Thanks to Skube and Oxidative for this coupon. Important things to note-- this will make games ten dollars or under free, but it's advised to buy another item, such as a pack of gum.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

Finally found a Blue Dragon in Omaha for $14.98...unfortunately, it was the last one at the store. I've only missed the Target in south O, the new one on L and the one across the river. Nothig interesting at them any more....mostly cleared out....unless you want Avatar on the Wii....

Picked up Avatar for the 360 for 12.48, and saw Jericho PS3 for $29.98. Not a single copy of Ninja Gaiden or Blue Dragon in sight There was a ton of Tony Hawk Proving Grounds for 360 at the regular $59.99 price so I guess only the special version was clearanced? Makes no sense.

Glad I grabbed my Ninja Gaiden when it was $25 because they were long gone today. Saw a bunch of Universe at War for 12.48, some Tabula Rasa too. Also 6-8 Jericho's that were too pricey that need to come down some more.

Not really on sale, it's in the "sale section" of the games, meaning its not clearance. They put certain games here and usually they are mostly crappy.

Just got back from the Okemos, MI and got Blue Dragon for $14.xx and Universe at War for 12.xx. (Blue Dragon is in the case unpriced so I had to get a price check on that.)

I had already got Blue Dragon for $29.99 a couple weeks ago so I had my receipt for that on hand. No problems buying in electronics and returning with the old receipt.

You should have checked the UPC on the shelf label to see if it matches or at the very least, double check to see what the shelf label actually says.

I went to get a copy of Smash Bros. today and miracle of all miracles, they adjusted all the clearance prices. I picked up Spiderman FOF and Avatar Burning Earth for 360 ($12 both), NHL 2k8 ($15) and Jericho ($12) for PS3, and Transformers ($7) for the Wii. They had a couple of extra $15 Folklores. Now I just have to wait for Crackdown and Stranglehold to drop from $30 so I can have a silly pile of games to plow through.

I got DDR2 for this price a few weeks ago and made a new post. The clerk had no problem because the shelf tag says "DDR 360 BUNDLE" and does not specify. They did an override and I got my game. They do now have a piece of paper over the price. I don't know why they just don't cut that price off the shelf mod. It's very easy for anyone to just pull out the piece of paper and the price is back.
