This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy. If you try be sure to bring a smile and a lollipop.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

I do have to say the last level (and specifically, one enemy type) is frustrating as hell. I tried it so many damn times, but unsuccessfully, so I never finished the last level. Otherwise, a very solid game.
 
i saw a copy of Ninja Gaiden :360: today. price scanned: "No Item -yada yada"

asked an associate at electronics to find a price for it. he looks over some titles on his counter that have been ringin' $40 or so.... he just said $40 on the gaiden.

i saw a whole bunch of patapons on the clearance endcap today for $13.98 at my target. it was weird cuz i haven't seen them there before. a whole bunch of stuff just got put out that i don't think we had before.

I spotted no apparent price drops at the Strongsville, OH store. All games like Ninja Gaiden II, Gears of War Refresh, TMNT, Spider-Man 3, Devil May Cry 4, and the like were all still their $19.98-$29.98 prices. Amazingly Lego Indy is more expensive here than at the Parma store. It's still $34.98 while the Parma store has it for $24.98. Still waiting for something in the $15 range for me to get any of these titles.
 
I got the PSP battery for ~8 and the seperate batterycharger for about ~15 yesterday. Pretty good deal there. Also bought FaceBreakers for ~13, still not sure if that was worth it.

All games in the KC area that I want (uncharted, etc.) still holding at $30 or $42, it's beginning to make me cranky.
 
The PS3 controller is ok, it's a usb dongle, no sixaxis and no rumble though. I took it back because I got the 5$ controller from Amazon on BF, it has rumble and sixaxis.
 
Went to Target on Fairmont in Pasadena TX, they had 1 Civilization 360 left for $30, 1 Summer Olympics 08 360 for $30, and 1 Lego Indiana Jones 360 left for $35...

They also had a few PS3 games Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 was $28 but the only PS3 title I can remember.

Many copies (at least 4) of Age of Conan for pc at $20.

I managed to find a copy of Uncharted at my Target for $29.99. Not bad. Greatest Hits pricing, I guess, but who knows when it'll actually be in the red label and offered at that price. They just had it in the regular glass case (I never look there!), not the clearance section, not even in a slot, just down at the bottom. Couldn't even see the price. Is that the clearance price is was supposed to be, $29.99? I thought I heard someone say lower, but sadly that's as low as it went at my Target. I kept the receipt so I can get them to refund some money if I ever see it there for lower (but since it's always hidden in the case anyway...).

No CivRev, sadly. Would have loved to grab that for $15.

I also grabbed Age of Conan for $10. It has 30 days free play with it, so that's not bad. $10 to play AoC for 30 days.

Picked up Battlefield:Bad Company for $12.48. I had to return and rebuy since it was the last copy in my area (found it at $24.98).

I dont know if other people have had the problems, but I purchased a logitech third party from a sale earlier this year and one of the patches caused LBP to no longer let me use the controller (even though i could still use it with the psn menus).... I believe they may have patched it to where it must have sixaxis (not sure if the target one does, but something to consider)

Nope, no balloon, just the red clearance sticker on it. Two of them, in fact. One for $41 and the present one for $29. I dunno, I guess I'm satisfied with it.

Good luck getting Civ, and if they have two copies, for God's sake, buy me one! I wonder if it will even drop to $20 soon? I'd like to get the 360 version for the achievements (bet they're fun), but my Target didn't give me even a single choice, sadly. Seems odd they'd even be clearancing it, as sales figures have been high for the game I thought, but hey, who knows. Amazon still wants $36.99 (maybe temporary, down from $39.99) for the PS3 or 360 versions. I might bite for $29.99, but that's harder when I know some people's Targets were unloading them at $15! Goodness.

Extreme YMMV. It really depends on the person at customer service. If management gets involved, you're most likely screwed. You can also try to return the game and rebuy it when they put it on the floor again.

Finally found a few copies of Pure at the third Target I visited (Tempe Marketplace, near 101 & 202). And naturally, it was marked (and scanned at) $29.98.

I hate Phoenix area Targets.
 
I picked up Elite Beat Agents and Wipeout for $7.48 and DMC4 (360) for $14.98 at the Garner, NC (old store) location. They were just dropped since they were still marked at 50% before I left work on Wednesday.
 
Ditto MC. Target on Baseline and McClintock didn't even have it. Now I'm kicking myself for letting that $20 Pure deal go unnoticed until it was too late.

They had one more copy on the endcap when I checked while I was on a break... and it has the mini guide included while the one I got didn't.

Also, there was only like 2-3 more Elite Beat Agents and zero Wipeouts.

...One more thing: There was 1 copy of MoH: Airborne. I almost bought it but ended up putting it back.

I went to 5 in Phoenix/Scottsdale this week, the one at 7th Ave/Bell Rd in Phoenix has the lowest prices/fastest markdown schedule.

The Bismarck store sold out of the 360 version at $30, though the last time I was there they still had a PS3 version of Civ for $30. I picked up Uncharted at $30 too.

I haven't bought any PC games in quite a long time, but I did notice a couple of copies of Neverwinter Nights 2 at $27.98 that weren't out the last time I checked. It looked interesting, but it needs to drop more before I'll pick it up.

Whoa, you knew I lived in ND, too?? Do you live in Bis? I'd probably drive there to check out their Target, but I guess that would cost enough gas to defeat the purpose, huh? :) Plus the weather is not conducive to travel. Last time I tried driving to Bis, I went in the ditch. :(

Neverwinter Nights 2 is worth the drop, by the way, although I think Amazon might already be selling it for that price. Was it the gold edition with the expansion pack included? I have it, and I enjoyed it, but frankly it got difficult, trying to babysit my gigantic party while fighting an even more gigantic group of enemies... Pause, adjust, pause... It just got frustrating after a while, which is too bad. I liked the game, but I dunno about the real-time combat. Felt more like Warcraft 3 at times than an RPG. The new expansion (the second) that they just released is supposed to be excellent as well. In fact, both expansions are great, but I never got passed the main game content because of the aforementioned annoyances. Could've just been me.

There's a ton of user-developed content for it, too, although I don't know if there's as much as there was for the first Neverwinter Nights.

So, a slightly hesitant recommendation. You need a somewhat decent PC to run it, too, because it's a real system hog, especially on Vista.

(This is making me want to try playing it again.)
 
my bf and i picked up a 360 wheel today for $24.98 at the long beach target on bellflower. also saw a copy of civ (360) for $14.98 there.

Jesse_Dylan - the Target in my area (Gurnee, IL) had about 6 or so Civ Rev for the 360 for $30. Also had Pirates of the Caribbean (PS3) for $20, and Hot Shots Out of Bounds (PS3) for $41.90.

Also a shaq-fu load of High School Musical.

Tomorrow, I could probably check is my store has any Civ revolutions if anyone wants me to pick one up for them.

I only remember because you asked me in the past if I was from North Dakota :) I do live in Bismarck and I agree the weather could be better. The Neverwinter Nights 2 is the gold edition. I haven't upgraded in a while though.

It if sticks around until $14.98, sure. I have my doubts though, the games don't generally make it to the final markdown here. Are we talking about CIV or Uncharted?
 
Picked up Pure for 360 for $14.98 at Target in Knightdale, NC. Last one but they had maybe 5x Civ Revolution for $14.98 left. Hit up Rocky Mount, NC Target and they had around 5x Pirates of the Caribbean ay $9.98. Hit up Greenville NC Target last night and got Uncharted for $29.98. I doubt it would have been there long enough to drop to $14.98.

Also forgot to mention Rocky Mount Target had one Oblivion Greatest Hits for $14.98 I think.
 
I nabbed LAST COPIES of both Civ Rev AND Ninja Gaiden 2 both for 14.98 each. I was really pleasantly surprised because they were both listed at 2-3 times the price they rang up as.
 
I almost forgot about it, but I saw a copy of Kingdom Under Fire (360) at the Target in Cary, NC. It had an old faded clearance tag for $27.98 and it scanned $0.00. It wasn't there when I dropped by last week, so I guess someone returned it or it was dug up in the backroom again. Such a mystery...

Oh yeah, I remember now too. Ha. :)

Well, it's gotten to be a pretty old game, and they did make some improvements to the graphics engine. It's mostly just running with the details turned on that can chug a system.

I wish they'd swap those things around. The CivRevs, I mean. My store's clearance is not what it used to be. I wonder what happened? Maybe people were swiping the games. Or maybe CivRev just sold well here for whatever reason.
