This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

I haven't gone CAGing in a while since I recently got sick, but I finally got to hit up a few Targets after work today in the South FL area.

The Pines Blvd. Target is a waste. This is where I first started my CAG career and now the place is almost embarrassing. The only noteworthy game was Mirror's Edge 360 for $27.xx, but I don't have a 360. No PS3 games and the only Wii game was Dancing With the Stars. Everything else was shovelware DS games and crappy looking kid DVDs.

The Super Target on Miramar Pwky. came close to topping Pines. The old clearance section in the DVD part was removed. Instead, it's at the end of an aisle by the video games, literally tossed there. Mirror's Edge 360 was $20.xx here and there was literally nothing else of interest. There was a PS3 Memory Card adapter for $3.xx, if anyone is interested in that.

There was 1 Far Cry 2 (360) @ $19.98 left at the Kemah tgt if anyone is interested(better run!)

The PS2 games were hanging tight at $13.98 although the herd seems to be thinning. I think they're selling. There were some $6.98 PS2 games that nobody wants like Corvette racing, Motocross and Bowling.

It was hard to pass up the $2.48 PS2 controllers but my controller needs are well taken care of and I couldn't justify the clutter. Apparently other shoppers feel the same.

are all Targets selling it for $35? If they are, I am totally picking that up. I already have the GH:WT Band Kit for my Wii along with Rock Band 2, but I wouldnt mind another set for my PS3.

If anyone wants a first impressions review of the controller.... It's a bit bigger than the official S, mostly because it's shape (but not button layout) seems based on the old Duke. It has a very plastic, smooth finish which does make it feel a little odd when grabbed since there is no grip. It has no rumble, making it rediciously light, even with the 4 AAAs it uses installed. There is no accessory ports on the controller itself, but there is one of the dongle. As for how it actually works... the analog stick(s?) are extremely sensitive. I tried playing MVP 2005 with it and pitching was almost impossible (and the lack of rumble meant I didn't know when my pitch cursor was outside the zone). Then I tried playing DOAU2. Again, the sticks weren't suited for the game. I switched to the D-Pad and that worked excellently. It's very good, definitely better than the normal controller's D-pad. Also, all the buttons/triggers/directionals have a very good firm feel to them. When you press something, you know it's being pressed. Overall, it's decent for games where you don't need precision control with the sticks or rumble. Probably won't be my main controller though but it's certainly useable.

lol, I probably wouldn't have noticed if someone else didn't point it out but this dude does ask a gripton of questions. I found this one, in particular, kinda funny since it was a good 2 posts below someone suggesting he stop asking so many questions.

Any SA-town CAGs been to the Forum Target lately? There's not a single console game on the clearance endcap. I wonder if someone actually bought up all the crap that was there.
 
Saw the rare clearance drop from 30% to 75% off today. Last week Rock Revolution PS3 scanned for $13.98 and SCIV PS3 scanned for $34.98. Today, they scanned for $4.98 and $12.48 respectively. They were hanging at those prices for nearly a month.

Also saw about 15 copies of Mirror's Edge (360) for $19.98. I figured there should still be some around when it hits $9.98 so I didn't buy it.

Spotted Far Cry 2 (360) for $20, Turok (360) for $15, and Sonic Unleashed (360) for ~$35 today at the Target off I-35 North in Austin. Might go back for Turok and FC2 tomorrow.
 
my target must be behind the times. i found UT3 (PC) for $9.98. i had also seen rainbow six vegas 2 (PC) for $13.98 but those were all gone the next time i went.

probably flea market scalpers...all of the "intraprenuers" out there make finding anything collectable or that they perceive to be saleable at profit a b*tch to find. Any time I couldnt find the latest starwars/transformers/marvel legends...etc, they were sure to be found out in poteet, highway 90, or the eisenhower flea market.

I sure as hell dont miss that crap! It is so awesome to go to a store at 4:00 pm like a normal person, and leisurely pick up whatever, rather than to have to get up at like 8AM on a saturday, just so I have a chance at getting whatever....do you ever have any luck with target, or did you with circuit city clearances?

I never found anything worthwhile when I lived there.

Have no idea how it managed to survive mark downs yesterday but i picked up a Rock band for 35 along with a 4.98 copy of Rock Revolution , figures I spend that much when just going in to buy a shipping box.

I was looking at those noise cancelling earbuds but read a review on Amazon that they are not good for outdoors use. I was going to use em for when I cut my lawn but reviewer said that the mikes on the earbuds pick up the sound of the whistling wind blowing and tries (unsuccessfully) to cancel out that noise.

Just something to factor in.

I spotted Singstar ABBA ps3 9.98 in Ankeny, IA and found SC IV for ps3 for 12.48 for PS3 in Altoona, IA. I'm also waiting for Afro Samurai to drop to 14.98!
 
Wait...Zune are on clearance...ugh now I have to go take another look again. Got Soul Calibur IV for PS3 for the $12.48 price and Need for Speed Carbon for PS2 at $4.98 as well. How long has Nights and Elebits been on clearance?!
 
Just picked up a copy of Mirror's Edge (360) for $19.98 at the Target in Everett, MA. It was the only copy.
 
Mirror's edge still isn't that cheap around here. BTW...how are those Psyclone PS2 controllers? Saw a few but wasn't sure on the quality since I've only heard of that brand recently.
 
My sis went to Target today and I told her to look for the Rock Band USB Hub and Rock Band Bundle (ps3), she only ending up finding the Hub which she got for 5 bucks. they sold out of the RB Bundle. Doing the location search, everywhere else is sold out near me too.

I might take ya up on that, hit up the Target again today and forced someone to scan the barcode for me and they were priced at 12.98 or something like that, so I bought all 3 of them.

Then went to my local game crazy and picked up their last 2 pink battery packs :)

Also picked up PSP Spiderman Web of Shadows for 14 and something else random.

I dont really want to pay that much (yes 55 is a lot compared to 35) as I already have the GH:WT Band kit for the wii along with RB2 for the wii. Ur probably wondering why I want it for the PS3 then, but I just want it to have it.

sadly all my targets sold out once they hit that price as I wanted to pick up the 3:10 to Yuma one (got the T2 one last week, maybe the week before).
 
I picked up Mirrors Edge (X360) at the Capital Blvd. ghetto store in Raleigh, NC for $19.98. There was one copy left. Not much else of interest there, TTC, or White Oak.
 
Was hoping to find a 360 controller, but I ended up only getting a copy of Mirrors Edge (360) for $19.98 @ a Westminster, CA Target. I think they had one other copy. I also went to a few Targets in Huntington Beach, CA and picked up 2 copies of Rock Revolution (PS3) for $5 each.
