Marvel Ultimate Alliance - Gen. Discussion
Only two of those are Jessica Drew. (Red Costume, and the blue one that you didn't recognize which is her Shield uniform.)
The Spider-Girl one is May Parker from the M-2 Universe, and the one in black is Julia Carpenter, who now goes by the name Arachne.
Yeah, I knew the three and figured the one I didn't recognize was a recostume for Jessica Drew.

Kind of dumb to have those as "skins" since they have different powers, but whatever.
Yea, got this at CC... someone tried to hide the last X-Men 3!

BUT I FOUND IT.
Ha, I love it when that happens. I usually put the WORST CD I can find in its place to really rub it in.

Doh, it's going to be a tough 2-3 weeks waiting for my game to come from Play-Asia. Heck even GoW may be out before I get to play this. :p
I've run into two comic book missions/discs, so far but have chose to continue with the mission I was currently on. Does that mean I cannot go back and do them later on?
When you go back to Stark Tower, go the the platform on the opposite side from where The Vision and Hank Pym are, and there'll be a Training Simulator computer. That'll let you do the comic book missions.
Ha, I love it when that happens. I usually put the WORST CD I can find in its place to really rub it in.
Some dude put it backwards and hid it under a ton of games... I FOUND IT!!! In that dudes face!

If I wasn't drunk I'd totaly play it.

Just picked up my copy from FYE, went to EB and bought NBA Live 06, College Hoops 2k6 and NHL 2k6 for $36 and then traded 2 of them over for Marvel.

I have so many games to play and a brand new HDTV to try it on....i cant wait for my classes to be over for the week!!!

Look me up on live this weekend guys :p

I got it today at CC, but they were out of X-Men. I even looked through all the games to see if someone hid them. So what the cashier did was take an ad, write the date and his name on it next to MUA, and told me to come back Friday after they get a shipment in and they'll give it to me for free. So all is not lost, I just gotta wait a couple days to play it, or sell it.

My CC was out of X3 so they gave me a raincheck and informed me I'll get a call when it comes in, but since I work at a restaurant in the mall i'll be checking back every so often on my own anyways. I know the X3 game isn't supposed to be very good but for free, hell I'll give it a go. If anyone wants to play on live message me up, gamertag in the sig.

same thing happened to me as well...they printed it out on my reciept stating that i didnt get the game and they took my info to call me when it comes in...

Thats weird, my CC said they don't give rainchecks. Oh well, as long as I get it.
Thats weird, my CC said they don't give rainchecks. Oh well, as long as I get it.
well, its technically not a raincheck but works the same way...when they get it they are supposed to call doesnt matter if its this week or next
well, its technically not a raincheck but works the same way...when they get it they are supposed to call doesnt matter if its this week or next
Odd, mine literally gave me a raincheck, they had a receipt book at customer service with carbon copies they wrote it out on.
hmm, well hopefully one way or another we all get a copy;)
Agreed. And hopefully someone gives me a message or a invite to play some MUI, because thus far everyone I've been randomly matched with has only played for like 10 minutes then left, so I need a good group to get some time in with.
Doh, it's going to be a tough 2-3 weeks waiting for my game to come from Play-Asia. Heck even GoW may be out before I get to play this. :p
That's pretty much the reason I'm passing on it. I'm already behind on stuff I have, by the time I would be ready to put some time into this the Xmas heavy-hitters would be out.
Got the game, send me friend requests if you guys are tryin to play whenever
Same here. Also, I posted this in the UBER thread but thought you guys might want to try this out if you decide on picking it up this week:

I can confirm this as well. I picked up Marvel Ultimate Alliance, X-Men 3: The Official Game, and the 1600 Marketplace Points card. Usually the best time to PM is within the last hour of the day where there would be only 2 cash registers open (sometimes one). I had both the BB ad and CC ad in hand just in case, but everything worked flawlessly. The cashier scanned MUA first, then I showed her the CC ad, and in turn she phoned a manager over for the override. She just glanced at it, read the fine print, and it came out to .01. Then I had her scan the points which rang up 19.99, but after everything was scanned and she hit ENTER it came up as $4.99 with a $15 off promo. I was going to try the GGC, but I figured I was lucky enough so I didn't push it. Besides, there was a long line of angry customers behind me since that was the only register open.

Here's a copy of my receipt to help you guys out. I'm probably just going to trade in X-Men unless anyone wants to buy it off me. I hope EB is still doing the 30% extra trade-in credit towards the reservation of a PS3; did anyone else get this phone call last week?

I also got BB to price match CC for a free X-men and threw in a 1600 points for 4.99 :whistle2:D

The game is really fun though, great time with 3 other people.

They wouldn't let my brother PM the marketplace points for 4.99 AND get the free copy of X-men at Circuit City. Best Buy wouldn't PM the free Xmen copy either. LAME.

At CC, they told him he had to pick between one or the other, so we went with X-men.

I got told at CC they don't PM Best Buy special offers like that.

This was the same CC I Pm'ed points at twice on Sunday... it all depends on the cashier, I guess.

Teams I found
Fantastic 4
Avengers: 4 of (Captain America, Thor, Spider-Woman, Ms Marvel, Iron Man)
Femme Fatale: Any 4 girls

X-Men: The Official Game of the Movie is shitty. Picked it up from FYE, after going wild at B2G1s I got 5 360 games for around $145.

Can I get a VIP code from someone? Thanks

What are the differences with the xbox 360 to the xbox version (like other characters, levels) if any?

Can I get a VIP code from someone also?

Thanks.
Does anyone know what the game considers performing a finishing move?
A + B + A

Thats what I did anyway, and I got it.
Does anyone know what the game considers performing a finishing move?
I was just going to ask the same thing. I did not play that long last night but I did get the achievement for performing 5 finishing moves. I just don't know what the game considers one. If anyone knows for sure that would help.
On another note my CC would not price match the BB $4.99 for 1600 points. They said they do not price match that sort of sale. I also had to go to two CCs because the one closest to me did not receive the game and the one I got it at did not have any copes of Xmen. Eh I guess it was worth it because I will be selling Xmen on Ebay to cut down the cost of Marvel. Oh and BB would not price match the CC ad for me.
Added the known teams you guys posted in the OP. If you guys know of more, I'll keep updating the OP with them. Thanks.
Please note that you can use 4 out of the 5 Avengers
Also, X-Men: Wolverine, Colossus, Storm, Iceman

Got it, thanks.

The bomb defusing mini-game in Captain America's Comic Book Mission is a pain in the ass. Unless I'm doing it wrong and not jamming on the specific button fast enough, I think it could've been better implemented.

So just using a combo is consider a finishing move?
So just using a combo is consider a finishing move?
It worked for me. Thats all I was doing.

BTW: Was anyone else pissed with the Daredevil comic book mission as much as I was? I mean, I know he's blind but damn, why is the level in pitch black!? As blind as he is, he can see using his senses, but I didnt even get that.

Yeah, it seems like if you use a combo for a killing blow (and it's the last hit), it counts as a finishing move. This is opposed to killing them with A,A,A or charging B or killing them mid-combo.

For New Avengers, you can also throw Spidey or Wolverine on the team. Another team I found was Raven Ultimates, which is Moon Knight, Deadpool, Colossus, and Thing. I have no clue what kinda team that is though, cause I'm like "....I don't think they have anything to tie them together."

I don't know but that Raven Team seems pretty sweet. Thanks.

I did the same thing, except they were out of points cards.. so they gave me 2 rainchecks on the cards (because of the free xmen game :D)

2 Extra characters on the X360 version, realistic graphics vs cell shaded on xbox, 5 extra levels on X360, Achievements.

PM me your email I'll get you a code.

Thanks Linkin I'll try that tonight after work!

360 version has Moon Knight and Colossus as exclusives over the Xbox. The graphics are also much more realistic on the 360 versus the Xbox version. And there's five extra comic missions on the 360. I'd say it's definitely worth the extra 20 dollars to pick the 360 version up.

And yeah, I have no clue what the Raven Ultimates is, but I love the team. If only it didn't have two tanks, cause Colossus and Thing play very similar.

EDIT: Beaten to the punch, lol.

Thanks for the info guys.

I got the Raven Ultimates team using Moon Knight, Collossus (sp?), Dead Pool and Ice Man....hmmm maybe these are teams the Raven team liked to use?

If anyone still wants codes, I cleaned out my inbox and you must send me your email address. Also clean out your spam box cause they sometimes end up there.
Thanks, updated OP.
Thank you, does anyone know what the gained abilities are for each team or you all going to make check for myself?

So my copy showed up today from Gamestop. But wait..its the Xbox version. I spent 30 minutes on the phone, only to be told "Yeah...we're having problems with the wrong version being sent out. We're mailing out the replacements overnighted."

god dammit.

Man I just tried the Captain America Comic Book Mission and was I ever getting my ass handed to me. I had a hard time keeping my health up at first, then the ending is giving me problems right now.
