This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

It depends on the store. Target clearances vary depending on the store, so some will have it for $41.98, $29.98, $14.98, and I have one by me that still had it for $59.99 as of last week.

HS was $30 still by me....MX vs ATV was $30 also for PS3. Not much else...One copy of THPG for $20 I believe.

Also had Soldier of Fortune for $30....

Damn you, all mine has is NBA Ballers for $29.98, and a buttload of NCAA Football 08 Guides.
 
I picked up a copy of Tony Hawks Proving Ground for $9.98, not entirely sure why, maybe I'll flip it for trade credit.

Didn't see anything else that hasn't been mentioned, SOF had dropped to $29.98 as well, but thats too much for me.

Almost zilch in today's trip to the Ocala Target on 200. Ballers for $29.98 for PS3 as well as NBA2K8 for $19.99 which is a STEAL. Best b-ball game ever.
 
oh darn you guys with $15 heavenly sword. i just checked mine (been so pumped for this to drop) and its still $30. oh well my target is kinda up to date so hopefully it'll drop soon.

BTW i asked a lady when they do clearance drops and she said "Daily" so i was just wondering if you guys find that videogames drop weekly or if you have seen a drop throughout the week?
 
Checked today and nothing but alot of Bleach ds $21, Soldier of fortune for $30 and a bunch of american idol xbox for around $24.
 
Stopped by one of my Targets today to get some things and wandered over to the clearance. They had

:ps3:
MX vs ATV Untamed: $21.98
NBA Ballers Homecourt: $21.98

:360:
THPG: $9.98
Soldier of Fortune: $14.98


Then I went and checked my stash that I have been waiting for drops and Timeshift was at $9.98 finally.

I didnt feel like lugging out AI:Encore to scan it so ill bring in my barcodes tomorrow and if its 14.98 its coming home with me for $5. Hope the TIV at BBV hold for that for one more week!

So I picked up a free copy of THPG and a free copy of Timeshift. Not too bad for on a whim. Ill check tomorrow for the other drops. I have two heavenly swords that would need checking if they are starting to get down to $14.98.

Just curious if you specified electronics clearance drops? Others on here have said Targets typically have "rolling" clearance drops throughout the week (Electronics on Mondays, another department on Tuesdays, toys on Wednesdays, etc.)

At the Target closest to me, electronics prices change on Mondays and never the rest of the week. That's the only one I go to more than once a week, though. The farther away ones I usually go to on Tuesdays or Wednesdays based on the assumption that drops happen at the beginning of the week.
 
I checked mine here in buffalo, Ny Timeshift is still 27.98 Heavenly word is still ringing up at 29.98 SOF is 41.98 and so is The Mx Atv game for 29.98

Found PSP Parappa the Rapper today for 7.48, finally. Thought I was going to miss it.

BTW i asked a lady when they do clearance drops and she said "Daily" so i was just wondering if you guys find that videogames drop weekly or if you have seen a drop throughout the week?

I find videogames drop weekly, but the actual day might be Monday or Tuesday. Some weeks there are not effective drops; others some things but not others drop; and stores do not at all agree on when the initial drop is, how big it is, and what subsequent drops are. It isn't even consistent in a single store. One Target took an eternity to drop Orange Box, yet they were the first to reach a low price on DS Bleach.

Same here. All gone. Then again, there were many things going against waiting it out for $14.

1. Its one of the more popular titles
2. It's summer
3.theres not many game choices for the PS3.

CC had it for 9.99 the other week. I bought it for 12 during last years CompUSA's closeout. It's an ok, but hard game. Puzzles can be a bitch. I am stuck at this one security puzzles where I have to move these lines in order to get a certain tone, but don't know what to do next.

I don't think Target has clearanced Reloaded yet. I think it was CCC Remixed that was clearanced out.


At the stores near me Street Fighter Alpha and Capcom Classic Collection Reloaded are always in stock in the "cheap" games isle for $14.99.
 
What the hell is wrong with my Target. They had NO clearance games, and Heavenly Sword was listed at $59 (though I did the print off UPC thing in OP and it read $30)

There was the PS3 Eye cam there, which rang up $40, also the PS3 guitar, which rang up full retail. My Target sucks.

Then consider yourself lucky. You've found a mispriced Heavenly Sword and have no danger of it selling out before you can snag a copy for $30.

They moved the damn clearance section from a cardboard box in the back of the maternity section to a big clear rack at the endcap of an aisle right by the video games section. Now its almost completely cleaned out. >_

The cheap games isle at mine was wiped out, all of the PSP,PS2. and some DS. They weren't even in the clearance area. I was hoping to score killzone(PSP)
 
Picked up Heavenly Sword and MX vs ATV both were $14.98 each, and I once again used the $5 off coupon bringing my total down to $25 before tax. I am looking over people's trade lists currently. I've got one maybe two copies of Heavenly Sword available. I've already unloaded the two games I picked up today.
 
I got that magician game for the DS for $7.48, my son is starting to get into magic and his b-day is coming up. I also found American Idol for the 360 for $12.48 (mic included) but that game is for my wife, I'm not some strange looking bald guy that likes to play gay games....

bought a couple of AI today for 15.00 a pop. They were marked 25.00 but I had a magic cuopon that lowered it to 15.00. trade in value is insane not as good as F4 but ill take 35 from bb a 4 from gs any day

Yeah they have been 25 here for a bit... I had heard they have started dropping to $15...which would make it $5---> $40
 
Generic Mad Catz Cube Mini-controller - $3.74 (down from $19.99). Comes in a variety of colors, including white, black, purple, orange, and red.
 
MTX(PS3) still $29.98 as well as Soldier of Fortune (360). New drops are Jackass, Spyro and another platform for PS2 all at $9.98
 
My Target had nothing exciting when I went on Monday - I did find a Duracell AA/AAA charger with indicator that has a port for charging USB devices for only $5 each. Not bad since the batteries alone sold for $12.
 
FYI, the word I'm hearing from a friend of mine who works at Target is that due to misuse of the $5.00 off a $25 toy purchase Internet coupon it will no longer be accepted starting today, 2 July. This information was evidently sent to ALL Target stores. The reported misuse was due to Photoshopping and or other manipulations of the coupon as well as it was being shared on chat groups and via email. Not sure if anyone else here is a Target employee who can confirm this news. I know of one person already who was shot down trying to use it yesterday.

It's a shame because the coupon did have a good run but it would have been nice if it lasted until October when it would have officially ended.

I can see it now. Corporate runs some sort of report to see how many of the coupons were used nationwide then shits a brick when they see how much they lost on the deal.

I remember Target having a similar problem with an internet Gerber baby food coupon. I used a handful of them to stock up (as anyone with kids can tell you that stuff ain't cheap!). When I went back the next day they had signs up all over the place limiting the use to a couple per customer. People were abusing the fuck out of that coupon using hundreds of them at a time and buying carts full of baby food.

bah. maybe i should've printed out the barcode scans..

found both picross and new york times crosswords for 11.98. still not a bad deal i suppose.
