This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Nothing good in Wexford PA, though it looks like somebody took the time to nicely stack the clearance games. Still an overpriced TH at 20$.
Rock band 1 bundle at 100$... Seriously...

hit two stores today, had SC for 360 $24.98 and on PS3 for $34.98 (damn) also had bolt ps3 for $20.98, blitz 2 ps3/360 for $27.98, and brothers in arms ps3 for $14.98

From the 2 times I have hidden games, yes they will drop even if is the last copy and they don't re-sticker it.
 
Saw Fracture and GH Aerosmith for $9.98. I almost bought both. I picked up Last Remnant on impulse at $14.98, not sure why. Saw TR: Underworld for $14.98 but I already have it.

All I was hoping for was Mercenaries :(

Both of you more or less answered your own questions. The price will drop in the computer even if they can't scan the game. You'll get a chuckle from the look on the cashier's face when a game that is tagged at $xx.xx scans at $xx.xx. :lol:


Also, if you buy a game at 30% off at one Target and return it to a Target that has the game at 75% off in their system (even if they are out of stock), you will get the lower price when you rebuy the game. The only thing that matters is the price that is in the system. Of course, the danger in doing a return/rebuy is that you have to wait for them to put the game back out on the floor (if they even put it back out).

You can also try doing a return/rebuy at customer service but that is super extreme YMMV.
 
i meangt to mention this a couple days ago, but last time i was at target i bought stuff and with my receipt i got a $10 off $100 electronics coupon. thought it was weird. hmm.

Random coupons come out. One time I got a $5 off any BluRay then the next timeit was 1.50 off of sharpies

I usually only get them for food or health items. And usually only when I use my debit card. This time it was with my credit card. Weiiird.

I've gotten the $5 off any Blu-Ray coupon a few times, which is weird because I've never purchased a Blu-Ray from Target before.

Back on topic, End War (PS3) has now held at $29.98 for the 4th straight week. The only good thing is that no one seems to be buying any.
 
I managed to score a Last Remnant for $15 tonight. Saw a bunch of TR:U for $15 but all XBox. Also saw a couple of Fractures and SC4s, a bunch of Aerosmiths, and even some ABBAs. Far Cry 2 for PS3 was still $30. I'd probably bite on that if it would drop.
 
Just picked up End War and Far Cry for $15 each and when i got home i opened the far cry and there was no game nor book in the case upon further inspection i noticed it was already opened and had clear tape on it, tomorrow im going back to target to get either another copy or my money back or theyll pay dearly
 
Man, I really want Last Remnant and/or SC4 for $15. None of my local Targets are dropping those two this week. I'll have to cross my fingers for Monday morning.
 
I went and found my hiding place again. Too Human and Blitz II rang up as $9.98 so I bought both. The Last Remnant, Soul Calibur IV, and Silent Hill: Homecoming rang up as $29.99 each. These were all 360 versions.

I also saw Singstar Abba for $14.xx, Endwar for $29.xx, and Blitz II (all PS3) for $19.xx.
 
Was in Chantilly on a business trip again and the Target near the 50 had 2 copies of TR:UW at $14.98, so I bought one. They also had 20+ copies of BiA:HH for $14.98 and a couple of Platinum Hits Transformers for $7.48. All those were on 360, nothing left for PS3.

Bought Disney Sing It from the Culpeper, VA Target for $9.98.

Falmouth, VA Target still at 50% on all the games that others are finding... (SH:H, SC 4, Tomb Raider...)
 
Stopped by Fair Oaks this morning. Lots of Sing It, Tomb Raider, and Spiderman WOS (PS3 and 360). All for about $29.98

They also had two PS3 bundles of Rock Band (sticker said $97.98, but it might have been lower because some of the games I rang up didn't match the sticker price).
 
Anybody know the ASIN: number for Last Remnant (360)? I'm trying to do a locate at target but I can't find the asin on the website.
 
Found Far Cry 2 at the Target on abrams and northwest highway (Dallas) for $15 yesterday. TR:UW and Last Remnant are still floating at $30.

Two copies of EndWar were also there at $15.

You provided him with a DPCI #, which isn't the same as an ASIN.

Both versions are on clearance but the PS3 version is $27.98 right now.

360:
Last Remnant - $15
Bourne - $15

DS-
Locke's Quest - $10

Actually, I wasn't going to get Bourne at all, and there was a ton of them at that price, but reading reviews etc it actually looks pretty good for that price, so I nabbed it on a whim. Now if freakin Silent Hill would drop below $41 for me, I'd be thrilled. That, and finding a copy of FF4 for the DS.
 
Dammit, looked for Last Remnant and Bourne, and both are still 41.99. They had like 2 or 3 of each, still behind the glass case.

You might want to get an employee to double check and scan them. Half the time the prices aren't correct if their behind the case...at least, at most of the Targets I frequent.

Dude, thanks for that link. Looks like it works substantially better than the search I found (which doesn't work at all). I tried on Far Cry 2 and it showed at the store I saw it at, so it appears to be at least slightly accurate.
 
Someone in another thread said Tomb Raider Anniversary for the 360 was down to $7.48. I know this was on clearance (though I don't see it in the OP). But when I scanned one the other day it came up $19.99 so it must have gone off clearance.

Also, Bolt for the 360 is $7.48, not $4.98 as in the OP. While it is possible there is some different pricing going on at different stores, that seems unlikely since the base price on the sticker is $29.99 making $7.48 the final clearance value (and that's what it rang up for me). (Edit: searching the thread it seems all the other sighting were at $7.48 too, so just a typo in the OP I guess ;)).

I've seen TR:Anniversary too, but it's always in the bargain racks up front as opposed to the clearance shelf in the back.

I know I saw one with a clearance tag, but it could have been a mistag of a Tomb Raider Underworld. And like I said, someone else is reporting it at $7.48 in another thread. I asked if it was TR:U which should only go down to $14.98 and he said no, it was Anniversary. That might be a highly YMMV clearance, though, and it was simply price dropped to $19.99 at most stores.
