This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

I like it how these turds try to photoshop these things and then throw a hissie fit when the system comes back coupon expired. It's not really worth the trouble to go through all that just to save a few bucks.

It's $30 on their website; the store shouldn't have a problem honoring that price, but Best Buy will have no problem with a PM if they don't do it.

finally found a NGC for 24.95. Sticker still had 49.99 but of course rang up and bam. The cashier even said he was watching for this to go down made me laugh :applause:. Now I have a backup system since I've been raking up the GC titles at Targets. :bouncy: Now all I need is to find some Official Nintendo Component Cables. :drool:

The GC i got at Target $20 (used $5 coup) is the newer model and doesnt accept Component cables. I checked all 8 of them too. You might want to check yours. I believe model # DOL-001 has a port and DOL-101 doesnt.
 
thanks for the tip. But I was referring to my old 1st generation one which has the component output as the one I bought from target is just going to be my backup.:D
 
I found a copy of Virtua Tennis 3 for the PS3 for $4.98 the other day. I really went looking for the 360 version but none of the stores in my area have it. If anyone wants to trade for the PS3 version or has an extra 360 copy that they would like to get rid of/pick up for me, please PM me.

Target on south OBT (Orlando) had Heavenly Sword for 41.xx (one copy), Guitar Hero (27.xx), Guitar Hero 2 (27.xx) .. few other games on the endcap, but the names I don't recall. Nothing great outside of those, though.

There is also a link to it on the first page of this thread and as of a couple days ago, the actual image like in your post was there but I guess that image link broke. The actual link is still there in the OP and it does work takes you to the coupon image in the above thread.

Picked up Thrillville: Off the Rails for PC @ $3.74...I'll buy just about anything that cheap....

The Xbox version was still priced at 13.98.

FFXII for DS has dropped to 19.99 since last week....I don't even have a DS yet, but I have one stashed behind a printer in case I decide to pick one up this summer.....

Great idea, I missed that deal. I opted for the free Viva Pinata using the coupon combination. Will trade that later today to GS as part of the Trade 2 get +10$

Just picked up Timeshift for $9.98($10 still scanning) today. Picked up the Abomination toy too so I could use my $5 off too. I'll post what else I picked up in the $10 off thread in the Graveyard.

Saw (1) F.E.A.R. for PS3 today for $3.74 and (9) Heavenly Sword for $29.xx (.88?). This was Cockeysville, MD Target. Passed on both.

I saw Picross DS $13.48. Final Fantasy XII Revenant Wings was still marked $27.x8. I also scanned the upc barcode for Tetris DS it rang up $7.48 of course there were no copies in stock.:(

The copies of Super Mario Advance 4 I saw last week were gone. I think there might be a hoarder I used to always find great deals at this Target lately none of the great games make it to the $9.98 or $7.48 price range the games disappear fast.

This coupon has come in handy many times for anything; the only thing you risk is getting an anal cashier who won't run it. Otherwise, USE IT PEEPS! :D
 
I picked up the American Idol Encore at the Steelyard Commons Target in Cleveland. It was listed as $39.98 but rang up as $24.98. I used the $5 off coupon, too. There's still one copy left in the case. Good deal.

I already own it and it seemed like it was "Bring Your Kids to Target Day". Lines were massive. Plus, Goozex isn't likely to trade it soon. High on the supply, low on the demand.

I found it somewhat sad too, considering Day 1 Studios (company that handled the console ports) is less than 5 miles from this Target.

I feel like a total fool asking this, but what's the lowest reported price for Wii Dancing With The Stars? It's been $29.98 at my store for a month now and I want it to drop.
 
I don't understand why the $10 coupon was removed- it is still fully functional. I took in 5 unedited copies of the coupon today and used all five on the same purchase- got Timeshift, the Cars/Open Season/Fuzion Frenzy 2 package, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Call of Duty 2 PH, and Viva Pinata PH all for ~$39 (took a total of $50 off the transaction). The guy just kept scanning them. He initially didn't even look at the coupons and scanned the first one, then when the total started dropping like a rock, he questioned the coupon. After I explained the fact that the coupon does not state any limitations other than 1 coupon/game, he gladly and unhesitatingly scanned the rest of the coupons and gave me my total. I walked out of there one happy dude. So, I might even try this again today or even tomorrow on some more cheap deals. I could've gotten guides and stuff too, but I wasn't going to pay $5/guide for games that I don't even own. Some notables there were LoT:TP Wii edition sealed ($4.98) and God of War (PS2). Long live the coupon!

I agree, I tried to get the previous thread re-established and it fell on deaf ears, and I noticed a thread that djkunai created disappeared. What gives Mod's, is there a take down notice we're not aware of, or is this just plain stubborness.

The coupon works just fine.

In the old thread people started posting about how they were photoshopping/cutting off the expiration date which is considered fraud and not permitted on the site. That is my guess as to why it was removed.

I guess that old saying is true "a few bad apples, spoils the whole damn bunch..."

Well I'm not doing that, I used it 3 times during lunch, but did get some resistance in my attempt to use the 5 + 10 on a clearance game, I ended up only using the 10$, but on reflection I plan on returning the game because at 20$ it's still too expensive.

I did also find PSP Papa Rapa at the LB store for 7$ (6 or 7 still there)

Photoshopping a coupon is FRAUD and that is one thing. That is black and white. I didn't see anyone do that (or maybe they did, but the mods shut it down quickly. Sounds like SlickDeals sorta stuff to me)

Maybe my scissor slice removing the expiry date is in the gray area.

Me cutting off the expiration date of a otherwise valid unaltered image of a coupon is another thing. I did this at my home and used the coupon myself and it worked. I didn't upload any images or anything and I didn't use any photo editing software to move anything around or change anything at all ?

I just printed the coupon and was selective in my scissor cutting is all. There is definitely a difference doing that than someone editing/photshopping a coupon and changing the printed terms etc.. I didn't cut and paste or use tape or rescan anything at all ?? But I care no longer to argue the point. I will say no more on the issue. Some people will judge. Some will not, and some mods will exercise their power to do what they want to and/or what they think is right in their opinion.

Its still a free country and thank god I am still entitled to my opinion.

Why punish all the CAGS for the actions of just one ?

If the unaltered coupon image scans and still works, why take it away from everyone who would like to still try using it, even if its YMMV ?!?

I don't get it. Deleting photoshopped images immediately, I do get that. But the original scan ? :roll:

Bottom line is the coupon is EXPIRED. Case closed. If you get it to work, whether its cutting out the date, photoshopping, getting a dumb Target employee, etc it doesnt matter. The deal is done and its not supposed to be used anymore. If you want to take the chance and use it go ahead but its just not allowed here anymore. Thanks. :applause:

Don't get a nose bleed up there on your high horse. Maybe that selective memory of yours remembers that the actual coupon was scanned from a news paper flier and was NEVER supposed to have been copied in the first place, let alone used over and over again. The fact that the date on the coupon has expired does not mean the coupon has lost it's usefullness. Mosts things are YMMV on cag, and it's up to each individual to draw his or her moral line in the sand.

I personally would never alter the coupon itself, but the concept of fraud is easily applied to even the act of using a coupon that you did not receive in the target flyer.

So chill out, the message that is USEFUL to whomever is that the coupon may still work, I'm hoping that it will at least survive until Monday for the next round of clearance reductions.
 
I'm a little perplexed this thread was edited by Shrike. All I was doing was displaying an unedited coupon that happened to be expired. If the mods wanted it removed, they could have just PMed me...
Unless they wanted it off THAT quick, I guess.
