This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

mine too I don't get it. tombraider was 29.98 at mine.
 
after a month of hitting both of my local targets, both were sold out of Lock's Quest. Today one of my two targets magically had one at 9.98. the clearance endcap was massively overhauled (even the shelving was removed and replaced with wire baskets), so i assume someone had hidden a copy and a clerk found it. i wouldn't mind getting it for 7.48 or whatever, but i'm not going to pass it up at 9.98. they also had lego batman and fracture for 19.xx each. blah.
 
Just got back from Target in Aliso Viejo, CA.

They had 19 copies of :360: TR:UW left @ $14.98. They also had 2 copies of :360: The Last Remnant for $14.98 as well as 4 copies of :360: Too Human.

Unfortunately, no :360: Soul Calibur IV left, but I did pick up the last copy of :360: PGR3 Platinum.

yep. Mine has 8 copies of TR:U at $29.99. They only had 1 copy of Soul Calibur IV so I paid $29.99 for it rather than trying to be the only person to get it for $14.98. I wish my Target was up to speed.

Clearance prices vary at every Target. They each get to individually pick and choose which games go down in price so you'll see an incredible amount of variability in pricing. They will all eventually hit the lowest reported prices, though, if they stay on the shelf.

Nope nothing good here. Just stay away from all Targets, it's a waste of your time:^o

Actually in all honesty I've never seen any of those at Target around here. Of course I'm a little west of Orlando so it may be different in the city.

Nope, I have three Targets within 5 miles of each other and the prices are all different. The newest one usually has the best selection and lowest prices of clearance games.
 
I picked up Too Human XBOX360 for $9.98 and they had A few PSP CAPCOM titles on sale marked $10. I picked up CAPCOM RELOADED. They had Street Fighter and MegaMan too.

Were they on the clearance rack or just on sale? I seem to remember seeing those titles at my Target in the "cheap" games marked at like $15 regular price.

Nice grab, there has been one bundle left at my Target that has been at the $69.98 price point for three weeks now. I am crossing my fingers I can get it for $34.98 this week. (I really just want to replace my broken RB2 drums and nab the extra guitar)

Yeah, all those games were on sale this week for $10. Sale ends today though.

Man, my first time clearance shopping at Target was a bust. I went to the Alhambra, CA location and they had both Spider-Man: Web of Shadows and Mercenaries 2 (the games I was looking for) so I was stoked. The prices on the tags were different but I asked the cashier to check them but they were still right. It was 41.98 for Spider-Man and 19.98 for Mercenaries 2. Weak.
 
Just picked up Fracture and Unreal Tournament for $9.98 each. Wish I could find a copy of Too Human at that price, but the one I went to was out and the other one I called said it was $19.98.
 
Picked up :ps3: Singstar v1 for $29.98. There were 3 of them, and they will likely drop in price this week, but 1 @ $29.98 is better than none at $14.98.

The other Target I visited last week had the drop on Singstar to $14.98, but the 2 that had been left were sold out by the time I got there.

Still waiting for :ps3: Fracture to drop to $9.98 at any of my Target stores.

Well went to my backup Target just now...and made a killing:

I always jump on the clearances once they hit 75%, as I have NEVER seen any of the three Targets around me drop anything to the $7.XX level or lower.

It was pretty obvious someone had been trying to hide the RB SE bundle. It was stuffed on the bottom shelf of the regular gaming section, behind a bunch of RB2 bundles and HS Musical crap, AND it was facing backwards and the price tag was two clearance cycles behind ($97.XX). I got a quote from GS for the PS2 version of Sing It of around $11 and 3 for the mic, so at worst you can trade it in there for a 2X profit with the tiered promotion.

On the regular rack on sale, mine is right near all the HDTV's in clear plastic slots. One whole Ilse wall is devouted to games from 360 to GBA to Gamecube from $29.99 and under. There were several with those Bold white tags with a red stripe on top.saying $10.
 
If anybody wants to hook up a fellow CAG and grab a Spider-Man: WOS and Too Human for the cheap prices I would be more than happy to pay you for them. My Targets blow when it comes to clearanced games.
 
Picked up the last copy of Fracture on X360 for $9.98 at the Eastvale, CA store. They had like 10+ copies of Tomb Raider still at 29.98...boo.
 
Sheesh, everyone else seems to be getting better deals than the targets by me. Seems the ones around here are heavy on the 360 and minimal on the PS3. Saw 2 Last Remnants at all 3 targets I've visited. One on Wednesday where they were $40, and two today where they were still $30. Some TR: Underworlds. Lots of Too Humans. Saw Mercs 2 PS3 for $20, and Farcray 2 and Spiderman WOS for PS3 each for $30. Guess I will have to keep an eye on them.

Unreal Tournament III 360 $9.98
The Bourne Ultimatum 360 $14.98
Rock Band bundle 360 $69.98

So I'm pretty happy, it's like a buy one get three free sale. :)

You just have to get to know the individual Targets in your area. I have 2 in my area that do the price drops real early so I usually go within the first hour that they're open. The other Targets vary so I just check them in the afternoon. I have one Target that doesn't do their drops until Wednesday PM or Thursday AM.

:360: Rock Band Special Edition - $34.98

This was at the Target in Los Alamitos, CA off of the 405 and Seal Beach Blvd.

I didn't see any other sets for :360: (though I didn't look that hard), however I'm pretty sure I saw 3 or 4 that were probably PS2. Since mine was $35, those probably are as well.

If anyone is in the area and interested, I'd suggest heading down there ASAP. The cashier was rocked back on his heels when he scanned it, so he may have went back there and looked for one.

I hit three targets and each one had all their good shit sold already.. somebody cleaned them out because they're all 3 within 40 miles of each other. I saw a customer in there with some type of gun where theyd scan the UPC.. I'm thinking that was one of those amazon guns that tells you what they go for?
 
@pimpster: It was likely one of the "registry" scanners. I know they gave us one when we signed up for our wedding and baby shower.

Nice find. I think that Target is just outside my "area". Also, there is one last 360 Rock Band bundle at the... :whistle2:#.

went to check prices, no new updates. But all of the scanners said no information use red phone to call to check prices???? Was pretty weird, I had to ask up front to scan them or the random person in....hair ducts/perfume/deodorant(over there) cause like usual there is no one in electronics
