HEROES - super thread...

What's Claire's father's role in the story? Is he out to eliminate all the "heroes", or is he merely trying to save his daughter?
 
He is just trying to save his daughter I believe. I think we thought for a while he was bad, when he was merely trying to keep Sylar from killing Claire.

So anyways, who do you guys think the "hero" to die is going to be?

We should all pretty much know at this point, that Sylar is going to somehow escape. Whether its by killing Eden or the Haitian, I am not sure. Though I think the hero to die is going to be the nuclear guy. It only makes sense, since Hiro came back from the future, he knows that theres and explosion and all indications are that its nuclear.

what the fuck was that. What a weird ending. This show is just like Lost. Pissing me off so much, but making me come back every time.

Seems like it but since when was Sylar impervious to bullets? He said that the gun won't hurt him...unless he kills himself? The ending was kinda strange.

He did got shot before when the FBI agents chased him down. Then he flew/jumped off. So maybe thats one of his acquired powers.
 
Wow, interesting way to take a 6 week hiatus. More questions than answers at this point.

Lets start with Eden's death, thats just plain stupid. She is the reason for Sylar escaping. But she smartly killed herself before he could gain a power that would almost be better than Claires' (I mean come on, all he'd have to do is say "Kneel before Sylar".

And with Peter, was it just me, or does anyone else think that the scar that Hiro was refering to, may be the key to keeping Peter from combusting? Also saving the cheerleader may just save his life. If they can get in a shelter or something, she may be able to withstand the blast and keep him alive. Or Claire's dad may have some sort of power after all.

I think it has to do with the overall mission. If she had been wiped, then the mission would've changed. I think the Haitian may be a helper to Mohinder's father and is trying to get them all together for something huge. I was surprised he talked when he was in Claire's room, but that did add a lot to the story. Now Claire has to act normal and cover her tracks around her dad.

Since we're not 100% sure about who Sylar has gone after, they can pretty much make up whatever they want for him if they need a particular power at a particular time.

Anyone else hope they turn Sylar into a super-badass villain, like a Dr. Doom type character?

I was shocked as well that he could talk, specially after the girl with persuassion powers says "if that Haitian could speak..." which incinuates that no one that knows him knows that he can speak.
 
I just finished watching the ending and...wow, that was pretty cool. Anybody else think of Dragonball Z when Peter was about to explode? I thought he was going Super Saiyan on everybody!

And that dinosaur? Seriously, WTF? That clue is just about as cryptic as the four-toed statue in Lost.
 
Yeah, i'm still PO'ed about the four toed statue shit. Oh, another day and I still want to fuck the shit out of Hayden :p
 
I still don't think that Peter is the one that's going to explode. He's obviously having some sort of vision, maybe he's seeing it in the place of the person who actually is going to blow up. Could be that nuclear dude who gave his wife cancer.

Another theory I've heard that revolves around Peter being the explosion, is that he's around to many hero's and he can't handle the power so he explodes.
 
Great show so far. I'm not sure why Sylar didn't just break out of there earlier though since he obviously had the ability to.

What day goes by where i dont want to. O and on this subject i watched remeber the titans the other day, she played in that and was the white coaches daughter, just looking at her look at that age and thinking of her now, just wow what 5 years can do to a woman, its fucking crazy.

I think Peter will realize that he has the ability to absorb others powers on a permanent basis (like Sylar, only less messy) and will somehow acquire the powers of the nuclear man or take them from sylar after he gains them. In any case he will probably lack the ability to control them, thus leading to the explosion (which someone will prevent).

O yea...that dinosaur thing was kinda gay. I think it was foreshadowed a couple episodes ago when Hiro said something about messing up his time travel but didn't think they will make it happen.

If you read the graphic novel on nbc.com, you see that Sylar didn't make it out.
