This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

Picked up Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword for $8.74 and FFCC:RoF $9.98 this morning. Frontlines, LO, Scene It! were their same prices as were Blastworks and Bully . Prince Caspian dropped to $9.xx iirc. Joysticks and PC controllers did not drop. Nothing else of note in Brandermill or CTC Targets.

Yeah someone presses a button and all the games drop to the prices they should be. The team just have to scan them so they can print new stickers for them. Just depends when that button gets pressed, usually first thing in the morning.

I found a couple games cheaper than listed in this thread today.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Rings of Fate, DS, Quakertown, Pa, $9.98

Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword, DS, Quakertown, Pa, $8.74

Yep, it seems like all of the DS games dropped at the Target I checked out. Picked up Ninja Gaiden for $8.74. Saw Narnia DS fell to $7.48 as well.

Always scan if you know it's lower somewhere else, because sometimes they're not updating the sticker.

Anybody have the DCPI # for The Club for PS3, I have four receipts that have PS3 games on them with no titles and I don't know which to use to return my PS3 Club. Thanks.

Damnit, couldn't find any Vikings at my store, nor Kane and Lynch. Last week there were only 1 copy of each at $20, but gone now. I'd like to get Viking at $10, but oh well. I did see a Bloodshot on clearance, but I already have it (good game). Otherwise, the usual junk.

It's only for the 360. I checked the DPCI # on the scanner and the PS3 version came up $89.99.

Picked up Dark Sector PS3 for $9.98 but might return it. I couldn't remember if it was part of the GS 50% off sale. Passed on Tiger Woods 08 PSP for $4.98.

Which reminds me, how do Clearanced tags work? Every Monday are they suppose to change pricing on all clearanced items or only certain ones? How long do items usually stay at 30% before moving to 50% before moving to 75%?

All of the above varies from store to store. When I spoke with the guy in electronics today he told me that "they" (I assume management?) comes through on Monday or Tuesday and does the markdowns by department.

But what I mean is, if an item doesn't sell one week it's marked down, the next week is the item deducted again or does the price stay the same for awhile?
