This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Same here, I did pick up the lone copy of Rock Crapolution (PS3) for $9.98. Figured its not going to last either. At that price I'll bite on any game that can extend the life of our instruments.

Saw a stackful of SCIV (PS3) for $24.98 and a few Singstar ABBA PS3 $19.98. Maybe we'll see a 75% off drop in a week or two on these.

Although ABBA i'm sure will be gone before then and $19.98 is a steal anyway for those looking.
 
I am still new to this site and have checked a lot of pages before I decided to ask but has anyone who lives in Georgia even seen Soul Caliber IV or the Last Remnant at any Target on clearance? I have checked a few Targets in the past week and haven't had any luck.

SCIV (360) and The Last Remnant are most likely gone at all Targets. They were drops that started well over a month ago. You might find a few stores with straggling copies, but don't count on it.

You should still be able to find SCIV for PS3 at 50% off for $24.98 though.

The oceanside Target keeps moving there stuff . It goes from an end cap close to the game section to the book section . Its on an endcap between the dvds and the books the last time i checked . They even move them within the book section sometimes ??? Vistas always has been a bust for me because it is so organized in the actual isle itself .
The Encinitas store still has those GH Aerosmiths and a my facts coach left but nothing much else .

Took a trip out to Target and didn't see anything interesting. I did grab the DPCIs for the new TVs on clearance, and added a few (crappy) 20.98 DS games that I didn't see anyone else mentioned. Also got the DPCI for Singstar Abba for PS3 and Singstar Pop Vol 2 for PS2. Look at that list in the OP! So many DPCI numbers! Good job, guys. Keep 'em coming so I don't have to do any work. =p
 
I work at what is considered a high risk store in Chicago, this has the benefit that people will grab stuff and throw them a few aisles down. I found Bourne yesterday and still looking for a copy of Last Remnant, so if the Target you shop at is like mine don't forget to stroll around the endcaps past the clearance section guys.
 
Two friends and I stopped by three Targets yesterday in South Florida and were pretty disappointed, sans for a copy of Bioshock for $19.99 at the brand new store on 57th ave.

Pines had Rock Revolution(PS3) for $9.xx, TR:U for 360 at $14.xx as well as Bourne for 360 pegged at $14.xx. The only other thing I saw was a huge amount of Step Brothers UMDs.

Miramar Pwky Target had Blitz 2 for $20.xx, SCIV for $34.xx and Rock Revolution for $9.xx. I only took note of the PS3 games here.
 
Just for kicks, I checked the Target item locator to see what it said about the phantom Fable 2 LE's that were in supposedly in stock but no-where to be found in two nearby stores. Both stores that said limited quantities for the past month are now reading out of stock. So, someone must have gotten their hands on them. Somehow.

Or perhaps the stores went over their inventories, realized they no longer had the item, and took it out of the system.

I would bite on Rock Band for Less then $70. I can't find a PS3 or 360 version, which is what I prefer. I can find a PS2 version for cheap at Best Buy, but I would rather have it for current gen system.

Maybe I should bite anyways, I have a $50 BB gift card I'm likely to never use anyways. So it would only cost me tax.

Edit: I forgot about the BB reward certificate. It could be free.

get the ps2 bundle. The unstruments work with the ps3. Then take the game to gamestop and flip it for the PS3 version. I did this (granted a year ago) and with the promotion going on, it only cost me $2.11 to upgrade game discs

Thanks for the advice. I think I will head down Friday and pickup the PS2 version. I do have a BC PS3 so I have something to play it on. I wasn't sure if I should buy one of the microphone games for the PS2/PS3 (Sing it) and then buy a Rock Band stand alone for the PS3 as I'm mostly interested in the signing aspect of the game. But I might get into the other things when people come over.

I'm most interested in acquiring USB compatible instruments for various PC projects, but I wanted the full set for the same "party" reason.

Bear in mind paying more than $70 for Rock Band 1 hardware might not make sense:

The drum kit is $30 most places

The corded USB mic from many other cheap clearance games (e.g., Disney's SingIt) work ~$10)

The guitar in the RB 1 kit is USB corded. If you could scrounge up an old wired xplorer, although not identical, these can be found for $10-$20, and the wireless guitar w/ GHIII is $32 from amazon for your platform.

Add this up and you're close to $70, but with no game, of course...

Depends what you want.

Also, FYI: The RockBand 1 kit for PS2 rang up at $99 at my target!

The PS3 RB1 guitar in the SE bundle is wireless.
 
All Rockband SE PS3's at my Target are now gone.
All $12 Soul calibur IV PS3's are gone (there were quite a few)
The few copies of Singstar ABBA PS3 are gone.

Ridiculously large amounts of Littlest Pet Shop for $20, though.

showing up at more than one target (hurst & bedford, tx) is the Intec Ps3 bluray bundle. usually 49.99 but are dropped to 34.98. Saw 310 to yuma, T2 and league of extrodinary gentlemen. This includes hdmi cable, bluray movie and remote (w/dongle). I'm keeping an eye out for this to drop even lower but not too excited about the remote having a dongle. my 4 port usb hub is getting full.

Are you including tax, because Target clearances don't end in .07. That's more like an as-is price.

Either case, your find is an exception to the typical drops. Sure, there's a CHANCE prices could drop more than 75%, but I'll pretty much bet the likelihood of a game a) dropping more than 75% and b) still being there is pretty slim.

There never was a theory. 75% is the typical Target clearance limit and anything beyond is extremely YMMV. Most stores will just let 75% off ride until it sells as it usually does before they salvage.

Did go to another Target because I had been looking for Bolt on Blu-ray (see another forum as there is a current Disney $10 off coupon!) as it had been sold out at other Targets in this area.

Did buy Prince of Persia DS for $7.48. The sucker never got a 50% off sticker, it probably was a go-back that was hidden when it was 30%.

Also bit on a Step Brothers UMD for $4.98 since I'll be on a plane shortly and want to watch something on the PSP. I noticed its not the unrated version though, which of course was the best. ;)

Looks like the Disney PS2 Buzz was a new 30% off at ~$30. Should have noted the number, but was to much in a rush. Two Singstar ABBA for ~$20 left.

Well, uneventful week here. I can safely say that the Merrillville and Highland, IN Targets are not worth your time. Valparaiso isn't all that grand either, Bourne and TR:U left along with a metric assload of SingStar Abba's.

Bourne and TR:U were tagged back at $29.98, though. I picked Bourne up last week for $14.98, so you may have to scan to confirm on what the price is.

Here's hoping next week is a bit more eventful.
 
Just curious if anyone remembers the lowest price Final Fantasy Tactics A2 for DS got to. I saw the lowest price on the main Target thread XI as 20.98. Seems to me it would go lower. I saw one in the case and wasn't sure if it was clearanced since its been so long.

Still $29.99 at the Target I checked last week. I think it was only a very select few Targets that actually put it on clearance.

Yeah, this was a weird case. Every Target around me kept it at regular price, but there were a few CAGs reporting it on clearance. I think it was actually a few weeks after it came out when people reported it, which was very shocking to me.
 
i wonder what we'll find reduced next? its part of the fun, IMO.

Im hoping that naruto report is true, and it hits the sweet 15$ mark soon :)

Oh, the Naruto report is definitely true. It will probably be about 6 weeks before it hits $14.98 though.
