HEROES - super thread...

I think the scar the future Hiro mentioned to Peter may be what stops him from exploding, if he is the one who is going to explode.

I hate the fact that we have to wait until January 22 for the new episodes to start back up. I guess atleast its not as bad as Jericho until February.

Anyone know if they plan to run a marathon of the first 11 episodes any time soon? I'd like to have them all DVRed in order.
Great show so far. I'm not sure why Sylar didn't just break out of there earlier though since he obviously had the ability to.
That actually reminded me of something else someone else had said. Supposedly, it seems that the HRG, Mr. Bennet cancels out others powers.

Clues would be that he stopped Claire's power from working in 6 Months Ago, he stopped Eden's power from working, and with him around Sylar, sylar wouldn't have been able to break out.

yeah, I know the hatian guy cancels out other heroes powers but he wasn't anywhere near Sylar for a while (he had to go wipe the minds of everyone) yet Sylar didn't try to escape. Maybe I need to go read over at nbc.com or something...

backstage battles and chaging storylines

Have you seen the story on afterelton.com about the "de-gaying" of Heroes' Zach? Shameful.— C.J.
Ausiello: Yes, I've seen it, and it is indeed troubling on so many levels. For those in the dark, Claire's sexually ambivalent sidekick Zach (played by Thomas Dekker, the upcoming star of The Sarah Connor Chronicles) was supposed to come out in the "Homecoming" episode, but, according to a statement posted on afterelton.com by series creator Tim Kring, he was forced back into the closet after it became "too complicated behind the scenes to push this issue further with this particular character." Translation: Someone objected to the plot, and my sources tell me it was not NBC, but rather Dekker's camp that came down with a severe case of gay panic syndrome. In fact, rumor has it that Dekker's manager allegedly threatened to pull her client from the show unless the story was changed. Rather tellingly, that same manager promised to get back to me with a comment yesterday but never did.

about the dinosaur

uestion: I have to ask: If you could have a power like one of the Heroes, what would yours be?— Beth Roddick Ausiello: I'd want to read minds like Greg Grunberg does, that way I'd know if Masi Oka was pulling my leg when he told me last week that we "will see Hiro fighting a T-Rex" — hence the painting in the fall finale. "Don't forget," he added, "I [have a part-time job at] Industrial Light and Magic. You never know when I'll whip out a CGI dinosaur." Come tomorrow, Masi may be whipping out a Golden Globe nomination.
Why does the search function suck so bad? I typed in "HEROES" and this thread didn't come up.

Anyways I went to http://www.primatechpaper.com The cheerleaders dad's fake job site. They had a 1800 # I called but they want a access code.
I love it when the networks do fake websites like that.

weird, the whois said its registered by General Electric

I thought that the episode was slower than the others but did reveal some interesting info. Like for instance
was it just me or did it seem like it was all Niki when she broke the guards stick and not Jessica? Also why does Peter think that the invisible guy is the guy to help him control the nuclear powers?

I know I saw that, he was having a Deja Vu moment, but how does that dream tell him that he's the one that's supposed to teach him?

another new character going to be added

Here's another name to add to Heroes' rapidly expanding "list": Missy Peregrym.

Although unconfirmed by NBC, multiple sources confirm that the Stick It actress has been cast as Faith, a female temptress who, according to an earlier casting breakdown, "wields a tremendous amount of sex appeal" and is willing to "get her hands dirty" for her employer. Peregrym will first appear in Episode 18, likely airing in April. In the meantime, if you're dying to know what special power Faith will possess, check out tomorrow's Ask Ausiello for a clue wrapped inside an asterisk quiz. I know how you guys love those.

yeah i didn't get that either

I can't wait for next week since I'm sure Christopher Eccleston will get more screen time then he did in this episode. He was my first Doctor, so I'm looking forward to seeing more stuff with him in it.

Who?

So I just got a text while watching the show, and am trying to figure it out. I go to the website, but can't seem to find where I enter the information.

And its a totally new message, not the code message. This one has a username and password.

I hope they get Eccleston to say "Fantastic!" as often as possible. I burst out laughing when he said it at the beginning of the episode.
Finally, an episode where something happens!!! Woohoo!
Well thats not really fear, its just been a while since something has happened.

And next week's episode looks amazing. Lets hope that it is as action packed as it shows.

Also, how stupid can Claire be to leave the wind chime hanging outside her window, Mr. Bennet has to know what it means.

And I wonder if Claire's father is someone we've already been introduced to or if its a completely new person. And her my a pyro, wow.

Who else though this episode was meh?

The only good parts were when Claire met her mom and everything involving Mr. Invisible (sounds better than Eccleston to me, and we don't know his name yet =P).
I suppose that Hiro meeting his dad was surprising, if anything.

This episode seemed to be setting up for the next though, which looks awesome.

I got the text message too, but I am in the same predicament as Craven.

Yeah, I got it shortly into the episode and tried the site on my phone, as well as my home PC and there is nowhere to put that information in on the site whatsoever.

Edit: Its on the about us page, in the helix.

Saw it on NBC.com in the Heroes boards

Edit 2: Its in the logo, go over it to get a read icon.

You should PM each other and if they are the same logins and passwords you should share with the rest of us so we can access it. Please thank you?

The helix it mentions must be referring to the shape of a strand of DNA, but I have no idea where to look to find one.

edit: ah, thanks craven. I coulda sworn it wasn't there before.
pretty good episdoe..both heroes and 24 seemed to loose some of there viewers from the week b4
Really, damn they missed out. Both episodes were solid.

that one was pretty damn good. Next one looks like it will be too.

I so called who her father was though after seeing the preview from last week.

damn no activity tonight?...anyways, noticed on Hiros Father's limo the plate says NCC-1701 :)

another good episode tonight, the show just keeps getting better and better:D

Holy Shit!!!

What an episode, well ok just the ending. But wow on Claire's real dad.
is Nathan really that much older than Peter?

And next week looks insane
with Mohinder confiding in Sylar, though not knowing it and Parkman meeting Jessica/Niki and pointing a gun at her head. And the lines being drawn between the 2 sides
Why is Nikki/Jessica such a worthless character?

Anyway, great episode tonight. Revealing Claire's father at the last second was champ.
I really wish they'd off her or make her choose a side(good or bad) and have one of the other personality killed off.
Maybe I get my wish next week

Another good episode. It was fun seeing Takai on TV again.
I loved it at the beginning when Eccleston stole a scarf while invisible. They should of had him put it on, that would have been so funny.
So essentially,
Peter is a superior version of Sylar in that he doesn't need to kill them off to take their power
Pooky, that's a great way to look at it.
Dammit..I missed the show tonite.

Can someone spoil it for me and tell me who's the cheerleader's dad?
Nathan Petrelli

That was a really weird episode.

Kinda cruddy that her father was who it was, I figured it was the other majorly thought of person.

I definitely liked the reveal of Claire's father... But they had better not kill of Parkman next week. He's one of my favorite characters.

it doesnt seem like there is much to the two sides, i mean sylar is bad, but jessica/nikki is stupid and everyone else seems good. even claires father has a little good in him and the hatian seems good too
