This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Bah, my Target sucks so much. Two copies of The Last Remnant and two copies of Silent Hill: Homecoming, all still $30. Buncha Fracture still $20. Nothing dropping to my price range. :(
Found Far Cry 2 at the Target on abrams and northwest highway (Dallas) for $15 yesterday. TR:UW and Last Remnant are still floating at $30.

Two copies of EndWar were also there at $15.
Ah, a fellow Dallasite.
Were there more FC2 there?

Apparently those logitech mic's packaged with Sing It are compatible across every system, for every game. I think I read that somewhere. So, essentially, you get $10 or more GS credit and a free mic. Or, if you can convince your Game Crazy to accept it as a Rock Band mic, they'll give $10 credit.
I know I saw one with a clearance tag, but it could have been a mistag of a Tomb Raider Underworld. And like I said, someone else is reporting it at $7.48 in another thread. I asked if it was TR:U which should only go down to $14.98 and he said no, it was Anniversary. That might be a highly YMMV clearance, though, and it was simply price dropped to $19.99 at most stores.
I'd love to find TR:A at that price...

I checked just about every Target there is to check in San Antonio and all the clearance is still the same price. I'm looking for TR:U for $14.98 but each store had it for $29.99 except for one that still had it as $41.98. It looks as if most of the Target's around here just put out TR:U so I don't know when they'll drop again. I'll probably check back over the weekend and then at the beginning of next week.

Looks like somebody or some hoarder scooped up all the TR:U at the Wilsonville, OR location. I stopped by on Monday and they had at least 6+ copies at $14.98. I passed as I don't own a :360: and it wasn't worth picking up to me for trading (since nobody has what I want anyways). Stopped by today and they were all gone, along with Rock Revolution :360: and :ps3:. They had 1 Bolt :ps3: and 1 Soul Calibur IV :ps3:, 1 GHIII :ps3: and other stuff not so important.
First off it wasn't a snarky comment...I like to use continuation points in my posts...

Second off, forgive me for trying to help a fewllow CAG'r...I'll remember not to in future situations.

Third...try this link out...http://www.target.com/gp/store-info/find-target-store.html?asin=B001CM630Q
Awesome. thank you, and to the others.

I'm sure I could have found the ASIN from the DCPI number, but I tried for a few games I knew both of and for the life of me could not find it. I tried searching Target, but couldn't find it either.

So thank you everybody.

I went there Tuesday after you picked up both copies of Rock Band Track Pack Vol. 2 (could have left one for me...well, anyway). I picked up TR:U, Last Remnant, Haze and Rock Revolution :360: (1 copy each). When I left they still had 3 copies of TR:U and 2 copies of Rock Revolution :ps3: ($13.98). IIRC they had 3 copies of Fracture :ps3:

I can't imagine who would pay $13.98 for Rock Revolution

I swear there was still a Rock Band Track Pack left at the time I bought mine (3 total, I bought 2). You're right about Revolution though. $13.98 for that? I thought about the :360: version, but I have no use to it and trying to trade such a crappy game would be more trouble than the $5 it costs.

I did go to the K-Mart in Tualatin and picked up the two copies of Beautiful Katamari they had. 1 for my cousin and 1 for myself, if I ever get a :360:.

The Target in Greensburg doesn't have any 360 games on clearance anymore :( They had a bunch of copies of SCIV for PS3 for $29.98

DAMN, I am starting to think target is watching me. Another one of my stashes was found, a good one too. I lost one and was able to recover one of the Spider man WoS I stashed for the PS3. Have to start getting a new spot now

Picked up Rock Revolution (360) $4.98, Deal or No Deal (Wii) $7.98, Bolt (360) $14.98.

My Target had about 25-30 Tomb Raider: Underworld (360) for $14.98...I decided to leave it there. Hopefully I can pick it up for $7.98.

Has anyone else reported picking up Tomb Raider: Underworld (360) for $7.98?

TR:U for $14.98 is already at 75% off. From past experience, most of the games would be salvaged after 75% off and only a handful would go to 85% off but don't count on it. I doubt TR:U would go lower than $14.98.

Found a Mercs 2 (360) at $15, a random discovery but I passed. Waiting on it to drop to the $8 range, it wasn't that amazing of a game. The last Fable LE I saw a few days ago poofed, right when I just acquired the money to obtain it. :(

Yeah I noticed this too....

I think they have some sort of secret stashdar that locates their missing copies of clearance games....

Haha thats the truth, also forgot to mention that another one of mine was almost found as well if I hadnt got there in time. Note to self, never hide in lego section
I saw a motherload of Ds car rechargers
Mine had between 50-75 of these at $6.48. Definitely will be waiting for a drop on these.

Looks like my Target discovered a GTA Special Edition for PS3 that was tagged at 44.98 but rang up 0.00 (out of system). I scored it for 22.48 (the price it should've been before salvage) after talking with a nice guy in electronics and having an awesome manager agree to sell it at it's last price. Nice to replace the copy I sold for $30 on CL a few weeks ago. It never hurts to be polite AND persistent.

This may be a dumb question, but for those of you that are hiding games, what happens when your hidden copy of a game is the only one left in stock? I'm guessing that the store's inventory will show that there is still a copy of the game in stock, but will they continue to lower the price on it in their system?

Nice manager indeed. A found a copy of TMNT (360) that rang up out of the system and the employee stated "we can't sell that." Wouldn't even bother looking up the last price with the hand scanner since it "couldn't be sold."

Yeah, but have you seen how many of those camera things are on the ceiling. There are millions, and they dont have a monitor for every single on. There has to be a like rotation type of thing, how many employees watch the tapes when they day is over.

I know electronics has several cameras down almost every aisle (at least the Targets I've visited). Just out of curiosity, where do people hide their stashes? I mean I'm starting to imagine they stuff them in clothing racks, maybe behind or in furniture...I'm sorta curious to this technique.

I mean, have people actually hidden large items, like RB Bundles?

RB bundles would be the hardest, I mean with a game you just walk over to your spot, move a couple of items and stash it, move items back, and walk off. Thats with a games, no matter where you are that RB will be seen a mile away by cameras and employees, especially if you are pulling it out of the cart or walking with it in hand. I have though about doing it, but there would be no place to put it except maybe one spot, but it would still be big and bulky.

lol. I would crack up so much if i saw someone stashing a RB/GH bundle under some clothes.

I would take the Rock Band bundle into the restroom and hide it up in the ceiling tiles.

Wow, I just had a great idea. Take some good games and throw them in the garbage. Then go dumpster diving the next day. Guess that's been done before huh. I'm joking, settle down.

There isn't a camera in every single one but I used to work at Target and believe me they have it well covered. Target has probably the tightest loss pervention, and for the record at my store we were very aware of people that would hide clearance and we did ban them from the store so good luck with that.

So far I have been doing all right, I think mine were just dumb luck cause where I hid them the products were all gone in the area.

Are you being literal or figurative? Every Target I've ever been to I can see myself on a monitor on the ceiling as I walk through the front door.

One left as of yesterday afternoon... I will say this though ... the two that I DID find were not there last week. I'm guessing someone hid them, and then a Target employee found them and reshelved them.

haha i can personally attest to all the security monitors being watched. when i was young and stupid i tried to pull some shit at my local target. got dragged into the security office. and saw all the damn monitors in front of me. my friend n i at that time had thought that either all those domes didnt have cameras or there was no way to monitor all of them.

haha yea. just be careful with what you do.

What do you think?

This idea that big brother is watching your every move is completely plausible but its also completely unrealistic...

Then I invite you to attempt to rip off a casino. Let us know how that works out for you. And, yes--you are a moron for more than one reason.
