This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

I picked up Timeshift for the 360, and is a surprisingly a good game for the price. I also stashed a couple of SP: Logan's Shadow for PSP that were $19.98.

What state are you in? I'm beginning to think NJ is too close to NY to get the good price drops.
 
I went to local target (Mckee, CA) and a few days ago they had Heavenly Sword, either it price dropped and someone cleared it out, or I came at a bad time and they took it down to price change but haven't put it back up. (Do they do that?)
 
Called one target they didn't have the club or blacksite. 2nd target i went too didn't have it. 3rd target only had one copy of the club which rang up 29.xx.. I left it knowing i wont see it again. P.S- everyone should buy heavenly sword now! i bought it when it came out for $40 and its worth every penny there is no excuse to miss this great game.
 
I spotted Super Mario Advance 4 $20.98, Final Fantasy XII Revenant Wings $27.98. I scanned the upc barcode for Wario Ware Smooth Moves $24.98 but I could not find a single copy.
 
Picked up Tony Hawk's Proving Ground (PS3) for $6.48.
I know it's not a great game but I'll give it a spin for that cheap of a price.

I would physically go there and check, especially with clearance titles. I've called in the past about clearance titles and i'm told they're out of stock, only to find out when i get there that there are copies in the clearance aisles. Plus, you might alert an employee about the deal who'll pick it up for themselves and friends.

Many of the clearance titles can be found on Target's website and any relevant info like the DCPI#'s can as well. Although, I searched for the PS3 Media Board Pro and it didn't come up online. Just an FYI for those looking for numbers for the clearance games.
 
Picked up the last Gamecube at my local Target a few hours ago. THere has been 2 in the case for quite some time. They got marked down to $69.xx about a month ago. Found one on the electronics clearance endcap today: $24.98. Sweet!

What is the difference between DCPI and UPC numbers as far as scanning barcodes goes?

031719269433 is the UPC number for Blacksite 51.
 
DCPI is an inventory # or something along those lines that only Target uses on their items. Think of it like the SKU#'s that Best Buy uses on items THEY sell.

So I went into the Target I don't normally go to today checking for some clearance titles and I see that they had COD2 and Viva Pinata for 13.98 which is odd because they've always just sat along the long display of games at regular price. I go to check out the display and am shocked to see that they took all of the 360 games (like 8 different titles) and clearanced them out to put up Wii games. Pissed me off because I was there the day they put up the new price tags but didn't stick around to see what they were doing with the product. I coulda had first dibs on Tomb Raider Anniversary and Need for Speed Carbon. Oh well, did find Hot Shots Golf on PSP for $5 so it wasn't a complete loss.

Either would work fine, though the UPC would be better to have, since you could check prices yourself at the self scanners. Some Target stores may have a number pad on the side of the self scanners, so you can enter in the DCPI on your own without having to find someone to use the hand scanners.

The only problem with using the UPCs and self scanning, is you wouldn't know how many they may have in stock, in the event that the games/items aren't on the floor.

But, you could always just take the DCPI's to the customer service desk and have them look up the quantities and price for you, which is what I've done before.
 
The Target I went to today had Jeanne D'Arc, Dracula X Chronicles & PaRappa The Rapper for $7.48 each (!). I almost bought Jeanne & Dracula X even though I don't have a PSP

The Bigs: $4.98 - awesome game for 5 bucks!

I finally lucked out and found a Timeshift for 19.98. Used both coupons on it... that store also had American Idol for 24.98, but they sold it by the time I got there tonight. I was kinda pissed about that since every other store has it for 34.98-- sucks. It's a 50 dollar title, so I can cross my fingers that one survives until the 75% drop and get it for 12.48.
Also, a side note, I've never seen any store so horrible and systematically raped out of code cards before. Good grief, I bet every Target had 60-100 before selling out.

EDIT: I bought the Media Board for PS3 for 14.98. Is it worth it if it's not the pro (is the normal Media Board not having Bluetooth the only difference?)

This is the price in Fenton, MO as well. There are 3-4 copies of the game still in the PS3 case.
 
I went back yesterday to get American Idol and it was already gone...oh well. I just hope Heavenly Sword drops again quickly. My store had a good 8-10 copies left at $30. For $15 it is a definite buy for me.
 
Some DCPI info:

The DCPIs on the site differ from the ones in-store.

Video Game DCPIs start with 207 in-store NOT 241. For example, all :360: games have the same 1st 5 numbers: 207-22 then the last four differ for each game.

I don't know if the website DCPIs are just in-store analogues.
 
I know it's not really clearance, but I scored an AS-IS Wii Play with remote for $35, cashier wouldn't accept the $5 toy coupon. Went back to Customer Service and they did it for me, so that brought it down to $30.

I LOVE as-is items. About once a month they do that to DVDs and you can score them for super cheap. In fact yesterday I got "Jimi Hendrix: Live at Woodstock" 2 DVD set for $6.26 when it retails for $24.99 (Great Father's Day gift for my old man). They always make them weird prices so they ring up at a normal price with tax.
 
Had to return my NGS 30, Jerhico 25, and Blue Dragon 15 yesterday, was going to rebuy but she entered the prices based on the tags on the game and wouldn't let me use the coupons. All 4 or 5 gameboy micros were gone from the case as well as every PS3 clearance game.

The Media Board Pro also has a built in mouse pad to it, like the kind on laptops that you can use your fingers on.

I also think the normal Media Board is wired, isn't it? I know I've seen the other keyboard marked for PS3 at my local Target, but I definitely want it wireless so I can kick back in my room and type away.

Oh and as for the DCPI's manthing, I think each console has their own starting set of numbers. I know someone mentioned the DCPI thing in the prior Target thread, though I don't recall what the other starting DCPI's were for other systems.

Is the media board built by Logitech by chance? Also, is it in the clearance video game section or will it be in the keyboard/computer ailse because I haven't seen one of these in my stores before.

Mediaboard has a track pad and is wireless. What it lacks is bluetooth (it requires a USB dongle), media buttons (FF, Rev, and menu), and visual cues for what keys are X, (circle), (triangle), (square).
The Mediaboard Pro has all the above.

Yes, it's by Logitech. The only time I've seen one it was with the rest of the video game clearance.

Also there is one black GC that is still hanging around the $49.xx mark and I'm hopinh no one snags it cause I'm waiting for the $24.xx point. Does anyone have the DCPI for the black GC's so I can call and ask? Thanks!
 
out of nowhere my target got 30+ copies of timeshift in the endcap for 27.98... hopefully it'll drop monday (last day for the infamous coupon)
 
found 4 logitech keyboards for the ps3 @ 14.98, i picked up 2 (im keeping one) the other one is up for grabs to a fellow cag otherwise i'll be returning it.

Found timeshift for $28 and used $5 and $10 coupons to get it for $13. They also had a blue battery pack mixed in with the regular white ones. No clearance sticker, but scanned at $6. So I picked it up.


Also got the ESA 3-pack marked at $21 and used a $10 coupon at another target.
 
I got Timeshift (360) for $9.98 (after 360 coupon) and a Platinum Gamecube for $24.98, then used the $5 off $25 to get both for approximately $31 after tax.
