This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

I noticed some too. A 160gb at 59.xx or 69.xx I believe, thats the only one I remember

Don't remember the price range except that they started at 15% off which generally means they max out at 50% off. Funny thing is I got a 120 GB passport on clearance months ago and they started at 30% off and made it to 75% off eventually.

Be sure to check the weekly ads before pulling the trigger on one. I believe you can get a 320 GB for about the price of that clearance drive these days.

if anything rings up as 0.00 on the self scan {not the errors, but the 0.00} and you have any desire to purchase it take it up to a real register. they might give you a little bit of a hassle {last time it took me about 15 minutes}, but i walked out with Call of Duty 2 for 4.58.

they had to call a floor manager, who called the electronics guy, who called back with no real answer, and finally they called some super manager lady who had to come out of the offices with this monster electronic price gun/computer in her hand... she checked on that thing and found a universal clearance price and i was on my way.

it's always worth a try...

Is that the Rumbelpad 2? I picked one up earlier in the week and have to say it's worth the $20. I mean it retails for $45-40. If stock is low, buy now or you'll regret it.

I went back to Target and got God Of War II. It was on sale this week in their for $17, but I found one with the $14 clearance tag on it and got them to honor it.

And on a side note, did you know that both PS2 God Of War games have dual-sided inserts?

A worker must have put the clearance sticker on the wrong GOW, because I picked up the last GOW 1 for $14. I traded it along time ago but been wanting to play it again.

When I was there last time I only saw two copies and both with that sticker on it. They had a lot more copies this time. It could very well have been an error as the "II" isn't the most obvious thing on the cover. I jumped on it just in case it was an error.

Sorry I updated it. I was at another Target and it was only for the PS3. Most Targets have 1 case for PS3 games so I would imagine that the turnover on PS3 games will be rather high this holiday season.

That is strange, maybe your store did it as an "AS IS" and the price has to be manually adjusted. Did you scan it last time or just look at the sticker? It's possible they didn't take it down in the first place.

One of the targets that I go to still has stuff ringing up as clearance but they took off all the stickers and clearance shelf tags!

At my store, we have 10+ copies of Scene It 360 on clearance for $41.98. I never knew they hoarded so much... the bottom of the clearance endcap is filled with it.

I snagged Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom for $20 at the Cary, NC store. Only one I saw on the endcap. I rushed there after work after I checked prices and DPCIs on a PDA.
