This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Booo... My TGT was filled with Crap. UT3 PS3 is no longer on clearance and is up to 19.99 MSRP. They had:

UT3 (360): 27.98
Soul Caliber IV (360): 41.98

GH3 Game Only (PS3): 34.98

The games are fair, the price is crap. Waiting on UT3 to drop at least once more before I pull the trigger.
 
Just checked one of my local Targets, Soul Caliber IV (360) was 29.98 and Too Human was 19.98 Hopefully next week Too Human will drop.

Another thing I noticed at my Target which I thought was weird is they had on an end cap a lot of 59.99 dollar games (Skate 2, SW:TFU, Prince of Persia, Fear 2) it was right by the glass case but I guess they just ran out of space in the case itself and stuck those games all on an end cap.

Just picked up Fable II Special Edition for $34.99. Wanted to wait for it to drop even further, but figured at $34.99 they won't be around for very long.
 
I picked up Mercs 2 last week for $14.98, so $20 isn't that great. I guess Target just doesn't mainline anything for whatever reason. Goofies.

I bet Lego Batman's down to $20.98. I should pick it up today.

I really wanted Far Cry 2 at $14.98 and Fracture at $9.98. 1 of my 2 Targets had 3 copies of Far Cry 2 at $29.98. My guess is that they will not last the week (the sold otu Target has had them gone for weeks). If anyone can get an extra copy of Far Cry 2 at $14.98 let me know.
 
I just picked up Far Cry 2 and Singstar for 14.98 and RB Track Pack Vol 2 (the red one) for $ 7.48.

They have 2 copies of each but the CSR took the last copies for himself. It's 5 minutes away from the end of his shift, so I guess that's OK.

I couldn't find any new drops on games that haven't already been mentioned.

However, if anyone is interested in a waterproof and shockproof camera, the Olympus 850sw is now at 50% off (regularly $250). If you buy the display model, they'll take an additional 10% off, bringing it to $112.48 before tax. A friend of mine has one and loves it, she's taken it with her while snorkeling and mountain climbing and she's gotten some amazing shots with it.

I picked up the last one at the Plaza Bonita Target, but I know the Eastlake Target has one left as of 11 this morning.

There was one Fable 2 LE left at the Exton, PA Target in the very back of the clearance end cap. All I ask is that if a CAG picks it up to please post here. Otherwise I have to assume a lurker or hoarder got it :cry:

I think there are actually more 360 games on clearance, but only at 30-50%. The 360 will have its day in due time.
 
I couldn't get Fable 2 LE at CC so I guess I'll try out target. My target is usually dead, so there is like a 45% chance they will have it.(More like 4% but I'm optimistic)
 
Lego Batman dropped to $25 at my store. Tons of copies. They've got Virtua Fighter 5 at $5 too, quite a few of those as well. Picked up two for Goozex, hopefully they generate something. Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway PS3 $15, ironically the 360 version is $41. Same game. Heh. No signs of Fable 2 LE or Far Cry 2, really disappointing.

I picked up quite a lot today for flip purposes:

Tiger Woods 09 :ps3: @ 14.99

Conveniently enough the Play N Trade in my area was running a President's Day special for 40% extra on PS3 trade ins. I got $15.50 per Rock Band Track Pack, $15 per Mercs 2, $30 for End War, and $22 for Tiger Woods 09. Pretty good deal all around.

I also picked up Fracture :ps3: for $9.99 but returned it when I found out that PnT was only going to give me $8.00 after the 40% (and I have no desire to play it for myself).

I really want to know who will "argue" with me about hiding a game so I could pick it up this week after I got paid. I believe it was the same price last week as it was this considering the sticker reads 15.00 :/

Drove 30 miles and struck out on Fable 2: LE. How accurate is the locate in store stock site for Target? It says "Available" which the girl at Target said should mean 4+ copies, however we could not find a single one. Regardless, if anyone comes across it at Target I'll pay $100 shipped for 2 copies. $30 to cover your time, tax and shipping.
 
Picked up a copy of Final Fantasy IV for 19.98, there were 4 left and probably could've gotten it lower at this Target in a few days, but its a pretty long drive, and is sold out at the other local ones. (Manalapan, NJ for those wondering). Also had a few copies of Tiger Woods 09 at 29.98 and a bunch of 360 games (the usual clearance stuff, Facebreaker,AC6 etc)

I've never even SEEN the Fable 2 CE in the Targets in Jacksonville, FL. Good deal you guys scooped up though.

How often does Target to price drops? I'd also like to get The Last Remnant when it drops again.
