This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Went to Target Today to return 2 games I picked up even cheaper and walked out with Ghost recon Advanced warfighter 2 for ps3 for $7.48,50 cent blood and sand for ps3 for $12.48 and legends of westlemania for Xbox360 for $14.98. Now I have to go back and return the copy of ghost I paid 14.98 for and the xbox360 version of 50 cent I paid 14.98 for. I always prefer the ps3 version but I am a sucker for a deal whichever I can get cheaper.

lol, i had a similar thing happen. I picked up GRAW 2 a week ago for 14.95 + tax = which was $16 in total, and I also picked up a Wahl Shaver.
I went back to that target today and returned the shaver because it wasnt the one that I thought I needed, and got my money back. I also had GRAW 2 with me which I bought from a week ago in my back pack and I scanned it in one of the price scanners in target, and for my surprise it said $7.48 as well!
I went straight back to the costumer service to return the game, get my cash back, and then rebuy it, however, the girl that returned me the money for the shaver, told me that she cant do it, I actually have to go back to the isle and find another copy and then buy, and i cant rebuy the one that im retruning, and im telling her its the only one there is no more copies, she said she cant do that, and i insisted that why should i pay more money when i can get it for cheaper, and at the end she said well "im not supposed to do this" but did it any way. She was black, and i thought she would brake my balls, but i was surprised at the end i even offered to buy her a soda or a slushie whatever they have in their food court in there along with their famouse pizza hutt stands, but she didnt reply. so I just said thank you and left. lol
I also got 50 cent blood on the sand for $12.48, which I have a feeling that its going to drop even more after another week, but im not going to take a chance and leave it in there and have some one else buy it, especially since its the last copy, lol! worst things worst, il go back with it again after a week or two, and if the price will drop, il try to return it and re buy it again! lol
wanted was 14.98, but the reviews werent the best ones, saying the lenght of the game is only 3 hours in normal mode, so i skipped. oh and bionic commando was 14.98 as well, but i skipped it.
Went to sears thought and got NFS Own the City for $9.99 for the PSP, and the price is going back up tomorrow to $19.99, so I was lucky with that as well.
 
Halo Wars LE showed up on the shelf today with a $55.98 sticker. I politely asked for someone near electronics to scan it with a PDA and it said salvage. Dude said he would give it to me for $19.98. Done deal. Funny thing, when I was looking for this months ago the online search for the store always said limited availability but I couldn't ever find a copy...hidden stash or sloppy inventory?

Picked up Boom Blox today for $20.98. Normally I'd wait for a drop, but seeing as how I was given $10 towards the purchase, I couldn't refuse.

If anyone sees De Blob or Rayman Raving Rabbits for $7.98 or under and is willing to snag me a copy, shoot me a PM!
 
I wanted a GHWT 1 guitar bundle for the guitar cuz my rockband guitar is crapping out. No luck though. Should have bought an extra GH3/AS bundle at sear >.

You have to ask them to scan the game with a handheld scanner and it will give them the last known price. YMMV on them wanting to get it scannned or actually selling it to you at that price, though. Good luck.

Just got the conduit for wii for 12.48!!!! Super happy with that purchase. It had a sticker on it that said $24.98 but when they rang it up only 12.48.

- The PS3 games they had clearanced were also on the endcap by the cards.

- They had various PSP and DS titles, however, I didn't really look to see what they were. They were located on both of the endcaps I mentioned.

- They had some copies of Kung Fu Panda for the 360, however, I didn't note the price tag on them. These were located by the card endcap.

Hope that helps someone in the market for any of those games. I'd have grabbed GH: Metallica if I had any of the instruments for the PS3, but unfortunately I do not. I was really hoping I could find a copy of Motorstorm 2, Ratchet and Clank, or 50 Cent for the PS3.
 
Picked up de Blob for under $5 today, they only had one. I also noticed GTA: Chinatown Wars clearanced to $25, their was only a couple more copies so I doubt I'll be seeing it at a lower price
 
Hit up a couple of Targets on the way home last night. The Westheimer store near Fondren had one copy of Wanted (360) for $12.xx. Didn't pick it up.

I kinda wanna get Prince Of Persia for $14 though.

Good price, too bad there was no headset included. I got the game a while back for 30 plus tax including the headset, and I must say I find the headset quite nice.

Anyway checked this past thursday at the local target Chicago one on Roosevelt had x blades for 1498 plus tax. Otherwise the ps3 side of things was cleaned out, the bonic commandos were gone and finally all the socom games with headsets were gone. 2 weeks ago they had like 30 on clearance. For 360 there was a couple ncaa 09 for i think 14, and street fighter 4 for 2998. This makes me wonder though since they had street fighter 4 on clearance for 360 would they have it on clearance for ps3 even though it is still behind casing. I forgot to ask the guy in electronics.

On a side not behind the casing they were selling uncharted for 1498 and I was told within a couple days they were sold out.
 
Found ironman for the 360 for 4.98 at the wilkes-barre target. Was hoping for dead space for the ps3 but the employee i talked to said he bought the last 10 when the dropped to 7.98.

Has anyone else seen :360: Rock Band 2 at full price still at their Target? If it's already down to the $12.xx price point it should be on clearance pretty much everywhere, right?

The Fallout expansions also rang up at full price. This is at two different Targets.

P.S. I had the employee price check them and confirmed full price.
 
Went to return some xbox games I picked up on ps3 for cheaper today and walk out with Monster vs aliens PS3 for $12.48 and Big Beach sports for Wii for $4.98 als picked up a cd women of the 80's for $4.48. I can't resist those female vocals lol.

Picked up Star Wars The Force Unleashed for 7.48 today in Jxn, MS. Nothing else to mention as they don't have hardly any PS3 clearance out, and not much of a selection for Xbox that I want.

That's standard price at all Targets, right? My Target had one copy at $15 and it was under the $30 or less section. Targets uses yellow stickers at the bottom of shelves to show regular prices and it did say Prince of Persia $14.99... so MSRP at Target.

I also saw on clearance, 50 cent - PS3 for $12.98 and I got a copy. 1 more left in Flower Mound, TX.

It's still at full price everywhere here. I've heard reports of it having hit $12.xx and disappearing at stores a little further outside of the city, but at everywhere in the range that I usually look in, it still hasn't gone on clearance at all. Hopefully soon!

I picked up a copy a few weeks ago at a Target in Ashland, VA for $12.48. They had none left last week when I drove through there.
 
Grabbed :ps3: Bionic Commando for $14.98 in Rockville tonight. For some reason the two copies they had were in a locked case below the other clearance games (even though there were more expensive games out in the open up on the shelf? I don't get Target sometimes.) and the electronics guy was busy with some other customers, so I wandered off and looked around the CDs for a bit. When I came back, he was still busy with the customers, but there was a guy and his girlfriend looking at the game in the case. So I hurried up and got in line to grab the Target employee first, just in case they were hoarders. :lol: All worked out well (well, unless they wanted to hoard both copies!) and I got my copy and they got theirs.

Just out of curiosity, wondering if the other guy is here on CAG as well . . .
 
Picked up Wanted: Weapons of fate for 12.XX and NCAA 09 Football for 7.XX for Xbox 360, at the Richland, WA target today. Not much else there for consoles on the clearance shelf. Saw Sins of a Solar Empire PC there for 9.XX on clearance.

I thought this was curious though. The last time I was in there( a week and change ago), there was 3 or so Rockband 1 Xbox 360 wireless guitars marked "as is" for like $15 to $20, somewhere in there, they had the as is stickers and a black marker marked through their upcs on the back of one or two of them. Boxes looked new/untouched to me. Today, the same three guitars had the "as is" stickers pulled off, scuffing the boxes and had regular clearance stickers on there marking them at $41.XX.

I was at target the other day in Charlotte NC, I found POP for the 360 over in the regular games, it didnt have a clearance tag just a normal tag and a normal shelf tag it was 7.47 I think or so. I bought the only two copies they had but they may get more because it didnt look like clearance looked like somehow that was their normal price on it.

Every clearance game that you see for $14.98, is going to go down to $7.48 the next week.
Every game that is $13.98 is going to be $4.98 most likely the next week as well.
I noticed this because I picked up Graw 2 a week ago for $14.98 for the PS3, and this week it dropped down to $7.48.
I also saw Rolling Stones Drum King for the Wii that had a $13.98 sticker, I scanned it, and it was $4.95 or #4.98,, so I grabbed it as well.
Just sharing this with every one so you can save more money.

Are you saying this with some sort of knowledge that Target is changing their extremely YMMV policies (That every store determines what drops and when), or are you just reporting what you've seen happen at your local store(s)?

Please stop spreading misinformation buddy. Nothing has to drop the next week, usually it is weeks in between drops for most games. Target works on a 30-50-75% off scale for games so do the math based off the pre-clearance price to find the value of what the next drop (if it occurs) will be.

This is not misinformation Thats what happend in my target so I am just letting every one know what I found out.
and I believe most targets operate the same way, even though I know some targets are little behind in time as far as the games being on clearance or not, but im talking about the games which are already at $14.98, or $13.98, and the price for those games WILL drop down and most likely within a week or two possibly the latest possibly. And on to further, I confirmed it with the employer on target, which he told me that price drops for clearance games happen usually between monday and thursday, BUDDY.
 
Found a :ps3:Guitar Hero: World Tour Guitar Bundle for $22.xx at the Target in Glendale, AZ. Didn't really have time to see what else there was (actually was on the clock at GameStop to pick up Windex).

Most Targets work VERY differently on clearance things, actually. Most games that have an MSRP of $59.99 hit $14.98 will stay there until they're sold, or they'll get dumped. Any further moves down from $14.98 are rare, unless the game started lower (say $29.99).

The only thing consistent with Target's price drops is their utter lack of consistency. But what you posted is NOT what happens at most Targets, unfortunately.

What you say is true, but I think that titles that are already in $14.98, or any title that ends with the number .98 at the end is going to drop down its price, and I think its now and recently that I noticed that some stores of targets starting to catch with the price updates, and I am saying this because I saw a cag'er in this thread mention that he picked up graw 2 for 14.98 the other week, and then he went back the next week i believe and returned it and got it for $7.48, which is exactly what happened to me, and I think this member is at least a good 3-4 states away from me across the country, so I think thats shows some slacking on target's behalf being improved.

This isn't entirely true, they do not donate they them still charge the Goodwill a very small ammount for the items. I know this because I work there. And when games don't sell at the Goodwill they send them back so they can get reimbursed for them.

For example Target sent Goodwill like 20 copies of Tabula Rasa which is no longer active, so I told my manager this and she said, "Oh well if it doesn't sell we will just send it back."

Anyways I have found many great Xbox 360 games at the Goodwill where I work for $9.99-$19.99. BTW if you couldn't tell by now I work at Goodwill in Tacoma.

I dont work at target, but I spoke to 2 different guys and thats what they told me as far as games that that end with .98 on them, they will drop down the prices, and if within a week no one buys that game lets say when it was 14.98, then will drop down next week. And I am not making this up I am telling the truth I bought GRAW 2 last week{no this past week, but the week before} for 14.98, and yesterday it was already at $7.48, now maybe that game has been sitting in that price for more than a week, but thats what the guy that worked there told me. Maybe he was mistaken, but who knows. I'll try to keep this thread updated.

Bullshit. It all depends on the starting price as to how far it goes before it gets deleted from the system.

games don't drop every week, this whole thread is YMMV. Clearanced games don't have an exact pattern but you can get a good feel of when they drop if you frequent this thread and your local Target.

It's essentially the same thing. If it was $14.98, the starting price was $59.99. If it was $12.48, the starting price was $49.99.

Video-Gamer is just stating that Target drop their clearance games by a certain percentage, which is what we all know. It doesn't drop EVERY week, but sometimes they do. They usually take two or more weeks to drop. I'm pretty sure Riddick stayed at a high price for many weeks. Same with NHL 09. And V-G, just because your Target updates a price, it's not going to be the same price at every store.

To get back on the thread, picked up World of Goo today.
 
hmm...im just trying to pass what I have been told by the people who work at target, and people already talking in a negative way, "bullshit", and other pot mouthing words, but okay. Il just keep everything to myself from now on instead of trying to share with a few ungreatful people that are mad just because they werent lucky enough to pick a game that they wanted for the price that some other cag'ers like myself got it for, and have to come here and take out their frustration to some one that is actually trying to contribute. There is no need to talk and say "Bullshit" because I can do the same thing, it does nothing but just shows your level of intelligence.

this why alot of people lurk in here instead of replying, because of people are in a hurry to disagree and prove that their right.
