This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy. If you try be sure to bring a smile and a lollipop.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Picked up the last GTA:SE at the Target in Redondo Beach, CA.
Also picked up DBZ:BL for $14.98. UT3 held at $19.98.

Only new drop I noticed was WonderWorld Amusement Park at $27.98.

Thanks to whoever left the last GTA:SE. There were 4 copies last week. Picked up my copy 20 minutes after opening.

Bourne Conspiracy is pretty good for $15, plus you can trade it in if you don't like it or when you are done for $33 at BBV & probably for over $15 at GS.

I wouldn't bother showing up too bright and early. Some stores do markdowns overnight, but in my experience most of them do them throughout the day on Monday, so hitting the store Monday evening or Tuesday morning is better. You might try to find out from your store Electronics staff when they do their markdowns, because some stores stray from the Monday "standard".

I also really recommend using the tools in the OP to print UPCs to scan if there is a big mess of games to go through (which can be a pain and they might be mis-labeled) or if you have hidden something for later.

I have no idea what was up with my Target but they went NUTS this week with the clearance markdowns, after WEEKS of little or no movement on ANYTHING. (it's like someone must have been of vacation and was catching up)

The HD is a Simpletech USB 2.0 160gb HD, DCPI 080 00 0784, $32.48 (was $129.99). I picked one of those up. Don't necessarily NEED it but it's an awesome price and has a 3 year warranty. Thing is absolutely coated in dust so who knows how long it sat there. (hrm, just took a closer look at it and noticed it fell out of its plastic holder [it's got molded plastic slots on the top and bottom of the package and the drive isn't in the bottom one] and the bottom is loose... not good... I'm thinking I should try to go back tonight on my way home and exchange it, just in case this one's rattled around too much.. :/)

They had 120GB drives for $27.48 as well.

The single copy of Grid (X360) that has been $41.98 for the last month, and then disappeared last week, was back and dropped straight to $14.98 (Pricegrabber rebate as well!) Would've preferred the PS3 version but considering how badly I suck at the demo "cheap" is the operative word. I know it's the same copy as the shrinkwrap is kind of wonky. (I should've opened it in the store to make sure the disc was still there! But it's fine)

Also, they had 2 copies of Eye of Judgement that finally dropped to $17.48 (they must have had more in the back as last week the 2 copies they had went to 1 copy Monday afternoon). Got those for the cams-- don't care about the game. I might return one or put it up for sale, not sure yet.

I noticed Blast Works Wii went to $4.48. Almost picked it up to trade (already have it) but had already spent too much with the above.

And yes, all 35 copies of Unreal Tournament III for the PS3 firmly remain at $19.98.

Awesome Target clearance day! And to think I nearly didn't go this week because of how horrible they've been lately.

I went to Target during lunch. They had 5 copies of Lost Odyssey (360) priced at $29.xx on Sunday evening and today they were ALL GONE! I scanned my handy barcode sheet and the price had finally dropped to $14.98. Either employee snagged them all or some hoarder came in this morning. They were behind the glass so there was no way for me to hide a copy for myself.

I got 1 more Target to check on the way home. They had moved the LO to the end cap ($29.xx) and I hid 2 copies in 2 different places. I sure hope 1 of them hasn't been found and that the store has dropped the price.

Neither one had GRID (360) and both have DBZ (360) for the normal full retail price.

Yea my local store had a ton of new stuff clearanced today, unfortunately very little of it was in the video game section. Did see 2 Eye of Judgements for $17. Also scored a 160gb external drive for $17 and a 320gb for $24. That should give me some room to backup some stuff at home. I wonder if these two drives would work in the PS3 if I cracked them open...

Also saw NBA 2K8 (360) for $4.98, but they wouldn't honor the price. They said it was an incorrect sticker. It rang up at $14.98 when scanned.

Assuming the drive is defective (which sounds very likely) there's no reason to think the PS3 couldn't use it... although maybe verify the drive is formatted as FAT32 as I don't remember if the PS3 can use NTFS drives... (or you may need to reformat it through the PS3 although it should still be usable on a computer)

I saw a bunch of those along with the simpsons guitar picks and normal guitar straps, at the rate Target continues to clear out guitar stuff I have no idea why they bother carrying it.

Anyway, I picked up Lost Odyssey for $14.98. Burst Limit is inching ever closer to the sweet spot. I did notice No More Heroes had dropped to $20.98. Is this new or just a case of my Target being slow?

also so No More Heroes today for 20.98 and bunch of 4.98 DS games like Right Brain Left Brain, Tranformers and Bee Movie.

Almost all the computer clearance stuff dropped to 75% off today...mouses, webcams, laptop bags, Logitech gamepads and joysticks, speakers, portable hard drives.

I can confirm that PS3 Madden CE dropped to $22...hoping to adjust tomorrow.
Also, I saw a Mario wall cling clearanced.
Canon EOS XT digital SLR at $250 down from $500...when I asked to buy it she said they only had the display model left so no dice for me.

I normally just do a return and rebuy instead of asking for price adjustment. It's similar but the CSR will not do price adjustment per policy, but they can't prevent you from buying a product.

I usually just return the game, then walk around for 5 minutes, then rebuy by telling them that you change your mind or your brother wants it now.

what about doing a return and buying that item back? That always seems like two different things. in the end, i probably just going to keep gta iv se at the 44 buck price. i really wish i could get 20 dollars back. oh well, im cheap.

Buy the $22 copy and return it to the Target that you bought it for $44 at.

Somebody hit up the Wilsonville, OR store, 'cause the multiple copies of Lost Odyssey and Grid were gone. I managed to pick up one Lost Odyssey that was left over, as well as Bourne Conspiracy and Guitar Hero: Dual Pack , all for $14.98. There were still some Burst Limits at $29.98, but the pair of ones were gone. Besides that, the usual left over stuff was there, like Wall-E and Smackdown vs. Raw . They had Frontlines out there, but at the high price of $41.98. First time I used the DCPI numbers. Those were very convenient.

last odyssey is still $29.98 @ my local target. however, grid is $14.98 and so is scene it. I got gta 4 se for $44.98 and was the cheapest I could find it. another store had it for $62.98 so i'm content with the cheaper one. by the way, trade in grid @ gamestop and they'll give you $20 credit plus any bonus if you use that towards a pre-order game and you can stack on your edge card 10% too.

Oh funny story about when I bought my GTA IV SE today; the guy that grabbed the game from the case first looked at me and said, "Wait you want this big box?" I said yes and he literally shrugged and took it out. We went over to the counter and he set it down, looked at me again, and then said, "So wait, you want this entire thing, right? You could just get the regular game without all of the extra stuff." I laughed a little bit and said that I thought all the extras were "cool." What he didn't know was that I thought the cheap price was cool, not the extras. He said, "Alright..." and rang it up. I thought he stroked out when he saw the price and said, "I didn't know it was this much! That dropped really fast!" I just smiled, pulled my debit card from the machine before he could knock me out and run off with my game, and then grabbed the receipt. The best thing is that I didn't have to sign the receipt because...get this...the total came to less than $25 lol.
