Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

I had 4 stores with 4 to 5 of the HD's ea at the 48 price point.....out of all of the stores, only 1 had 2 left. People snagging em up already.

If you need one, 50.00 isnt a bad price. For me, Id buy the f' outta them at 20 or less.
^yeah I thought about that but the BBV in my area suck. I mean BIG time. Its just a hassle to even open the store doors sometimes.
Yeah. I was shocked when I went in and my closest one still had some games that were decent flips tonight, since I figured it would've been cleaned out. What was funny was even the $15 copy of Damnation for PS3 was long gone and that had languished there since the beginning of the sale.

My local Target has these new lame ass display cases for the games. They are now basically advertising clearance games. Of course all of the even semi-decent games priced $19.98 or less were already gone. That or they made the shelf tags for what games that are currently part of their planogram.

damn it some one took all the Friends trivia for ps2 they left an open package but the disc is cracked. price was 84 cents . there was like 20 of them last week.
Beatles Rock Band? For 360 or.....? Cuz you know you could've picked up that game(for 360 or Wii) for $14.99 from the Blockbuster BOGO AND got an additional game for $14.99 too, right?

Just saying....
Do you do anything other than shoot down everything anyone says like you're hot shit?

Just saying.

Most of us learn to ignore him. He's like the smelly kid in 3rd grade. You can't get rid of him so you just deal with the smell of piss.

Sure I do. I run at least one thread on here and I contribute trade values to the GS thread on occasion among other things. But it's good to know that my fan club is growing day by day. There's actually an 'appreciation group' for me on the social groups.;)

It's nice to be loved(or reviled).

But I was just pointing out that they could've had two games for less than the price of the one, thus trying to get them a better deal than they did(or alert others to the BBV deal and that BRB qualified for 360 and Wii).

If I save someone money, then so be it.

And confoosious, I started wearing the Pampers with leak guard, so no more smell.;)

Picked up a computer chair for $21.08 -- They are 41.98 or 29.98 on clearance at the stores in my area, but the store I work at only had the display model left, so I talked to my ETL and got it at a repackage price.

Yeah, but you *do* realize that one diaper isn't supposed to last you the rest of your adult life, right?

Some of the clearance games have ended up in staying in the case so I can't just price check them myself. I know that they are not going to pull those out very often and re-price them...

I thought they were reversible and reusable too? That explains the rash then.

That's my issues with the new layout. Frankly, IMO, it sucks and isn't consumer friendly. I bet they will lose a lot of money from it (including mine).

But I bet they'll have a ton of shit not disappear into oblivion and be hidden by El Stasho(El Hoardo's long lost illegitimate half cousin twice removed)who is waiting for the 75% drop that may never happen.

That alone will make up for the lost revenue from people who want the (in)convenience of walking the games half a store away to price check them, then putting them back on the shelves in the health and beauty section because they don't wanna walk back to electronics with them.

You know how many games I've found in the snack food aisle or another clearance endcap because people walked around with them to price check, then left them wherever they were? I'm glad they tied the games into the display in electronics.

Picked up :ps3: Mk vs DC for 7.xx, :ps3: GH wireless controller for 8.xx, and :360: Fable II PH for 9.xx today. Saw Band Hero :ps3: at 50% but can't really justify the $90 for more instruments i barely use.

The new system isn't very CAG friendly but it sure is consumer friendly and target friendly.

I found three Belkin HDMI cables for 7.48... I was tempted to pick two up, one for my PS3 and one for my parents' HD receiver, but I passed on it.

I wonder which these are, I'm in need of some HDMI cables for the new Blu player.

Here's an interesting clearance item I noticed, gum. The gum that you find right in the front, and each pack has a clearance sticker on it. I believe it was Orbits? The ones I saw were from 1.xx to 75 cents, if you're in the mood for gum I guess and you notice the packs also on clearance.

Yeah, my target has like 40 bottles of lube on clearance.. So if you want a fuckin sweet slip-n-slide, you know where to go. I wouldn't use that generic target lube for anything involving my penis, though..

The clearance games didn't change at all this week, 7 copies of Beatles Rock Band still there for 27.98. There were a couple TVs added in to the bunch, but they were not very good looking for the price. 19" LCD Element TV for ~$210

Alright. So which CAG bought up the Acer 21.5" monitor that was listed as IN-STOCK in the Mechanicsburg, PA Target on the Carlisle Pike just a day or two ago?

That was my whole reason for wanting to take a walk from the auction about 5-6 miles away from there on this Thursday.:bomb:

Hopefully the stock thing is just screwed up.:D

Actually, it's NEVER call ahead. I just wish I were able to get down there LAST week cuz it was showing as available then.

If I ever call ahead its gone when I get there. all the employees can NOT hold clearance (they tell me).
Last time I called to ask about something, by the time I got there I sware on my mother the employee bought/hid the item for themself before I got there.

Every store I've gone to that had that monitor in stock, still had it for full price. Every store where it scanned for clearance prices had it out of stock. I'd love to pick one up for even the $111.98 30% price, but it's just not happening around here. With lots of stores in the metro area here, plus a trip down to Indiana to visit my parents two weeks ago, I hit up at least a dozen stores. I never went too far out of my way, but I probably still wasted more in time, effort, and gas than I would have saved with the clearance price!

I've had a store hold a clearance item for me. Depends on the employee you reach in the Electronics section. YMMV.

No wonder you're missing out on these deals, IATCG...you need a freaking car! You should grab one from the auction instead of walking!!! :D

are you kidding? then he'd have to retro-fit the back to hold his wheel chair, make sure there was enough room for his cane, and it could only be a Caddy El-D..you know, since that's what 'old-timers' drive..

j/k IATCG!!

Is
iconps3.gif
Band Hero (complete band set) worth getting for $49.98? I was really hoping to get the Beatles set for PS3 for $62.xx or less but that never materialized. I've found a store with 8+ PS3 Band Hero sets for $49.98 though. I wonder if I could get some decent cash for them via craigslist...

Well, one thing great about Target is if you can't unload it you still have 90 days to return it.
