Thanks to Skube and Oxidative for this coupon. Important things to note-- this will make games ten dollars or under free, but it's advised to buy another item, such as a pack of gum.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

I hope you mean Scranton, Ohio and NOT Pennsylvania cause that's ALL I need is another local CAG(specially a newbie) perusing what I once thought were my sole hunting grounds for deals.

Oh and you missed Jericho for PS3 at the Target in Dickson City, they just lowered the friggin price to $12.48, after being locked @ $29.98 for a month or so(it was still $30 last week when I went there) they said and as usual, all the copies are LONG GONE NOW.

Welcome to CAG though and if you want some advice on which stores to hit, PM me sometime, since I also go to mom and pop shops all around here among other shops, including the TWO pawn shops(one in Wilkes Barre, one in Scranton).

Yeah, Target clearance used to be a lot more lucrative at my stores. Now we're either flat out missing games that go on clearance, or they get wiped out before the big drops. I'm still shocked I managed to get Blue Dragon.

Yeah, I called a few Target with similar experience. Some checked them visually in the glass cases. Other simply checked them in their mind.

Typically it's 75% off the price right before it hit clearance. I don't know what Blue Dragon and Juiced 2 cost before they hit clearance, though.

Looks like both were 59.99 so 14.98 would probably be the lowest they go before they fall out of the system.

but something that might help is knowing their pricing... if the price ends in a '4' (ie. $12.94), then that's as low as it's going to go. i think if it ends in a '7', that means clearance, but it could drop further. hope that helps.

Hopefully, this means that the last gen games I saw last week and that only dropped to $9.98 in the last couple of days will drop to $4.98 or so today, which is the lowest I suppose they'll go(since they were more or less $20 each to start out with).

I guess there's another Target run either Tuesday or Wednesday in my future, to see IF they did drop.

I picked up Spider-Man: Friend or Foe for $12.48 for the 360. I also spotted several copies of Crackdown with the clearance price of $41.98. Uh, I'll wait on that one until it's $20.

I think the games have to be scanned in order to drop in the system, so most of the time it doesn't do any good to hide the last one.

You guys finding the Blue Dragons for $14 should pick them up for CAGs. Several in the ATL area want them badly. We only saw one or two get that low (most at $29).

In regards to the $25.00 coupon. I bought only $17.00 worth the toys but when I handed her the coupon after she totaled everything up, she just scanned it and I got the $5.00 off! So it does work, I think it just matters if the cashier is paying attention or not?

You should buy them now. Waiting for games that are decent to get to a lower price in that will likely get them taken out of the system, or reset back to regular price.

Not universal at all, they clearance based on selling points. One store might sell a certain game better, so they won't mark it down as fast and vice versa. If one game has been lousy, they will clearance it out fast.

Strange this is that the Blue Dragon copy I stashed had a $29.98 tag on it, but scanned at $14.98. I found it behind a bunch of PS2 games. Ironic that I stashed a stashed game. If they do have to scan clearance games for them to go lower, I stumbled upon an employee stashed game. If they don't have to scan them, I'll pick it up at my leisure. I'll pick it up regardless though. It's amazing how I'd risk not getting it at all to save a maximum of another $10. Really, I'll pick it up this weekend.

They don't have to scan the game, they just have to initiate the markdown.

I think Stuntman is one of my best finds at Target in my area...no Blue Dragon or Folklore at mine...

NGS did not drop today so it is still 29.xx.(I had him scan it since he was marking down the other clearance). Hit 2 other targets: none have folklore, one had 2 copies of jerico for 24.98. Another store said they just sent back NGS because it was on clearance too long!

I just called the same Target and it's been a wk past now. I gave them the DCPI # and they say it's still 29.98. Is there a difference in scanning the acutal game vs checking on the system manually? I guess not a price drops happens on mondays?
