Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

ElHoardo1.jpg

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

If I enjoyed naked men having at it; I would have waited until they go down to $3.xx. They're $7 and some change here. There seems to be an abundance of them at my local stores. I'm assuming everyone wants them as much as the Target stores.
Hit 6 Targets (3 at lunch, 3 on the way home) looking for Beatles RB LE for 360 @ $125.

4 of the 6 had it at $175. (About 10 copies total between the 4 stores)
Hoping for a drop on Monday. May go back and grab one tomorrow just in case.

FYI, None of the stores within 100 miles showed any inventory via Target.com.
Walmart.com has it marked down to 139.00. If you do ship to store you can get free shipping and another 3% discount on the price (~ $4). If you don't mind waiting for your cashback reward, you can get 10% back using Bing cashback and your total out of pocket will be 122.xx + tax.

Huh?

I believe it started at $40 so $10 is as cheap as it is going to get.

Huh?

I believe all PS3 games started above $40. The games here go as low as $7. You're right, I don't think it will go any lower, It was part of the joke. I did just buy Turok & Shawn White for $7 and Sing It bundle was just under $10 about 2-3 weeks ago.

Some dumbasses around here bought up all the Legends of Wrestlemania games at ~30. Once again, I salute my local "bargain" shoppers.

I found one of the netbooks stashed(again) behind some other shit, so I told the people working electronics they should put it in the case so it doesn't magically 'disappear' again.

Thing is, it was at 50% off now($164) and if I had the extra money, I would've bought it myself.

The one employee said he was going to buy it tomorrow(with his 10% employee discount on top of the $164 price), so for whoever was stashing it in the Wilkes-Barre, PA Target, you are SO fuckin' L now.

I also found the external HDD's that someone also hid again and I had a good conversation with the employees about people hiding shit.

They told me that someone once hid an ENTIRE area floor rug behind bags of potato chips. They even told me that it wasn't even on clearance, so they didn't know why someone would stash it. LOL

Stupid people. If you want the deal(s), get there when they do the markdowns and stop being douchebags hiding shit.

LoWM started at $59.99.

I finally went back to check on Target's clearance section. I picked up Think Fast :wii: for $4.98 but there wasn't anything else decent enough to buy. I saw MUA 2 but it's at $41.98. I'd definitely like to pick that up at 75% off.

I really didn't like Target's new layout in the video game section. It reminded me of a vending machine or those bins from the candy store at the mall. Weird.
LoWM started at $59.99.
I meant that was the price when it entered the clearance cycle. I wasn't talking about the MSRP when it was released.

That is some really funny shit, maybe I should start going around my target hiding random items, I should look for items that are on sale and have limited stock and hide them, then check back periodically to see if it's still there. THis should be funny.

I don't know. Don't they make you stay with the group when they let you all go out shopping?

I guess I'll have to convince the whole group to pick a different object.

But they usually make all of you hold onto the bright yellow rope, don't they?

Nothing too great at the Sturgeon Bay Target, but DJ Hero was marked down (I unfortunately can't recall the price, but I think in the $6x.xx range...)... Also, they have piles of Terminator Salvation for PS3, and, the funniest thing I think, X-Blades for PS3, which has been $14.xx since late summer and hasn't been picked up.

A few things I noticed at one of the local Targets:

PSP: Midnight Club: LA Remix $9.98

PS2: RockBand 1 bundle $59.92

PS3: Hawx $19.98
PS3: Bakugan: Battle Brawlers $19.98
PS3: SingStar Queen (game only) $19.98

San Dimas ? Most excellent !

If you want the deal(s), get there when they do the markdowns and stop being douchebags hiding shit.
i really hope you run into whoever is hiding these items one day.
i really hope you run into whoever is hiding these items one day.
That would be funny, though since I'm not an employee the only thing I would probably do is say 'hey I've been looking for that' and grab whatever they're trying to hide from their hands and walk off. LOL

Anyway, I thought my local Target stores sucked balls for clearance. I hit up the Target in Easton, PA today when my family was up at the casino at Mt. Airy and they have NOTHING there except the usual shovelware for 360 and Wii(movie games).

They did have a bunch of DS games, but I didn't pay any attention to those since I don't have one.

Mind you, they did have some of those external 500gb HDD's for $50 something, as opposed to the $63+ that they still are in my area.

Speaking of which, if someone wants Advance Wars: Days Of Ruin for DS, they had 3-4 copies of it marked $7.48 at the Wilkes-Barre, PA Target the other night.

Stopped in to grab some soda and decided to take a glance and noticed some guy pretending to read a magazine when people saw him going through clearance, guess thats the local el hoardo. Also noticed that they did not sticker Demons Souls as clearance for 29.98 even though I bought one on monday and talked to the electronics guy about it as I had to have him scan it for a price. My guess is an empolyee "forgot" to price it haha.
X-Blades for PS3, which has been $14.xx since late summer and hasn't been picked up.
Not even worth $1, son. :bomb:

Found a store with a bunch of Star Wars: Force Unleashed for 360 for 9.98 (like over 20) does anyone think it'll drop again? I believe it started at 19.99
Not even worth $1, son. :bomb:
It was worth it to get X-blade for free though, just because I got $6.25 from GS for it. :p

Some DS games on sale over here....

Spectrobes $9.98
Nintendogs $20.98
GTA:Chinatown wars $13.98

There was also hello kitty and some personal trainer games but i didnt get the price.

Yes it will end up being 4.98 eventually.

I love reading 'bout your crazy, whacked out Valley shopping stories, I grew up in Plains for 19 years before going FAR away, and I sympathize with you!

If not for Sears and Kmart clearance being a little less YMMV, I would never find ANY clearance deals around here, since I swear the local Target stores are 2-3 drops behind what everyone else is mentioning in this thread.

Hell. It took them 5-6 months to clearance out X-Blades after everyone else was already finding it for $7.48.

mytarget:

Naruto Shippuden DS 2 - $20.98
Spectrobes : Not sure
Guitar Hero Smash hits : 19.98
Lego RB - $24.98 (This and GH:SH are for 360)
Bionic Commando - $15
Fire Emblem Shadow dragon: $14.98(I think, though if your around there, there is a walmart nearby that has it for $10)

Bleh, my Target is always full of crap. If it has games I do want, somebody always snatches it up before it even gets to a good price. House of the dead: OK, before it dropped to $20 and was still MSRP $50, was picked up at like $37.98, before it even went to a good price.

wow, I hope my target isn't like this.

Always love IATCG's stories! The best one is the one when he ransacked the east coast stores with his gf for like 9hrs straight! heh

saw some fresh price drops today on previous stocked titles. Most prices already reported elsewhere in the U.S. so nothing worth noting. However, :360: TB:RB set dropped from $175 to $124.XX. Damn Bioshock 2 CE and Dante's Inferno for coming out this week or I probably would have bought it..

At my local Target they had loads of clearance titles for Wii/PS2/PS3/PSP that were looking pretty good, but nothing for 360. Except GH: Smash Hits for $20 and MUA:2 for 41.98, ha!

Games still sitting at 50% in mine...

Did have a great find today - the Meguiars Holiday packs finally went to 75% off... They used to go with the Holiday stuff, but now don't. $5 gets 5 car care items (including a bottle of NXT 2.0 polymer wax, which is usually $14 or so all by itself). If you have a need to clean your car, check the car care endcaps next time you hit the red bullseye.

Same as everyone else - saw several drops today, but no new clearance. Things of note:

COD:MW2 (HE) :360: - 39.98
Left 4 Dead GOTY :360: - 7.48
Street Fighter IV :pc: - 9.98

Wow, I'll have to scan L4D GOTY when I go tonight. I think it's listed under the 29.99 pricetag still.

Thanks for the heads' up. I'm always looking for this kind of stuff for cheap.

Also, does anyone know if the Seagate 500 gb hard drive dropped again? I need a back-up.

mostly shovelware at the two Targets I went to earlier. Just picked up SW Unleashed for $10 and Godfather 2 for $7.50.
