This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

this happened to me as well today. the game would not come up in the system then they said the game should be 49.99.

14.98. The original price was 59.99, and the third drop would be 75% off. I'm waiting for 14.99 myself, as well.
 
XII must have just had another drop. I know I've seen a s***ton of them but for $10-$14. I almost want to pick one up but aside from VII I don't have any interest in playing a :ps2: FF.

I actually already had a SvR08 360 version that I got mistagged from the BOGO Blockbuster sale, but since I also have SvR07 for 360, I figured I'd give the Wii version a go and will trade in the 360 SvR08.

Got Bully (360) for $15 @ the SuperTarget on Capital Blvd in Raleigh, NC today (last copy). Went to the ghetto/non-Super Target on Capital and saw at least 5 20gb hardrives for $25, lots'o Scene It for $30 (i think, not gonna pay much attention til they are less than $10), Lost Oddessy (sp?) for $?? ($42 i think), NBA Live 08 for $??, and MX vs ATV Unleashed for $?? ($20 maybe) all for 360. Sorry I was in rush and couldn't get better prices.

I saw GRID For $30 today. I passed it up, hoping it'll drop more. When do they ususally do drops on these? Just sporadically? It had already dropped once from the $41.xx price.

I assume the red numbers indicate the SKU? Is there a way to check this with Price Checking machines spread throughout the store?
 
Those who bought the arcade unit can snag a 20 giger hd for 25 bucks...damn!

Us who already have a 20 giger are praying that the 120 gigs will hit clearance next.

Not sure abou the sku but the first post in this thread tells you how to find a games upc and print it out to scan. I do this all the time, it saves the hassle of asking an employee to get the game out of the case for a price check, and them arguing that the price is marked correctly already.
 
Found today:

Metroid 3 = $12.50
20 gb harddrive = $25 (but still $70 at my local store)

Off topic but I also saw some Black and Decker 2 gallon air compressor's for $50 which is 50% off. And the Harmony 520 remote was $85 which is 15% off. A great remote if you can get it for $50 eventually.

When I went to a Target today, they had updated to the new $149.99 price which is standard. If Target did clearance it, which I doubt they will do, I think it would be 104.98 (30% off) first. I think they aren't going to clearance it because they aren't discontinuing the 120GB, just the 20GB.
 
I picked up Condemned 2 at Target today for 9.98, it was the last copy.

They also had scene it for $29.99. I'm going to wait for it to hit $20 or $15 before I bite. I'm more interested in Buzz for PS3 this year, but at that price...it'd be hard not to bite on it.

They also had the Warhawk bundle with the head set for $29.99

I might bite on Scene It once it makes that final drop to 75%, since that's pretty much the end of the line (unless it was something like Viva Pinata: Party Animals which actually hit 85% at Cary a few months back). I was checking teh PDA today and saw that the ghetto store was sitting on like 73 of those as of this morning. More than double the amount that mine has. :whee:

Anyways... not much in interesting things at the two Garner stores. I did pick up Blast Works for $10 from White Oak on Friday. I was disappointed to find out that the one copy of Metroid Prime 3 my store had had disappeared since it came up $12.48 in the PDA. :( Oh well...

The red numbers are DPCI #'s, which are basically Target's own SKU's. You can enter these numbers into the price checkers that have keypads on the side of them. However, many have noted that their Targets do not have this feature.

You can also provide these numbers to Customer Service and they can locate the item at any Targets in the surrounding area. Cashier in the electronics dept. can do this as well.

yeah, i was happy to see at least one store in the area has butt loads of scene it so i know i'll be able to get it cheap. :) i'll try and check the greatland target in brier creek this week, but they usually have jack anyway.
 
Before everyone starts jumping down my throat about this being in the Target clearance thread, I felt as though this one should be seen on its own first. If someone wishes to put this in that thread, be my guest.

Anywho, went to Target in Watchung, NJ today and just happen to check the price on COD4 for the PC and although the tag read $49.99, it was coming up with no price. I took it to the register in electronics and the guy there check the price from the register and then again from the price checker thingy. Again, no price. Meanwhile the price changing lady was in the vacinity marking down other items and games. She ask me did I really want this game, and I said "HELLS YEAH!". So she took straight down to 75% off for me! So I ended up paying $12.46 for it.

Now I checked another Target out and found the same thing. The price was not to be found. I did not attempt to get another price adjustment. But I am willing to bet that COD4 is next on the list.

You were lied to, the item goes out of system when it doesn't sell at 75% off. You might still be able to return it but you would get what you paid for it back and not a price adjustment.
 
The fact that you got it for 12.46 is an extreme YMMV.

The same situation happened at my target where it wasn't ringing up at all, but the guys there knew it was taking a price drop to $29.99, so it was price adjusted to that.
 
This is similar to the $4.96 CoD4 thread that's floating around somewhere. Same deal. Unfortunately, my Target has put barcode stickers over the box that ring up with the correct price.
