This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

I picked up a 19" widescreen Westinghouse monitor today for $31. Marked as is from 44.98. Didn't really NEED it... but I couldn't pass on that. :D

For anyone looking, they had 1 EEE PC left at ~$125. Bossier City, LA. I'm waiting for 75% on that one.

No, I personally don't, but isn't it going to be $9.99 this Sunday at Best Buy? I could be wrong but you might want to double check that. Plus Fry's has been putting that on sale the past couple months, so I wouldn't be shocked to see that as a lower option too. That is if you have a Frys around.

Went to Target for the second time this week. Got a gaming ottoman on clearance for 27, and a new camera for $180

The camera is a Kodak EasyShare Z1012. It was $249 marked down to $174.98. I was hoping for a cheap external HDD, but a fancy new camera works as well.

you can probably find it elswhere for a lower price, but if you can get it for 14, it's well worth it. very fun and enjoyable game, sucks that it didn't sell so well when it first came out.

It's $10 new (and $9 used) at Game Stop for both the 360 and PS3 versions.
 
I went to my Target and they seemingly pulled stuff (a majority of which isn't gaming related) out of the woodworks and had them at 75%. I ended up getting a Sony 1GB memory stick for $4.98 (056 12 0522), thought they also had Lexar sticks for $4.48 (056 12 1007). Also got a set of Philips noise cancelling headphones for $38.87 (057 01 0328).

Something I also saw that is pretty cool are tv/monitor shelves for $6.44 (008 00 0894). If anyone doesn't know what I'm talking about, they are shelves that have swivel feet with velcro/tape on the back. You put it on top of your tv or monitor and BOOM! Instant shelf. I actually use them for my TV and monitor. Oh, and obviously this only works if your entertainment viewing device got booty. If you have a flat panel monitor, it has nothing to stand on...

Saw a copy of Soul Calibur for PS3 randomly pop up (must have found a stash) and it was marked 29.xx, but actually 12.xx... got it because i won't beable to hit up best buy as I work all day and figure they should be gone...
 
Bought a 2GB Pro Duo stick on clearance a couple of weeks ago for 17.48, didn't see anymore. Today one popped up for $6.xx at 75% off and I bought that one. I cant seem to find the receipt for the first one - is there any way I can get them to look up a receipt in the store?
 
I bought a 5" Digital Picture Frame for $14.98 (originally $59.99).

The # is 056-13-0016 and is made by Axion. It only holds 14 pictures in memory but takes memory cards.

If you paid by credit or debit card they may be able to look it up that way.

GameStop, BBV and HWV all have it for 9.99 NEW. so check at those places first. I really liked it when I bought it at 20 months back. So I think it's worth the 10.
 
With so many of the Ipod speaker docks going on clearance, I wonder if the Zune speaker dock will finally go on clearance (no need for any sarcastic "why would you need one of those" comments. I think the Zune has great functionality. Unfortunately, the programmers for the software are idiots.

My Target sucks they always are way behind you guys deals and people buy stuff way to early. So I usually don't bother but I went this morning and was surprised to see 9 copies of Far Cry 2 on a endcap. They were tagged for 19.98 and scanned as the same (50%) I carried it around as I browsed for other deals but decided to wait for 75%. Hopefully this week otherwise all 9 will surely get snapped up.

I left Target only buying a Dane-Elec 1GB flash drive not bad for $2.74. Just something little to throw in my desk drawer for stuff here and there.

did you happen to be at the target on precent line rd in hurst, tx? I saw the exact same deals on wednesday and passed on SC4 because of the best buy sale on sunday. still waiting for ME and FC2 to drop. glad a CAG got the game and not some horder.
 
Something new at the Glendale-Indy Target, both at $41.98: Wheelman and Rock Band 2 (game only) both only for the PS3. The 360 versions were not clearanced there.

Hm, anyone know it Wheelman is any good? I know it got like 65-70% average on Gamerankings depending on system, but I don't always trust reviews and would rather a fellow gamers opinion. I'd probably wait til the $14.98 spot, which hasn't been too hard to get at one of my local stores.

think theres a demo on XBL, i liked the demo when i played it, seemed fun. wouldnt spend more than $30 on it though

Thanks, I'll check for the demo on PSN and XBL. Though the games 1000 points on Goozex right now so I can get it and trade it away if it sucks.
 
I had to laugh.
Yesterday, I picked up Dark Sector at gamestop as my free title.
Today I see it (actually 6 copy's) at target new for 4.98.
I should have picked it up, and taken my used copy back to gamestop, to have them substitute it out for something else.
Oh well. No biggy.
 
Just to update on prices.

Found the following:
X-Blades (360) and Afro Samurai (PS3) still are $30 at local Target I passed yesterday. Have played them already, horrible games, but $15 seems to be the "sweet" spot if there was one.

Bought the following:
Rainbow Six Vegas 2 (PC), $5
Sam & Max, Season One (PC), $5
Quantum of Solace (PC), $7
Blitz 2, The League (PS3), $10
Rock Revolution (PS3), $5 (got two copies of this one, to good a deal to pass up, traded one to BBV for $19 credit, got Civilization Revolution for it basically)

I noticed several copies of Lego Indiana Jones, Two Worlds and Gears of War in the "Value Games" section. At first, I thought I had stumbled upon someone's discovered stash but I guess these are Greatest Hits re-prints. Lego Indy and Two Worlds were $19.99 and GoW was $29.99. Only GoW had the GH label. Sorry if this has already been mentioned.

Mirror's Edge is at $19.98 (50% off). It looks like this Target never changed the MSRP to $29.99.

If you do trade RR at BBV, make sure you're ready to spend the credit or are happy to purchase/rent DVDs there. The word from some BBV employees in the BBV/GR thread is that every BBV is sending their entire stock of games, new and trade-ins, to liquidators this weekend or atleast by May 2nd. It's not clear if this affects their used game stock. Just a heads up.

I think Wheelman is a really fun game. I paid $40 for it at Best Buy a few weeks ago and don't regret the purchase. The story is a muddled mess, the shooting sections could be better and the graphics aren't top notch but the game delivers otherwise. The cars handle well, the side missions are fun and it's just a blast to drive around destroying everything in sight. :D

Anyway, picked up Sonic Unleashed for 360 tonight for $24.98 at the Bridgeton Target here in St. Louis. They have two copies left if anyone is interested. I was hoping to find X-Blades for $15 like somebody else posted but the best I saw was $30.
 
OK, so this isn't game-related, but I HAD to post this... my local Target has some of the large-bottle beer on clearance, 50% off. Includes stuff from Stone, Rogue, and Ashai. Good stuff!

So most are 1.98 to 2.98. Living in Texas, I was told I couldn't buy it at 11am (cant's sell til noon, stupid bible belt), so I'm not disclosing the location until I can go there later and pick some up :)

Did anyone pick up a copy of 007 Quantum of Solace for PC? If so, where is the CD key located at? I swear this copy I have does not include one. Anyone else have this happen?
 
Found some Apple iPod earbuds for $7.48 today. I love Target employees that are too lazy to mark new clearance prices. The sticker said $20.98!

Here's hoping Mirror's Edge for 360 will still be tagged at 27.xx next week. I input it into the system and it was 19.xx...so I will definitely be picking that up next weekend if it's still there!

Same here....saw about a dozen's Mirror's Edge for $19.99, the latest Warhammer PC game for $14.99 and Naruto Ultimate Battle 3 for $13.99.
