This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

The coupon's gone so dumb/greedy/immoral posters here don't try to modify it to use it past its expiration date. Just a guess, but maybe the mods took it down so you idiots wouldn't use it to rip off Target and then come here and brag about it?

Anything that could get the site in trouble is bad. There's a reason why nobody posted the ads when Circuit City decided to go after speedy and Cheapy for the early leaks; I highly doubt that a coupon would lead to legal action or anything like kind of trouble, but since it's happened in the past, the mods and Cheapy might as well do what they can to protect the site.

Well... I would say the coupon was abused the second it was scanned from a catalog and mass distrbuted on the internet. Also, I'm hoping they make a game based off of "Celebrity Circus" for the Wii. I would play as Chris Knight!

I keep waiting for American Idol to drop. I can't find it for 24.98 anywhere! That and Twilight Princess was completely MIA-- luckily a CAG picked one up for me so I'm pretty happy about that.

They would have to be dumb immoral fools, if they we're too stupid to not keep a copy on their own hd's. I think where this site is concerned it should only target clear violators like coupon editors, just about everything else is Gray IMHO.

I believe both of those games have long been gone at the MD/VA Targets. I haven't seen one around in quite some time.
 
Btw, the Steelyard Commons Target has about 100 copies of COD2 for the 360 for $4.96. No lie. Nice price, but most of us already have the game.

But, they DID tell me the game was discontinued when I had it checked yesterday. They also were getting a return on one of the Atari Flashback 2's, which the clerk said was $10.

Saw a ton of the 3-packs at my store. Were 14.98 on Tuesday. I paid 20 (10 after coupon) on Sunday.

Other than that, not much around.
 
Got Twilight Princess (GC) for $12.48. They marked a bunch of clearance stuff down, too - looked to be about half of what it was. They had a TON of Zeldas at that price...and a few Heavenly Swords (PS3) for $29.99

The target I went to has both games but for the full price. I wish I could get them to sell them to me for the clearance price but I don't think that'll work.

Heres a coupon I got from a recept printout and scanned it. Coupon got bent on the way home, but I've already erased all the bend marks that scanned and made a multi-print for 1 sheet of regular paper for easy printing for CAGS.

I've used it sucessfully now a few times, always scans with electronics purchases of 50 or more, so its all good.


Also, how much $$$$$ did u guys use in 10 off 360 coupons. I used probably around $300 in those coupons, plus stacked many 5 off toys and a few of these electronic coupons with em. curious to see how other did.
 
I was lucky today and I got to stop in a Target that I don't usually go to, well I found a copy of Parappa the Rapper for PSP for 7.48! What a great price for this game! There was only one copy left.

The target near me had this game but it was stuck at 14.98 and the copies they had have probably mysteriously disappeared by now because things disappear fast at my local target.
 
I went to Target today. Didn't get any clearance stuff, mostly because the Target I was at kinda sucked. They did have Pokemon XD Gamecube skin preorder things that were down from $5 to $1.25 but I wasn't about to Pokemon my Gamecube. I did see Madden 08 XB, The Club PS3, NBA Ballers PS3, and... that's about it.

But something of note. I bought that Troubleshoot Your Car PC program in the $9.99 section and I asked the cashier girl to check to see if the $5- toy coupon would work. She told me that they weren't allowed to use web coupons anymore. But I kinda pushed her saying that it was from the Target website so it shouldn't not be allowed. So she did it, it worked, and I was happy. So yeah, is this stopage of web coupons becoming wide spread? I remember someone else mentioned it but I figured it was probably just a manager at that store. Are they getting crackdown from corporate?

Yeah I know. But honestly, you can't blame me for trying, right? Games and Non-games should be under different categories in the system. It's not my fault if they both ring up as company software, which in turn rings up as a toy.

You know Shrike, maybe you should have been awake at the very beginning of the coupon abuse and not the very end. It's your choice when you want to start "Enforcing" the CAG TOS, but in my books you're a hypocrite. The coupon still works, and it's still the same coupon that was scanned against the wishes of Target. If you choose to take issue with my POV, I really don't care, but if you're going to preach ethics to me you had better take the very high road on all issues in doubt and not pick and choose when it suits you. I suggest you start by removing all scans of coupons that clearly state "Should not be copied", which should account for about 99% of them. Maybe in the future only links to any website offering the coupon to avoid any issues of copyright, fraud, missuse, etc.

I stashed a couple at mine and still waiting for them to drop to $7
 
Went to the one near me again. There used to be about 10 gamecubes for $50 and probably 50+ Twilight Princess for $24 last week. I was waiting for them to drop in price. All gone when I went today. Possibly they went on sale or they just shipped them away. Oh well. Also almost all the clearance games were gone. There were just a handful left.

I picked up BLEACH Wii today for $12.98. It was marked $34.99 and pretty well hidden. Also saw The Club PS3 $29.98 and Heavenly Sword for $41.98 as well as some moto Cross game for PS3. Also got Viva Pinata 360 for $9.98

Harvey Birdman PSP scanned at $14.98. Scanner read "Rainbow Harvey"? Scanned Rainbow Islands: Revo PSP and it read $14.99. Noticed that the DCPI was the same for both games. :whistle2:k

Hey Pittsburgh folks--the McKnight Targets and the one next to Sams Club are SO hit or miss. I've gotten good scores at all three of them at one time or another (and been hugely disappointed by each of them as well). I can't suggest one over the others.

But hey, if you drive right you can hit all three in less than an hour, easy.

It was at the Woburn, MA store. They literally had like 20 of them. It's not far from my house...

This is what happens to me when I wait for stuff to drop so now I just buy it when I see it before it goes away. We had a pile of about 50+ Pokemon Mystery Dungeon's and they were just gone like that, they were for the GBA. There is no way each one of those games sold.

I also scored the Prima Pokedex Guide Version 2 for 13.98 a couple days ago, I thought that was a great deal because its normally a 20$ guide, and I cannot find it for cheaper despite my best attempts, its a huge 450+ page guide, and its very good (and even if I did find it online, its usually 5-6$ to ship a used, beat up copy in addition to the asking price). These guides usually disappear from the store quickly so I figured I better get it while its still there. This is an item that I really wanted, and was shocked to see it on sale.
 
Success! The Utica, MI (by Lakeside Mall) Target store had ~15 copies of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team for the GBA for $7.48 today. I've been waiting for this to drop for a month, so it made my day to see that it finally had. :D

I seem to be the only one who's found the game on clearance, but my store had a LOT of copies - probably anywhere from 30-50 at first, enough to fill close to half of an endcap.

They also had a Cheetah Girls GBA game for ~$5, but I figure I can live without that one. ;)

saw the club and heavenly sword for $41.98 each. also saw some parappa for psp for $14.98, too much so i didn't buy them. i did manage to grab zelda twilight princess for the 'cube for $24.98, it was the only one so i just bought it anyways.
