LE for 19.99 though.

I could be wrong, but I believe the 70% off is because they are not the store's original inventory. These games were sent out from a distribution center, so they are on a different schedule / %.

The games that my store had before the influx of new games hit 75% on Monday...all shovelware

I do not work for Target, but that would be my guess.
 
Saw a 5+ copies of Dragon Quest VI but it was $25 still, going to try holding out for a drop to the $15 range.

On the upside I found Pokemon Black with a $7.48 sticker. They overrode it at the register without thinking twice! Was going to pick this up for my friend anyways for Christmas.
 
At the Lake of the Ozarks Target I got the games that I was looking for.... I picked up a few. They didnt have much but I think I got the best things there

Awesome trip for under 60 Bucks !!!!!

They did have Bioshock 2 it was marked 13.98 but scanned 4.98 would of picked it up but I already have The LE plus Regular copy already

But picked up Mickey, Ghostbusters, POP and Rabbids for Wii yesterday.

I got Lucky is all I can say really lucky.....
I can't believe nobody picked it up it has been there for several weeks about a week ago I was going to pay 55.98 for it but decided to get Skyrim instead...
 
Checked both the Target's here, and the new clearance stuff was rediculous. So many damn games.

Not many that really interested me, but Dragon Quest VI did catch my eye, along with a few 3DS games (Though, Dragon Quest was 24.98, and all the 3DS games were 19.98)

Hope they survive another week

I went back this evening to get back and more and everything good was gone! Probably something like 2 dozen games between 2 stores. haha oh well....

Wow, I too found a new giant clearance wall of games when I made it into my closest Target today. I am really kicking myself for not getting there on Monday like I usually do, however, because I can only think about what else I missed! I think I'm going to have to run out of town tomorrow and hit up a few more.

Is that the same POP that was under $10 some months ago? 1 of those P.O.P.s was everywhere! Maybe it was Forgotten Sands or something.

Oh, so was that where the one at the Parma Target went? I was there yesterday for it and it was gone. I did manage to pick up Tomb Raider Trilogy though.

Don't kick yourself too much, I was there when they were putting them out at our Super Target and I'm guessing some stores probably received one copy or zero copies. I know our store didn't get the Prince of Persia but it got Tomb Raider. Others got Dragon Quest VI but our store, its still being sold for $19.99 non-clearance.

But wish they put stuff out like some stores (like the picture was posted). Ours are on endcaps and they are only putting out a few at a time.
 
Hmm...keep tomb raider trilogy and hunted or return them for gears of war 3 LE? Pretty obvious choice...but that means I have to buy a 360...would love to play it though.
 
The Fairview Park, OH store this morning still had about 4 copies left of :ps3: PoP. I picked up one up and I also got for the :ps3: Aragorn's Quest, MegaMind, Hawx 2, Force Unleashed 2, Dance on Broadway, and High Velocity Bowling. For $4.98-$7.48 each, that's not bad at all and I'll probably be using some of them for library programs with tweens and teens where I work as a librarian.

Also, I snagged the last two copies of :360: Gears of War 3 Limited that were on the shelf at the same store this morning for $19.98. The stock locator online worked like a charm and they were still there. Got one for me and one for my brother for Christmas. Nice nice nice! :cool: I will definitely be returning my $54.98 priced copy I bought to the Parma, OH Target in the next few days, so if you still need it, keep your eyes open there.
