Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

And where might that be? I am a fellow CAG surrounded by Amish Country.

On topic, I saw a 32in Vizio for $349.XX, originally $389.99

I guess the video games are okay since they don't make your life easier? What about the electricity? Can you use it for the video games but not to have light when you're walking to the outhouse?

Video games are essential, while light to walk to the outhouse is not neccessary.;) Gotta have priorities....

Ohio. South of Canton. Seriously, where I live, I'm flanked on all sides by Amish. It's quite hilarious, actually.

I'm close enough. I live about 15-20 minutes outside of Akron. I'm down near Canton often enough though. :p

Beaverton Oregon Target has the new video game cages. I kind of like the layout. But it took me a little bit to find the back endcaps they put all the clearance stuff.

They had alot of PS2 GH5 $39.xx & Band Hero sets. a few Band Hero PS3 sets still at 124.xx.

Clearance games were mixed in with cage games. nothing exciting Band games for all systems (Guitar Hero 5, Van Halen, Beatles) at only 25% - 50% tier.

Lots of PS2 games, I noticed the new signage didn't list PS2, spelling the end I think for PS2 games at Target.

I was sad too see the Wireless Gamecube controller I wanted was gone :(

Also Avatar the game was on sale for $19.99, doesn't that have a $15 off coupon for the DVD or BluRay or something? if it does I might need to grab that.

Checked out my local Target again, more disappointment. El Hoardo (or La Whoreda) bought every non-PS2 title there is. Checked for the 500 GB too, but since I haven't seen a full picture of it, I couldn't find it. I scanned two HDDs that looked like it could be it, but they were both $99.99.

Went to the Target at Chapel Hill here in NE Ohio. Nothing as usual as of late, but I did get one of the two remaining Fender acoustic guitars. I figured I want to learn to play guitar so why not get an ok one cheap
Went to my Target again...I dont know why I go..they never have shit
That's why I gave up on it a long time ago!!!! I check this thread to see what I can't get when I go to Target. For a while though I was getting lucky.

Well I already tossed the box, but you want to look for the WD Elements box and the front of the box is mostly white. Its roughly 6"x5"x5" from what I remember. They also carry a 1TB and 1.5TB drive which is in the exact same packaging, with the only difference being the size if the drive and the drive size is printed on the front of the box.

It should be easy to spot as it's pretty big in comparison to the boxes for the other drives.

Ok, Idk how Ohio is, but here in Lancaster, PA I probably pass 5 or more horse and buggies wherever I drive. haha

Has anyone seen 8gb and 4gb flash drives for 75% off? Theres a bunch in my target stuck at 50% off. I forget what brand they are.

I bought one of the 8GB flash drives for 75% off the other day.(when I got the monitors)

Also, Lancaster is pretty much Amish Paradise. I've been through there only on the train, but I have a bunch of friends from college that are from there.

Not that I didn't know this before, but the online inventory system for stores sure isn't very accurate.

There have been recent times in which it said a store didn't have an item, & they had 3 or 4...then times when it said a store had limited quantities & the electronics rep looked it up & said they had none.
Think that's one of the one's I scanned. Man, that sucks.
The WD's normal price is $69.99 at Target. The $99.99 one is a USB-powered (no AC adapter) that isn't on clearance anywhere (yet?)..

Has anyone seen 8gb and 4gb flash drives for 75% off? Theres a bunch in my target stuck at 50% off. I forget what brand they are.
They were 75% off at Culpeper VA store, starting Monday. I was there on Friday, all the 8GBs were gone. But at two other Targets today, they were at 50% and 30%. Those two get more traffic than the one at 75%, so that's probably why.

Huh, maybe I missed it then. How big is the box? The one I scanned was pretty small. The picture in the Amazon link doesn't make it too clear.
I see that we have an IATCG imposter on the El Hoardo facebook fanpage...
Someone mind copy/pasting that cuz I don't feel like reactivating the stupid account I made just to see it.

I found 4 of those HDD's today at a semi-local Target, but they were only marked down to ~48.xx...other than that, Target has been a bust for me for the past couple months...

Saw a few 21.5" Acer LCD screens, but they rang up full price at $159.99. Was hoping to pick up a Lexar memory stick pro duo 4gb for $7.xx but it has been stuck at $14.98 for the past 2-3 weeks.

There are actually a few different models of the Acer 21.5" monitor according to the Target website.

I have this one(according to the DPCI on my receipt from Feb) (DPCI: 080-00-0167) :

http://www.target.com/Acer-21-5-Wid...&searchRank=target104545&sr=1-14&searchPage=1

But there's also THIS one, which may be the one you saw in store (DPCI: 080-00-1049):

http://www.target.com/Acer-21-5-Wid...1&searchRank=target104545&sr=1-3&searchPage=1

Yet mine that I have has the H213H designation on both the box AND the monitor and not the H213bmid number that it clearly should have, since it is the one listed with the HDMI port and NOT the H213H that I have.

Weird discrepancy. But that may explain why my closest store doesn't have the monitor 'like mine' on clearance when it should.

The first one IATCG listed is the model that I found 2 of on clearance.

The second may be the new model that the lady I talked to said was coming in.

What's weird though is that I think mine is the SECOND link, dabamus. Then again, the pictures for BOTH monitors have H213H up in the upper right corner of the front of the case, yet that 'replacement' doesn't list an HDMI port on it like mine has.

That I will. I just get a kick outta the fact that it would appear that according to the specs for the 'new' version it's a downgrade(no HDMI port) as opposed to the one I have right now.

Though the box for the one I saw the other day at my local store still said H213H on it, just like the box I currently have from the one I got. Maybe the DPCI's got switched around in the system or something.

EDIT: I just checked mine and it says H213H on it on the sticker on the back of it.

DPCI's don't really "get switched". Multiple items can sometimes be tied to the same DPCI at store level if a store gets an item it's not supposed to have [yet], but has related items (ex. Store sells Peanut M&M's but store receives random shipment of Coconut M&M's, which are not in the system. Store can tie Coconut M&M's temporarily to Peanut M&M's DPCI number to sell through the Coconut variety at the same price as the Peanut, or just outright clearance the Coconut M&M's altogether.)

Ahhh ok. Well then, maybe that 'non clearance' monitor like mine at the local Target IS one like mine. I really gotta drag my monitor there before the 90 days are done, though I haven't really had any issues as of late.

But better safe switching to another one than sorry. Either that or I could just take the money, run down to HHGregg(that just opened here), go down in max resolution to 720p, sacrifice 2.5" and pay another $10-20 in price and get a Toshiba LCD tv for $180.

Yeah. I think I'll stick with the monitor, though I can't take it back today since it's pouring out and I don't wanna get either one soaked. But at least the one in stock at the Target by me has the ACER branded tape unbroken(hopefully meaning it's not someone's frickin' return).

Stopped into Target today, the clearance end-cap now has a big red sign that says "Clearance: 30% Off!"...and then in much smaller letters below it "up to 30$ off of regular price." Cute.

Is Saints Row for $10 worth it? That's the only potential deal I really saw. (Otherwise just Wii shovelware, and some Platinum Hits still priced at $20.

Stopped into Target last night and it looked like their whole PS2 section was on the clearance rack. Other than GoW2, there really wasn't anything to write home about. I did find a Canon SD780, but after a month of being on clearance the damn thing only dropped $25 to $175, which is still $5 more than Amazon.

For 10.00, Id say yes.

The box is about the length of 2 or 3 of the smaller boxed HD's, so you probably scanned the wrong one.

Went to two different Targets today. The first one I went to had the HD's for $48.99 still which made me a bit peeved. I saw Fable II for $20 and, without knowing that people have been getting them for $10, bought it. Also in Target were these three new mountain dews so I figured I would check the other Target for HD's and grab the mountain dews there. Once I got to the other Target, i found that they didn't have the HD's or the MD's -_-. Not a great day.

Did go to Walmart and buy a poster and a shirt tho so not so bad.

You're not entirely correct here, sir. I happen to know of a DPCI number that has two items sharing it, system-wide. Bangai-O Spirits and Hello Kitty both share the same DPCI number at all stores, and can throw inventory *way* off if you're looking for either one title or the other.

I brought this to the attention of Target corporate offices, and have no idea if anything will change as a result. However, it's worth noting that "every product has its own DPCI number unless there's a strange goof-up in inventory" is not true, based on my own personal experience.

Hmm, interesting. I'm no Target pro, by any means.. just a team member. Thought I'd shed some light on *what I knew* .. obviously there seem to be other circumstances surrounding the items in your situation. Nice to know though.
