This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

I snatched Too Human And Fracture at $9.98 (xbox 360)

They have a Buttload of Too Human and Fracture Left .

Hit Target in Revere, MA. Snagged Spider Man: Web of Shadows for PS3 for $14.99, last copy. In addition to that, they had Fracture (PS3) for $9.99, Endwar (PS3) for $14.99, and Mercanaries 2 (X360 priced at $19.99, but rang at $14.99). A couple of copies of each.

Target in Everett MA had the usual suspects (Fracture X360, Too Human X360, Last Remnant X360) but they're still scanning in at $19.99 and up. I'm waiting for the next drop at my local stores...

I ended up snagging Tiger Woods 09 (PS3) and End War (PS3) for 14.98 each. They were at the North Olmstead, Ohio location (2 different stores). I would say there were about 5 Tigers left and 2 End Wars. Tiger was in the case marked 29.98.

Also saw Mercs 2 for 9.98 (PS3), a couple of Facebreakers (360) for 9.98. There were some others in the case where I got End War (Far Cry 2, Silent Hill, Fracture, etc) that I didn't check out the prices for.

Only thing i noticed at my store was

haze PS3 for $7.48 i think and they had some singstar game for ps2 but i didnt look at the price.

Clearance sucks at my store.

I had that happen to me when I tried to buy Lost Odyssey for 9.98 - the girl was like "this can't be right" and scanned it, it rang up 9.98 while stickered 9.98 and kept saying that it had to be the wrong price.

... HELLO, if it's stickered 9.98 and scans 9.98 then it MUST BE 9.98!

And yes, I ended up getting it for that price in the long run. Muahahaha. :bouncy:

Not really a deal, but they had already put up Halo Wars for sale and I just read online that it doesn't come out until March 3.
 
San antonio tx target - not really much of a savings, but I picked up tomb raider underworld for the 360 for my fiance for $29.98 found in the clearance section - I also saw fracture, sing it, and stranglehold which never seems to sell

Are you sure TRU was $14.98? The next price drop at 70% should have been around $19. Did they reduce the MSRP they were basing it on down to $50?
 
On Monday I noticed about 7 copies of The Last Remnant at $41.98 (stickered and scanned). I go back today and all but one are gone. I thought maybe there was a price drop so I scan it and nope, still $41.98. So either everyone wants to buy the game at $2 above MSRP or there's a lot of hiding going on in my local store :whistle2:k :whistle2:\"

70% really? I would think the next drop would be 75%.

Damn, I guess that means I should have them check the price at my Target, because all the copies I have seen were behind glass and not marked under 30% off. Also, hoping to see Fracture, UT3, Rock Revolution, and Too Human at 75% off tomorrow.

Confirmed at the Target in Hazel Dell (Vancouver, WA). I picked up both Tomb Raider: Underworld and Soul Calibur IV for $14.98 each yesterday.

drops happen at 30% then 50% then 75%. so tomb raider started at $60 so 75% off would be $15....

Thank you, I always call before I go. If its not there when I go without calling then whats the point of going. Waste of gas, Plus for insurance I already have a copy of TRU stashed away
 
Just decided to pick up the last copy of SCIV in my area for $30, in hopes that it drops to $14.99 tomorrow.

They do price-adjust clearance games, right? or do I have to do a return/rebuy?
