Gah, the .rar I torrented had a bunch of files, so I just extracted to the bios folder in PCSX. When I click run cd/dvd, it's all BIOS can't be found and opens the bios folder, and when I click sph or whatever it crashes.

I'd say do it. If you don't have one, it's probably the cheapest one you'll get for a very long time. Just throw a bigger HDD in there.
Played the BioShock PS3 demo. Somehow, they made it even more assy. Graphics and framerate took a hit. I haven't played the 360 version since the demo, but I've played the PC version. Textures were worse and the framerate struggled to hit 30 most of the time.

I dunno how a dev can just half-ass something and release it like it's something to do. I mean, they had a damn year, and they still couldn't work that frame rate the out? The PS3 also has the disadvantage of the analog sticks that have no resistance, so that's a double-whammy of bad portage.

Totally. Plus I kept seeing lines and shit along the right and bottom corners of the screen. It felt like a total hack job port. At least it didn't crash or anything.

What you want is a 2.5" SATA HDD, commonly referred to as a laptop HDD. Looking at newegg.com, you can get a 60 GB Wester Digital HDD for $40. A Seagate 120 GB is $60 right now, so I'd probably get something like that. 5400 RPM is fine on a PS3. IGN ran tests a long time ago between 5400 and 7200 RPM HDDs, and they were practically identical. So just go for capacity and a trusted brand, like Seagate or Western Digital.

I tried the ES PS3 demo last night to check port quality, and it's good overall. Can't wait to pick it up again later this month.
NBA2K9's demo was also good, but to me, NBA Live 09 is very close. I'm still torn between the two and not sure which one I like better yet. :/

Mine is $72 a month. THen again, it is full coverage and pretty good policy. Also MI has high insurance costs.
