That would be hilarious if Nintendo re-released all of the figures to look closer to the original mock-ups they showed at first. That would mean we'd all have to go through the hunt all over again. And the rares would still be the rares... LOL

To that fear monger who claimed TRU was going to start cancelling orders one the PayPal authorization expired: I just wanted to let you know that my order still stands and the pending authorization expired yesterday. Not to mention, there have been no reports of cancelled TRU orders.

People need to stop reporting rumors as fact.
 
We all just need Amazon preorders to go live so we can be friends again for 3 minutes and then go back to hating each other for having gotten or not gotten a hold of one.

Lol, I guess you were probably talking about me. Well I'm glad it was just me jumping the gun and not really canceled, though at the time a good friend of mine along with several people on reddit did actually think their Greninjas were canceled, my friend called TRU to get it sorted out. Besides I wasn't completely wrong either when I said if you used PayPal, you may be screwed. Cause it looks like Target did screw plenty of people over by canceling Jigglypuffs for using PayPal.

heh, Lucina came up on walmart.com a few seconds ago, i clicked it as soon as my page monitor told me and immediately, "This item has been sold out and removed from your cart." Amiibos suck.

I feel like Wario may end up like Mega Men or Sheik; low numbers at first then over time easier to find in stores.

Any rarity of Wave 4 has been pure speculation so far. That shit is part of the problem. People pulling rarity charts out of thin air and making some amiibos more valuable (and supposedly rare)before they even been released.
 
got a call from a gamestop rep a minute ago...she placed an order for lucina and robin, but said there was no guarantee on them coming in..got the confirmation email about the order being palced...so...yay?

Actually no, it's not speculation. Robin and Lucina are the rares and the store exclusives will be difficult to obtain as well. People that have been present for multiple pre-sales already know this.

 
If this were any other company, they would lose 90% of their customers and would go belly up in a year. Nintendo seemingly rakes its most loyal fans over the coals and we continue to line up at 4am angry and defeated every chance we get. Like an abusive spouse, they know what makes want to come back every time and they do it every time. Having said that, I'll see you all the 29th :whistle2:/

Robin and Lucina being rare is as strong a surety as Star Wars Episode 7 being a box office success.

 
Someone on reddit posted Target quantities. Looks like Jigglypuff is on par with Rosalina, Silver Mario will be quite common, no more than 4 Robin/Lucina per store with some getting 0 of them.

Amiibo's in general are dying. I have lost a great deal of interest due to being unable to get any of the figures due the pre-orders selling out in a mater of minutes and the stupid retail exclusives like Ness and Meta Knight, two of the characters I wanted more than any. I've managed to luck out on several occasions and find a few I was looking for like Mega Man and Little Mac, but the majority of characters I want all seem to be in short supply and go for ridiculous amounts of money on the after market.

In any case there's going to be a ton of Jigglypuffs, but for only for that one day.  If you're there when they open, you should get one.  The lines at Target aren't going to be like the lines at TRU because there's like three Targets for every one TRU. 

Just pick a store and get there a little early.  and don't pick one with the electronics counter in the back because Target doesn't give a shit about lines.  Kids and adults both will run to the department and get served first.  Or else lace up your running shoes.

I'm not done with them, I'll still buy the ones I want when I can find them. I am assuming you don't have a job then, if you are able to wait in lines to pre-order these things and that's great. I just don't have the time to wait in line to pre-order something that I should be able to put money down on and not have to worry about pre-orders selling out in 15 minutes. No other products work like that, most of these figures aren't even labeled as limited editions, but end up being incredibly limited. I check this thread in hopes that I may find out that I can pre-order a Ness, which I still really want, but I can't go wait outside the store to pre-order it.

What do you mean "no other products work like that?" Because anyone that follows fashion will you tell that amiibos are actually much more forgiving than certain sneakers or clothing brands like Supreme that have entire lines sell out in literal minuets.

Or if you do go to the store like Supreme on release there's a 3 hour line down the block.

Job no, college yes. Still managed to collect everything so far with a bit of luck and planning (And a figure or two above MSRP). Just waiting on that damn Jigglypuff to pop up again while im taking a shower or sleeping

I've had mixed experiences. One store escorted us all back to electronics for Rosalina, while another store ignored everyone standing outside for a MM 3DS and did nothing to prevent runners. Thankfully they were cowards and ran off when I called them out on it. Seriously though, did you think people who stood in line for hours would just turn over to your dumb ass who comes running in right at 8 AM?

Yeah thats what i loved about mine for the MMN3DS launch. 3 of us were there in the freezing cold for like an hour while everyone else showed up 15 minutes prior and complained about how many people there were.

We took a ton of pictures of ourselves inline incase someone tried to pull BS.
