This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

I found Spider-man : Friend or Foe (PSP) for $9.98
(PSP version has an extra level and 2 exclusive characters for obsessive spidey fans)
 
Picked up Viva Pinata: TiP for 14.98

Tons of Nascar 09 for 360 at 14.98 - will wait for 9.98 to pick it up though.

Tons of UT3 for 360 at 27.98 still.. sigh.

Too Human at 19.98 is tempting but I can wait it out.

Otherwise my store has the same selection as most other posters.

I rechecked the Target in Arnold, MO today. The 360 titles have not been marked down any more since my last visit. And I do believe it's been over a week. Oh well. Pretty much the same titles that everyone has already mentioned.

Ditto...different state and store, but I've noticed that markdowns have slowed down significantly over the last few weeks. Come on, nobody wants to pay $41.00 for Spiderman FOF.

same here seems like this week none of my prices for the 360 went down. Hopefully on monday they will go down. Then I can get myself a birthday present
 
Damn, went to the target south of me, all the good games were in the glass case. On the upside, someone had hid some of the ok clearance games(too human being one of them) needless to say I took it and hid it in another spot
 
One clearance find I haven't seen mentioned yet--Iron Chef America (DS) for $9.98, originally $20, plenty of copies available for everyone. This was in the DS display case, not in the clearance section. I'll take a chance on it once it hits $5. This was at the Willoughby, OH location.

I grabbed a PS3 Fracture yesterday for $9.98. They had a TON left.

I've put a decent amount of time into the game so far, and I'd say it's definitely worth $10. Nothing too revolutionary, but it's a solid shooter and things blow up really nice. :)
 
This is a major YMMV * your mileage may vary* We have 3 targets in a 20 mile area. Only 1 had the following prices. The other targets did not have the games as discounted. This is in northeastern new york btw. Some of the games were marked higher than they rang up. I always scan all the games when I go there. Here is what they scanned as.

Tonight I saw:
fracture ( xbox 360 ) for $9.48
legendary ( xbox 360 + pc both ) at $9.48
haze ( ps3 ) $9.98
Tomb Raider underworld ( xbox 360 ) $34.98 - the ps3 was $41.98.
Too human ( xbox 360 ) $12.48

This one store has major competition. It has a walmart, a best buy, a sam's club, a bj's club, a gamestop, and a blockbuster all in the same plaza or across the street. So again, ymmv.

haven't been to a target hunting for games in awhile. 9.98 ps3 fracture caught my eye so i went to 2 targets looking for it. one store had it for 27.98 and the other had it for 19.98. guess ill be going back to those stores again next week.

$9.48 wow would love to find legendary for that price thanks for the heads up gonna be on the look out for that as well
 
Hopefully I can get Too Human for that price eventually. Buddy bought it for 25 thinking you could do split screen co-op so I told him I'll try finding it cheap so him and I can play online.

I have to disagree about Too Human there. I think for $20 or less it's a pretty decent game. By no means did it deserve the hype, but I actually enjoyed it until other games came out. However, Legendary was pretty horrible lol.
 
I was on a business trip to Chantilly VA and I picked up Viva Pinata: TIP for $14.98 as none of my local targets had it.

This Target (on Rt 50 and Lee Road) also had.

Still waiting for Fracture (360) to drop one more time to under $15. May also pick up Nascar and Too Human if they drop below $15 as well. Looks like next week for me. I hope they don't sale out before then.

BTW, is Target dropping prices on Monday or Tuesday for video games?

i think Legendary is a decent game ive played the demo & i fairly enjoyed it now it wont win any awards for itself but for $10 its well worth it
 
This might have already been posted, if so I apologize for the duplicate. I noticed today that Target had Tigerwoods 09 for PS3 on clearance for $14.98. This was at the Target in Richmond, Short Pump. They had like a dozen or so.

Too Human at $12.48 doesn't make sense. It's based on a $39.99 list, not a $49.99 list (at least at my Targets).

Found :360: Rock Revolution for $9.98. Is it worth it? I was thinking about returning it if not... also found :ds: Lionel Trains on Track. for $4.98. The train nerd in me has been waiting for this to drop for so long.
