Thanks to Skube and Oxidative for this coupon. Important things to note-- this will make games ten dollars or under free, but it's advised to buy another item, such as a pack of gum.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

Hmm, I asked at one of my local Targets about Folklore, the guy said, without even scanning it, 'it's 41... 98'. I think he was either dyslexic or an idiot. Perhaps both? I didn't want to pursue it further though...

How do you scan games? All the targets I know have all their games behind glass, seems kinda weird to get an employee to pull it out for scanning (and I think most employees at my local Targets are too lazy to do that for me).

NEVER CALL THE STORE, since you may alert the employees to a possible drop and they may hoard them for themselves or just quote you some price out of the blue just to get you off the phone.

If at all possible, GO TO THE STORE, that cannot be stressed enough.

It may be a couple weeks or even several weeks between drops for a specific game.

Psyclone HDMI cable also on 30% clearance...it will be a good price when it hits 75%. Also saw a lot of the micro controllers on clearance for gamecube and Xbox. Good deal if anybody needs controllers for Smash Bros..

The way I see it, if a store employee is game savvy enough to know something can be hoarded and flipped for profit...and they are into that sort of thing...they probably already have a decent idea of what is going on in their store. I mean, think about it, if you worked in Target's electronic department, wouldn't you already know what's worth hoarding? Not to say that you would hoard and flip...just that if you were into that sort of thing and worked there, you'd already be ahead of the game.

But I will agree in the end that calling is probably a big waste of time. As said, they will simply quote you extremely generic prices or just make something up, in order to get rid of you...things like, "360 games are $60." Most employees don't know and don't care.

Ah, my bad then. I'd never seen 41.98 before， and that Target's selection is abysmal, so I assumed they never changed stickers either. For what it's worth, I told my friend and he said he'd never seen 41.98 before, so maybe it's a lack of deal-hunting experience (I'm fairly new to this).

I picked up a pair of PS2 Psyclone components yesterday for 13.98 (which probably would work on a PS3). I know they had some other stuff on a cart but I didn't take much note of the prices/brands - what did stick out were 360 memory cards that weren't all that cheap and generic Gamecube controllers that were 2.61. They had a couple of RF Adapters too.
