Make sure to max out the most expensive path first. (like 2-hand I think for Juto, etc.)
Thanks for the tip, games pretty amazing. Got 500 Chains before Belfort.

Looking for the Cooks in Belfort now.

Hope I don't get the quest glitch. :booty:

I didn't get any glitches so I have no advice for you there. Good luck though. The final weapons are in the last dungeon. So if you get the weapons there and no achievement pop it means you missed one. I suggest savings your game, finishing off the last boss then reloading yoru save to head out and find whatever you missed.

Blazing Souls Accelate just showed up in my Gold Box and I hadn't even heard of it, but I bought it because I've liked almost every SRPG I've played. Does anyone know if it's good?

Beat Platinum today, finally. Will start Rune Factory 3 soonish, or maybe Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes (or maybe both?).
Are you hatin' on the 'burbs? Easy parking/no traffic. I hate driving and parking in the city. Mpls. has a winter parking ban. I addition to that, they never plow the damn streets.
I'm the opposite - city person all the way. Plus, I don't drive; for me, suburbs are fine only if they have good public transportation which can take me into the city :p

Bought it with a b1g1 1/2 off. Still haven't played it, but it looks like Agarest War to me.

New York?

I've lived in the rural areas, so I like less congested areas to drive in. The city's a lot more expensive, but with the money you save on not driving, it's probably worth it.

Yep, I live near NYC. Much of the Northeast has good public transportation, though in places like NJ, it can depend on where you live.

And yeah, for me and my husband, the expense of car ownership is not really worth it. We have a Zipcar membership whenever we want (or need) to drive somewhere; between that and public transit, we're pretty much set, transportation-wise.

Never heard of that Zipcar thing, kind of interesting, but I've managed to get around with public transit alone. I've taken a couple of buses that weren't bad expense wise when I went to Boston and Baltimore for conventions. But beyond that I've never had a time where I felt like I couldn't get where I needed to without having a car.

I've been wondering this as well. Let me know if it is any good when you do get to it.

It's been handy when we're going to IKEA or certain places waaay out in the Jersey suburbs where the trains only run once an hour (for example).

Holy fuck Beelzebub Complete whooped my ass in Belfort.

I didn't supply after my last boss fight that had just finished a few minutes earlier. :/

Your healers should be able to handle your healing without much in the way of items necessary. I just spammed one of the lower end abilities on him.

My healer could probably handle it if I let one attacker die, he kills my guys in 3-4 hits usually. :/

And he healed every 2-3 attacks of his. fucker. -_-

Picked up Sakura Wars (PS2, $30) and Baroque (also PS2, $10) today. The Sakura Wars I got was their last one (new, at least); since it was the store display, the outer box is somewhat beat up, but the game itself is sealed and the inserts are in good condition. I got Baroque used but it's in great shape. Clerk was helpful, and I wasn't asked about preorders or anything. Been a long time since I last bought anything from a Gamestop, and today's experience was surprisingly pleasant.

Let me know how Sakura Wars is. I have it but haven't tried.

You overpaid for Baroque. They should have paid you to take that garbage.

Same for me. That one's in my backlog. I'll get to it eventually.

Sakura Wars was good enough. I ended up getting it on the Wii because that was the only one available. I think I went through two of the endings, but I didn't feel like repeating the game to get every one. It's definitely worth the $30.

Finally finished the main story for Valkria Chronicles 2. Took me about 84 hours since it was impossible for certain awards to drop for some of my characters

Holy shit! Is that really how long it takes to beat the main storyline?
Holy shit! Is that really how long it takes to beat the main storyline?
I like taking my time playing most games. I would approximate it to be about 40 hours since I replayed a lot of missions to farm awards

I just put my 24th hour into Resonance of Fate. I decided to take a break from it now that I've realized that one of the achievements requires you to star each rank in the arena. That's 500 battles...yeah.

I can't seem to make myself care about VC 2 for some reason. Maybe I'll give it another shot before I go on to get one of the Y's games.

I've been playing Golden Sun: Dark Dawn on an off since Christmas. Had to go look up how to do some on a FAQ only to find it was something extremely easy to do and now I feel dumb...

Still wanting to pick that up. So RPGs to play after Magna carta 2.

New Vegas
Fable 3
Star Ocean The Last Hope
Final Fantasy XIII
White Knight Chronicles
Alchemist of Arland (Think I'm halfway through)
Oblivion GOTY

I think the next few months are set for my gaming needs.

You differently should (after you clear some of that backlog of course). I hear a lot about it have a steep learning curve, but I don't feel it does. It honestly got a little boring in the beginning. It felt like a slower paced FFXIII with Ravagers being replaced by Machine Guns and Commandos being replaced by Pistols and Grenades. However as more enemies with more body parts started showing up, it gets very strategic about how and where you shoot. It still feels like a MG fest though. I usually use the MG user three times in a row before letting one of the interchangeable pistol users pick the enemy off. Hopefully this problem clears up now that I have another MG.

I know you didn't ask about the game, but I told you about it anyways.

It took me 52 hours. If I had rushed, maybe 40-45. It's a long game.

That was my least favorite part of the game. It was so random. I found myself needing Certificates but at the end of the battle I would get Diplomas instead, and I don't know why. Or needing Arms II X and getting a bunch of Arms II. Maybe I should have checked out a guide.

It's all good, seems like it'll be a blast to play.

Forgot to mention Alpha Protocol as well. >.

I know people were complaining that there should be a HD remake of FFVII, but after seeing how good the VII - IX cast looks in Dissidia, I'd love some PSP remakes.

The casino in Dragon Quest IV is a joke.

It's a lot faster just to save up 25,000 for the spangled dress for Alena than trying to win at the slots or poker.

The average fight outside of Endor nets you 120 Gold, you have to fight 180 battles to save that, and it doesn't take that long.

The slots are only 1G slots. It would be alot quicker if there were 10 coin or 50 coin slots like the other games. Even if you get 777 that's still not nearly enough to get any good reward.

Poker is very hard to get a royal flush or slime royal flush, and you get screwed on double or nothing alot when you have to beat an Ace.

I didn't like the way Blue Dragon handled it's achievements. They don't start unlocking until the end game. For the first 60 hours I had something like 15/1000 achievements. Not a lot to show for my hard work.

Hoping to finish up FF XII in the next couple days. I started a game a long time ago and got to about the halfway mark then stopped. This time I started over and I am just focusing on the main story. I have too many other games to get to and I don't really enjoy the sidequests that much.

Kind of the same for Magna carta 2, I had in the 1xx's for the first 30 or so hours of it, then they slowly start unlocking.

Supposedly an easy 1,000. :p

I bought that game years ago and barely played it. Didn't like the simple graphics. I might go back to it at some point though. You can get it for the price of a cup of coffee now.

I hate how most 360 RPGs are 2 discs. Reminds me of the PS1 days. At least they could fit ToV on one disc.

Switching the disc every 20-25 hours never really bothered me. x:

I respect Blue Dragon. We need more games like it on this current gen. It feels like the last true JRPG to be made. With that said I wasn't always a fan.

I played a good chunk of it then for some reason left it to collect dust eventually selling it. Then a year ago I saw it at Gamestop for $8. On an impulse I re-bought it. I proceeded to pick up were I left off finally beating it. Well spent $8. I've been without a good JRPG for so long that Blue Dragon was like a breath of fresh air.

The biggest problem for BD were the forgettable characters. There's little development and interaction considering the games length. The characters at the beginning are exactly the same at the end. And playing as a bunch of 12 year olds doesn't appeal to me. The graphics didn't bother me the least, I actually thought they were quite nice. It was like Dragon Quest's bastard child. But the cookie cutter plot and characters was BD's biggest flaw.

Finally finished FFXII, it was fun enough to warrant the time spent. The final boss was cool but pretty easy once the proper gambits were set. Now on to either Dragon Age Origins or Fallout 3.
Really don't want to go through finishing up Magna Carta 2, getting tired of it.
Get the DLC it makes it go faster
Get the DLC it makes it go faster
Can't download anything out here. :)

Just fought inferno for the third time, forgot to buy revives after the reload, might have beat him that time.

I really liked Blue Dragon as well. I didn't mind the 12 year old characters since I was playing with my daughter. It was a great RPG to get her into the genre. Now, she's juggling Dragon Quest IX and two Pokemon games and I'm struggling to get through the second Star Ocean.

About 8 hrs into DQV, enjoying it so far. Not entirely sold on the whole monster party thing (I prefer more story related party members, but I guess they join me later/soon), otherwise it's more DQ goodness.

Also finished Tales of Legendia... great first half, but those character quests... yikes. I'm sorry, but they were just character backstory that could have been integrated into the first campaign instead of boring forced blah blah blah. Still recommend the game overall, but I'd youtube the second half.

Finally back in the Northeast! It's cold, but who cares. Also, I started Rune Factory. The changes to the formula are interesting, though I'm not too crazy about time continuing to pass while indoors (unlike the previous games) :p

This coming from someone who loved Earthbound? :whistle2:k

I totally don't mind playing as a kid (or group of kids) in any game as long as their characterization (if applicable) is decent.
