This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy. If you try be sure to bring a smile and a lollipop.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The 2 stores I've seen it at had it at 41, not 29 yet.

Any other news on 360 Hard Drive prices dropping?

Damn it! Both my Targets sold the only 120 GB Xbox 360 drives they had. Each store had 1 a piece. I really wanted to nab one. I checked with a barcode and 1 store had it listed at $179.99 and the other had it for $125.98. I guess I had wishful thinking that I could nab one (or both, I need 2).

No new updates in price at mine since last week. Hoping that tomorrow brings some big drops since they missed a week.

Seriously. My Target has about 16 of them for $70 - I can't imagine they will waste all of that space much longer. I'm hoping for a drop tomorrow.

At the 3 stores I visited today in the Raleigh area, 2 of the stores still have it at $126 while the 3rd has it for $180. I guess a drop is imminent though.

It's a terrible game - unless you can trade/resell it, you'd be paying $7.48 for a lot of boredom and frustration.

I'll check later today at my store to see if there are any drops, especially on the Wii stuff. It's been at the same price ($14.98) for over a month now.

I've always had bad luck at the White Marsh Target. I did get House of the Dead 2&3 there about 2 weeks ago for $14.98. I've always had better luck at the Towson and Cockeysville Targets but lately they've had nothing as well.

It was about time that Beijing dropped over there. I'm willing to snag it at an under $20 tag. Anyone who's looking to snag Civilization at a cheap price will probably have a good chance of doing so. Valpo had at least six or seven copies behind the glass, and I'm sure Merrillville has a bunch of copies as well. Hopefully your local stores have a bunch of them, too.

Also, some interesting little tidbits: The Wii section was almost empty. LOTS of empty spaces there. I wouldn't think that so many Wii games would be sold within a week, perhaps I got there too early to see what the deal was. Another note, the PSP cabinet was COMPLETELY emptied out as well. I thought it was just a relocation deal, but there just wouldn't be enough room with the current layout they have.

My Target un-clearanced the last copy left of Unreal Tournament 3 (PS3) to $39.99... amazing after about 6-8 weeks at $19.98.

They finally dropped the Xbox 360 120gb HD to $125.... they only had one left so I am kind of doubting it'll survive to the next drop.. keeping my fingers crossed, though.

I did pick up a copy of Devil May Cry 4 PC that materialized (hadn't seen it anywhere in the store) at $9.98... BTW, there is a $5 Pricegrabber rebate available for this. (and yes, Pricegrabber does pay...)

Is it just me, or does it seem like Target is trying to play a game of Russian Roulette with its clearance items lately? It's like they are betting that a lot of people will buy clearance games at only the $41 and $29 price points, when before they used to drop EVERY week on the dot. I don't know but something just feels off for this kind of stuff....

Mine did too.

MLB 08 dropped to 15.00 for me... but my 2 and 4 gb memory sticks are still 27.94 and 55.xx respectively

No other price drops on clearance.

Wii Section is mostly empty as well. Something must be in the works, if most of us are seeing this.
