Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

ElHoardo1.jpg

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Ditto with mine, but they were all crappy DS games, no 360 or PS3 games added :(

The Target inventory tracker shows the Mario DSi bundle available at the following locations near west LA...though I'm all but certain any "limited availability" and "available" stores are actually empty.

I saw the Beatles and Band Hero bundles at the same prices mentioned, along with something that made me laugh a little: The PS2 version of Guitar Hero Van Halen, already at 30% off (27.xx). That game "officially" released, what, 4 weeks ago, and it's already on clearance? Yes, it does suck, and no one is buying it because they either got it for free or heard that it sucks... but that's still funny to me.

Also of note, I saw a Vizio Blu-Ray player, originally $149.99, on 30% clearance for $104.xx. I didn't get a model number, but just a heads up for anyone who's interested to keep an eye out.

Any Wario Lands?

Jesus, the Target by my university literally had 16+ Fallout 3 regular edition stacked on the end of an aisle, priced at 27.xx. I also saw 3 copies of Bionic Commando for 14.xx, amongst other non-clearance games such as Bioshock PH at 19.99$.

I know you're not a Nintendo guy, but did you happen to notice anything decent for Wii or DS?
Does anybody know the DCPI for Singstar PS2 bundle?
That is a great question that I unfortunately do not have the answer to.

My second closest Target *might* have the Mario DSi bundle. I'm headed up that way on Friday. That'll be awesome if I can score one on clearance.
I actually saw two or three PS3s on clearance for $275.00 or so at Hutchinson, MN. The kicker? They were the 80GB Motorstorm bundles. I wouldn't have believed it without seeing them there.
Wow. That's one of the ones with partial PS2 backwards compatibility. I'd consider biting on one if they dropped much lower.

I saw a bunch of new clearance games at one of my local Target stores yesterday. However, I only remember 1 of them offhand. The other item I partially remember is a laptop for $265 and change(15% off).

:360: COD: MW2 Hardened Edition-$55.98
HP Netbook something or other-$265 n change

I also saw a copy of Champions Online marked $12.48 with one of those big ol' 'as-is' stickers.

Hi,

Does anyone have the DCPI for the Xbox 360 Modern Warfare Bundle? Has it been confirmed to be on clearance at multiple stores?

Thanks,
bigdogn12
Holy shit. My local Target exploded with clearance games in the past couple weeks. A shit ton of games are available at The District Target in Irvine, CA.
Which Target in Irvine was this, the one on Barranca or the one on Jamboree? And any way you remember what was there?

Grand Slam Tennis - $34.XX
Monster 4x4 w/ Wheel - $13.48

The only X360 game was MW2 HE for the $55. And a ton of DS shovelware..I was pretty happy with my haul. My faith has been restored, sorry I ever doubted Target clearance!!

Okay, if anyone in SoCal, specifically west Los Angeles/South Bay/central LA is looking for the clearance consoles, heads up:

The ghetto Fox Hills mall aka "Westfield (South) Culver City) Target, the brand new one, has the following as of this morning at opening (1/21/10):

5 of the DSi Brain Age bundles on clearance, $118.xx (~$130.xx after tax).

4 Zelda Phantom Hourglass $24.98:roll: each, no other notable clearance games, or at least none at remotely decent prices.

The Ingle'hood' location by Hollywood Park ponies' race track had 2 XBox 360 Modern Warfare 2 bundles as of yesterday (1/20/10) at opening, but at the $399.99 regular price. They also had 12 PS3 250's also at regular price $349.99. As noted above, it looks like they are a bit more lenient at the Compton location if you want to attempt a price adjustment - good luck with that.

Saw new drops today at my local Target:

Tony Hawk Ride (360) - $80ish

Brutal Legend (PS3) - $41.xx
Resistance 2 (PS3) - $41.xx

Planet 51 (PS3) still scanning at $24.98

well I've got the most YMMV story of the day..

Went into Target, really wanted to give the 1600 pts coupon a try. Again, hardly any X360 games accept for a lone copy of Bionic Commando for $14.98. Grabbed it and a card, went to the electronics counter to check out. Two kids working helped me, scanned the coupon, which worked w/o any kinks, and they were like, "how did you know that?" so I told them the secret, that its expired, but still works, may have not even been legit in the first place! they got a riot out of it and I secured future coupon usage from those two from here on out :D

Didn't really want BC and was pissed I actually paid $20 at GS a while back..decided to return. Hesitated on doing it at same store, went to another one across town. An older lady started helping me and looked confused. Something didn't happen right w/ the register and she started manually entering numbers. At no point did she realize it was a 'package deal' and decided to process the full $14.98. Something too about the tax rate tripping her up ..So, I got my full purchase back in cash (used debit) and got to keep the card!!

so, keep this in mind if you're trying to get games as filler for points still...Guess it will all come down to the type of CSR you have and what the register does..this was my first attempt at returning a game to Target from this deal.

Why would you even post this? You defrauded Target twice in one story (probably three times since I'm guessing you used a copy of the coupon with the expiration date doctored off). If you're gonna do stuff like this, please at least have the sense to keep it to yourself. This is Cheap Ass Gamer, not rip off retailers for all they're worth gamer.

oh my bad. I thought we never reached a conclusion on the morality of the coupon. All signs pointed to if it worked, it worked. There were even some definitions of hardware outlining software was acceptable. And I have every right to return the game. I only expected the $6.42 plus tax as the refund amount said. I in no way forced her to process the $15 back. Lets just say if I was some foreigner who couldn't speak english, how, as a consumer, would I have known the difference? was it wrong for me to not mention it to her that she was doing something wrong? NEVER

edit: i just wanted a 'cool story bro' didn't mean to seem like I was defrauding anything (i'll leave that to BB ;) j/k!!)

target has finally got over the christmas rush...i went yesterday and saw about 20 games (ps2, wii, ds)...still no ps3 or 360....but things are starting to get better...

ive been checking out the clearance section 2 times a week (since christmas) and i saw 2 ps2 games and other random clearance items (just to fill the end cap)

I saw:

PS3 Beetles Rockband special edition 174.xx
360 Band Hero 30% off (i don't remember price)
tons of DS games (like 100 on its own end cap), don't remember any titles though

wow, so what is everyone's holding point for DJ Hero and Tony Hawk Ride?? I'll wait for sub-$50 on DJ Hero and sub-$30 on Ride..bad reviews abound, at those prices, you're paying less than the peripherals will ever cost, regardless of the game..

called corporate they are aware of the ps3 deal but they said they were researching that information and they wouldnt price adjust at the moment fffuuuuuu
saw
demon's souls $41.XX
and a whole boat load of DS games, including phantom hourglass hitting the clearance
Man, where the hell are you guys seeing Demon's Souls at Targets??? All of the Targets I've visited in LA have stated it's only available online, the bastards. Has anyone in SoCal seen a clearance one at their stores???

As for DJ Hero, definitely waiting for under $50 or even under $40 for that bundle. Tony Hawk's Ride, meh I wouldn't pay for that. Maybe $20 for the bundle.

I really hope you are kidding. Why would you call corporate? Clearance is always YMMV by store and Target has a policy of not price matching or adjusting clearance.

Today I found a lone Xbox 360 CoD Modern Warfare 2 bundle console at @279.98, which was 30% off. I thought over waiting another week to get 50% off, but it was the last one, so it could be sold out this weekend. I am not sure it was a good decision, but I bought it because I didn't want to lose it. I am satisfied with this purchase.

How did you find Dead Space for $7. Good thing I'm going to Target tomorrow.

I'm waiting for BB to give them away for free :D

Kidding aside, I'm not really a big fan of either game, so I don't see myself picking them up anytime soon.

Norman Super Target (and surrounding Targets) are sold out. No PS3s or MW2 Xbox 360 bundles. Sad panda.

TONS of Wii/DS clearance though. Literally an entire endcap. Most DS titles at $14.98 / $20.98. Wii titles at $20.98.

Nothing worthwhile for 360 clearance except Beatles Rock Band and whatever shitty Hero game is on clearance this week.

Couple stores in and around Chicago today had the DS clearence onslaught as well. Some notables, Nintendogs 20.98, Star Wars Force Unleashed 13.98, Fire Emblem(forget which, never play them) 13.98, Guitar Hero 2pack 21.98, Personal trainer walking 13.98, and heres one I never even knew existed, a stop-smoking trainer, for 13.98. Seemed like a bizarre thing to be on a game system to me, but to each his own. Madden 09 PS3, like 20 copies of them, were 7.98. Saw the Beatles set and Band Hero sets too, and a 105.00 blu-ray player. No PS3s or COD Xboxs though. Saw Bionic Commando for 14.98 at one store and 29.98 at another, and saw some Chaotic game for 29.98. Not up on these modern Japan cartoon things so I'm not sure. Some Wii shovelware crap too, nothing major there. Did see one copy of the Mortal Kombat Kollection that I'm kinda regretting leaving there for 9.98 on PS2. Would've grabbed it in a heartbeat even though I have Deception already on XBox, but I haven't touched my PS2 in years.

I've only seen it at Super Targets, and even thenonly those stores that have an expanded electronics section and removed the glass cases for individual game 'prisons'

Oh shit, I know of a couple of such stores! Thanks, will check it out...

Some additions to the Mount Laurel, NJ rack:

Demon's Souls (PS3): $41.98
Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (DS): $24.98
Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection (Xbox 360): $13.98 (one copy)
The Club (Xbox 360): $13.98

If someone could be a big help, could anyone tell me if there are clearance titles like the games stated in this thread for wii and psp at local arizona target stores? Thank you so much.

My target today had COD Modern Warfare 2 Hardened Edition clearenced out at $55 something. and Midnight Club LA Complete for 20.28 I believe. Sorry I don't have exact prices. Both were for the 360.

That is actually one of the better Imagine games--a good pick-up for nieces, sisters, and daughters.
