Thanks to Skube and Oxidative for this coupon. Important things to note-- this will make games ten dollars or under free, but it's advised to buy another item, such as a pack of gum.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

I found one that still had Viva Pinata Party Animals for $8 or so, but I got lucky. They had a couple in the back room that had been on clearence previously. Possibly going to donate them or something. All the other Targets in my area have been sold out of them for weeks.

So I went to my local Target today and scored big time on these Xbox 360 stuff...

2 copies of Cars for 0.00 total
1 copy of Def Jam Icon for 0.00 total
3 Blue Battery Packs for around 8.XX total
1 Play & Charge Kit (Xbox 360) for 9.99

Some middle aged lady cashier up front didn't know any better and scanned all 7 copies of the $10 off coupon. She spent a few minutes trying to figure out why some items did not automatically convert with the coupon but in the end she manually price adjusted. Thanks CAG...I saved about $70.

I never went to this location back when this game was clearanced at other locations last fall, but it was one of the games that hit 50% off and never dropped again. Out of curiosity, I scanned the barcode for it, Godfather 360, and Call of Juarez 360 a couple weeks back at another location and they STILL came up 50, 50 and 65% off. I don't why it was a new drop at 17th St, but if it wasn't clearanced at your store last fall it may be now.

Its likely that the store yanked them off the shelf for salvage/Goodwill.

I could not find anything good at my Target. The clearance games section was a BIG mess....lots of crap piled on top of it. The only PS3 games they had were NCAA MM 08 (already got 1 copy), Virtua Tennis 3 ($10) and NBA 07. The only 360 games were The Bigs ($21), Cars and possibly a few others. The PSP section was weak also...they did have Castlevania for $15, but no need for that for me.

I went back to my local store last night (which I am now certain has a hoarder) and Motorstorm was priced at $29.98. I thought that someone forgot to replace the sticker so I scanned it and sure enough it was $29.98. along with the other copies left. I'm glad I got it at $14.98 when I had the chance. Also, the GC's were all gone along with the 10+ copies of Lair. Logan's Shadow was still $20.98 (waiting for that to drop) and a few DS games were added. ANyone else find their clearance games going up in price?

Where did you look exactly? I thought one of my Targets didn't have any clearance games either until I noticed a messy end cap about 2 or 3 aisles down from the games. I hit the jack pot that day Try looking in and around the electronics section and if you don't find anything, try looking at end caps facing the wall of the store or behind the game section. Trust me, you should find something.

Yea, my local stores have been moving the clearance sections around alot lately. Sometimes they dump them on the endcaps in toys, I have also seen them on a shelf in the DVD section which made it impossible to see unless you walked right by them.
