I think Sabretooth gets mistaken for Wolverine when you face Gladiator on the Shiar planet.

Oh motha fucker!!! I started a new game+ with Magneto, Doom, cyclops, and Sabretooth just so they are all on the team when these things happen...I KNEW the Jean Grey/Cyclops one was a bitch because when we fought her (In murderworld, not in the castle) they started to talk but NO achievement..and she killed everyone but Doom, and afterwards (I beat her) still no achievement. Glad I used my head and realized Cyclops had to be alive for this and went back to my save lol..:(

...when is the Gladiator fight? I just started Act II and the Cyclops/Jean is first and when we get to Mephesto's Relam it'll still be in Act II..and Doom has to be in the party for the last fight..? Hmm..At least Doom is pretty good.

The Gladiator fight is on the Shiar ship. After beating him, Corsair tells you that you stopped the ship.

I am just glad I hadn't played outside of Act I when I got these characters. I was temtped to start over, but I figured I might as well just play through and get the new game plus, even if I am not too far into the game.

I have the 2 unlocked, but when I did a New Game+ I don't start with any comic discs.
So, do I have to find the all the action figures again????

Daredevil has a comic disc and so does Black Panther. If you do a new game+, you don't start off with any comic discs. You shouldn't have to find all the action figures again as long as you unlocked them on your first run through the game. Blade should come over as well.

Edit: Yup, just checked. I DON'T have their discs :( sigh, I guess I'll try and find all 5 figures again and "unlock" Blade once again ..
 
I had my new costumes glitch out. I had unlocked Doom's and Sabretooth's completely and was working through the Hulk's. I had unlocked "Original" and continued to toss leapers off the cliff. I then was kicked off Xbox Live. I thought nothing of it and signed back on. A few minutes later, I unlocked "Original" again. I then checked Sabretooth's costume and they were gone.

Oh well. Atleast I got the achievement already.
 
I dont know why, but as soon as I get to the main screen when starting the game, it unlocks the achievement for unlocking all the new guys outfits, even though I havent worked on em yet, odd but alright by me glitch
 
anyone notice in Doom's Castle when you reach Arcade in murder world he sounds like the joker? Did they get the same voice actor of the joker to do his voice?
 
I just bought this game used yesterday at EB with their B2 G 1F sale. My question is before I start this should I buy the DLC or should I play through the game first before I buy the DLC? I know I'm going to buy the DLC regardless I just want some opinions on when I should buy it.

Get the DLC first. The new guys start at level 1 regardless of what level your other guys are at. This way, you build up every one at the same time.
 
This is really exciting, but made me mad.. LOL
Played A LOT yesterday (working on 4000 kills)

I start today and started Invisible Woman's Sim Disc and the first enemy I killed was my 4000 kills.. LOL grrrrr...but, oh well! At least I got it :)

Now i'm at an even 1000 points for this game! Just gotta beat the game on hard, unlock Surfer, get 2 more new achievements (Sabretooth & Dr Doom talking ones) beat 1 level with 3 others, beat 25 levels with 3 others, unlock all costumes, get gold on all sim missions (ugh..) and win 100 arcade levels (..ugh..)

I think my easiest ones so far are the 2 talking ones and beating the damn game on hard :(

Get the DLC first so that way when you play through it your first time you can try and get some of the DLC specific achievements and level them up as you go along. Then you can play through it again on Hard Mode.

That's just a weird glitch that thank goodness is easily fixable. First, start up the game and then go and load an old save file of yours where all the costumes and characters are already unlocked (this is why it is handy to have multiple save files). Next, quit/load your current save file of the game you have in progress and they should all be unlocked again. It happened to me and freaked me out, but somebody on GameFAQs posted that that was the fix for that glitch.

No, Blade, Daredevil, and Black Panther should all come over on a new game+, but none of the sim discs for any characters except for maybe some of the first ones come over. You shouldn't have to pick up the figures again either. They should be EXP points/money bonuses. That's how it is for me at least.

Ok this is a couple of days later, but I actually had to re-collect the action figures. it was no problem really, but once I collected the 5 of each, their disc was available.

Now I'm having another problem. Everyone's costume is fine. The only thing is, I got a silver on Spider-Woman's Sim Disc, and I wanted to show my friend the Spider Girl outfit..and.. um. It was STILL locked.

Now keep in mind:
-When I got the silver on the Sim Disc, it was there and I saw the costume myself.
-After I saw that the costume was locked, I went back to the training computer and it SHOWS that I have a silver and both things were "COMPLETE"

So now I ask: Now what? My friend is playing the sim mission as I type this..so..hopefully just re-unlocking it will do the trick.
 
I am beyond pissed off right now. When I started up my 360, I had the internet plugged into my console. I only have one line going to my room, so mid game I unplugged it so I could check something on the internet on my computer. Now everything is locked. Characters, costumes, etc. And I saved it after I had unplugged the internet so I can't revert to an old save. I feel like trading this fucking game in right now.
 
Ok besides my upsetting problem with Spider Woman (hopefully someone can help me out with that)

I have 3 more sim discs to do.
Wolverine, Storm, and Spiderman.

I am having such a hard time with these 3.

This is the kind of help I'm looking for:
Wolverine- What I don't understand (and it's pissing me off) is that you can be on the lower level fighting Warstar and it just cuts to a cutscene and hes smashing one of them pillars. Then all of a sudden more of them guys come out. I got his health bout halfway..so, is there some sort of pattern I need to do? Certain attacks?

Spiderman- It's really that asshole Dum Dum Dugan that's making it SO much harder!!! I got Scorpion to about less then half, but he is just going straight out after Scorpion AND them soliders!! I try killing the soliders, but it seems when you kill them all..it goes to that cutscene where they try and drop the box on his head? Again, any advice with this would be appreciated. I just need him to last about another minute & 1/2 longer really!

Storm- I haven't even made it to Hussar yet. Seriously. WTF is Storm's problem? She is level 70, I have her lightning bolt maxed, I have her Whirwind 3 away from being maxed, and that Conduction about halfway. I have her first costume all maxed out. I need tips here. What moves should she have, what costume should she have...what gear should she have on? I am just getting so frustrated with this one..I can't even make it to Hussar and that's what's making this HELL of a lot worse!

Any advice, I'd really appreciate it all. Thanks :)
 
what does it take to unlock all the new DLC costumes and how many each has. I assume its kill X# of enemies and then kill X# more if its 3, but if its 4 then what? do they get there own missions disc???

I sort of impulse bought the pack last night and didn't realize everyone started at level 1. My team got owned in a second...guess I need to just play until they level up a lil bit.

Storm: Equip her with Asgard Armor, use original costume. Max out Blitz and Lightning strike. Blitz all the clowns, etc. to get to Hussar. Go hide by the dunk tank, and she can't hit you. Lightning her constantly. Every 25% of her health, she'll throw a ball at the dunk tanks housing Wolverine and Iceman. You need to hit the two flashing buttons at the same time to prevent that. If they fall in 3 times, they die and you fail.

Spiderman: Use web warrior and spidey senses. Keep yanking the soldiers off their feet, then beating them, and keep shooting Scorpion with web warrior, too. It won't knock him down, but will hurt. If you keep Dum Dum from getting crushed, you'll be OK.

Wolverine: It's annoying how the guy keeps moving, but just keep enraged, beat the crap out of the boss, but once in a while make your rounds of the generators and kill the soldiers who are beating on them. You should be able to use your extreme move a lot.

I feel bad now, because I just came to the thread to say how happy I am I just beat them all. Unlocked surfer, unlocked all costumes..AND I got gold on everything. Right now I am 1205/1250! I'm working on my 100 Arcade Wins now :roll:..and my black controller should arrive today..now I'll have 4 controllers and I can do those 2 annoying 4 player achievements :) and thus..1250/1250! hooray!

I started over to get the new achievements and they seem to go up levels faster. Not to mention, Doom slaughters.

Whoa, that sucks. I'm almost at the end and I waited to try out the new characters. Now I don't know if it's better top restart or finish the game without them. I sudder at the though of having to play that "Pitfall" section ever again.
 
My black controller came today, and thus, got the 2 4-player achievements..on top of a few hours of doing that DAMN 100 arcade levels.

In other words, I FINALLY got 1250/1250!! :D

Nice! I'm finishing up through my Hard play through (will probably take me some time since I'm going very slow and haven't as much time as I would like to play through it), but how long did it take you to get through the online arcade achievements and what exactly did you have to do?

Well I beat the game twice. Once when I got it, and recently on hard with the DLC. Both times I had my friend play with me (local, not online) so that's how I got the "Play 1 level with another person" and "play 25 levels with 1 other person".

The last 2 achievements I had to get was "Play 1 level with 3 others" and "Play 25 levels with 3 others".. and since today my black controller came (now I have 4 controllers), me and my friend signed in..went to Sephulcher (spelled wrong.. lol) we hit start on controller 3 and controller 4 (didn't use a profile for them, just used our names on controller 1 & 2)..and we walked out of the portal (which is right at the xtraction point)..and then walked BACK into the portal..and it counted as 1 level..and we did this like 13 more times and it came up as we did it 25 times with "3 others"..so I guess leaving and coming back counted as 1 level, but each time we went through the portal, it counted as another level being done. Yeah, it sounds a bit cheap..but the rest of the achievements took awhile to get (having a tough time with "Gold on all comics"), so getting 2 achievements (only worth 20 points combined!!) is ok, IMO :)

Really happy to be done with this game for awhile. It's a great game, but I was way too addicted to getting 1250/1250. Nice to know I can play something else now for a bit.. :)
 
grrrrr!

I never picked up the last DD figure I needed, and it was the last sim disc I needed (I have about four more to finish). I grabbed the last figure and unlocked DD, so I figured, "Cool, do a few sims and grab the Surfer."

I go back to the list, and where I should see every disc, Ultron, Black Panther, Mr Fantastic and one more are missing! WTF? BP is IN my party! I go and regrab Ultron's and then when I went to get Reed's - it wasn't even in its spot anymore!!!

So, now I will HAVE to start a new game and start the sim discs over (since BP's is not in the list anymore)...

Well, I only beat the Omega Base on my new file, so I wasn't far at all, but they still got owned pretty quick ;)

I'm thinking after beating one more level they will be up to par.
 
I'm at the level before Doom, and haven't played the training missions too much, so I was wondering if I don't play them now prior to beating Doom, if I'll miss out.

You are not missing anything... you can play through them after beating doom.

Not missing anything important, BUT, you are missing out:
1) unlocking Silver Surfer to use against Doom
2) unlocking 4th costume for most characters
3) getting a lot of extra experience and cash to use on your characters

Preordering in advance is used to measure how many copies to order the store. It's pointless to preorder in the last week before launch. You aren't guarenteed a copy on the first day, but if they get any extra copies, you get one of those.

I was finally able to score a copy of the Gold Edition at Gamecrazy. It seems that GS/EB/BB/CC didn't get any copies in.

I heard about it. I wonder if it has the same DVD that was included in the GH PS2 version. Either way, I think I'll be getting this. I got the PS2 version when it dropped to 19.99 for Black Friday but it was/is pretty fugly. I've been meaning to upgrade it.
