Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Updated before the big rush of Monday updates (hopefully, because I really want to hear a report of Call of Duty Hardened for 19.98 so I can start trying to find the store in my area that has that price)

I'm sure there will be minimal reports of this. Apparently, only certain stores that did a good value of business got shipments of these and those that do have them are still at $55.98.

I know there are a few stores that are at $39.98 but I don't see it lasting until $19.98 except in the rare "YMMV" extreme case.
 
The clearance is pretty much cleaned out at my Target (Montgomeryville, PA). They did add about 10 copies of Need for Speed Nitro for DS at $13.xx.
 
Oh, I picked up the last copy of SFIV for PC at the Chapel Hill, OH Target tonight. It was OOS so I tried to get it for 90% off but the cashier wasn't having any of it.

Early at my store. I'd be there maybe 30 min after opening, max, just to be sure. If stuff hasn't dropped, swing back by later in the day.

They usually start at 6:00am but they make their way through multiple departments so if you don't see anything in the morning, check back later in the day.
 
Can't you just check the DCPI at the scanner before they even put the lower price tag on or are they actually changing the price when they go around?

It's been my experience that the scanners don't reflect the drop scan the item/print the new sticker, if it is the same day. If a day goes by, the scanner will reflect the new price.
 
I picked up a COD Hardened for 39.98 but I haven't seen it anywhere in awhile...would be shocked to find more than a few lucky individuals to get it for 19.98.

Well, I would say the Fable II LE fit this criteria, but people still did report it for 75%, so I won't lose hope.

And I'm just waiting to return and rebuy, I have the stock secured.

I believe its been stated that Monday is the typical day that they should happen, however, YMMV and it may be the next few days or even the next week. So nothing it set, its different from Target to Target

I just snagged The Beatles RB LE for 360 for $62.48 at the Garner, NC store @ Kroger Shopping Center. There was one left.

Forgot to mention in this thread, I saw 2 copies of Mass Effect 2 CE @ the Target around Oceana. I bought one earlier in the week but there was still one there as of Tuesday hidden in the glass case at the bottom because the package didn't fit in their new zip-cord style cases.

To those trying to find a Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 hardened edition; Amazon.com currently has it for around $47 shipped. With the target clearance of 39.98, thats about $44 after tax. It would probably be more convenient, in addition to not having to drive around searching, to purchase it from Amazon.

What you've said is absolutely logical but the CAG in me still wants to find it at Target. I'm in VA so I'd be out $42.40 if I found a copy. For $4.65 more I could save myself the gas and time from running around. But then I wouldn't have that thrill of finding the game I want with the red price tag! ;)

My local Targets never went to 39.98. They went from 55.98 to 19.98. I just caught this price drop this morning before work.
 
Excellent, looking forward to a day of more success stories! Cheap ass RB / BH bundles and MW2 HEs are always good news. I'll be off in about an hour to try and pick up the $15 Tekken 6 and Lego RBs (assuming they didn't all get bought up at 50% off over the weekend).
 
Decisions, decisions. Do I hit up my closest Target and hope they FINALLY put Demon's Souls on clearance here or just say to hell with it and skip Target like usual.
