Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Not to burst your bubble, but I doubt Demon's Souls is going to be the type of game you stumble upon at Gamestop for $10 down the road. It had a rather limited print run, so I'd grab a copy sooner rather than later if you really want a copy, simply because these types of games don't always show up really cheap at most retailers simply because it wasn't overprinted the way a big release like a GTA or CoD:MW type game is.

Yea, because the truth is I would love to get the game for $15 but wouldn't mind paying even $30 for it (like some the the Demon soul clearance price I've seen), but I don't expect most places to have a real price drop for months to come.

Retailers in my area have a tendency not to clearance anything. From the 3 targets and 4 Walmart's I've been to in the last month (that i check on a daily base from picking up other necessities) the best thing I saw was like Haze for $15 which is quite sad... They still have Resistance 2 for $60 in like 3 of the stores. It gets worst when I sit down and read CAG threads about people getting these crazy clearances that seem to never happen in my area. I read about games that are on like $7.XX nation wide clearance, come into my retailers and find them being advertised on sale and its still like $20. Although I admit to being jealous and envious, I still do congratulate all those who find great deals... even the hoarders.

Demon Souls deluxe had a limited print run, but the normal version is still in print and I'm sure Atlas is going to milk it for all it's worth.

there should be a link on the op of this thread to the target clearance finder thingy, just replace the asin in the address bar(the last thing on the url given to you) with the demon's souls asin
 
Not gaming related but CAG related, IMO, Targets have started clearancing the psuedo-Sam's Club bulk items in the back corner seasonal area.

Some stuff was only 15% off, but the box of 25 8x10 bubble mailers was 50% off down to $3.48. Packing tape also was 50% off.
 
Found Personal Trainer Walking DS for $12.49 at the Spring Target. They had a bunch and they were marked 24.98, but they scanned one for me and it was 12.49 so I picked one up.

Also found Resident Evil 5 360 for $10 at the 249/Louetta Store. Killer price but I have it already so heads up for anyone who doesn't have it, GET IT.

Still trying to grab that elusive Gears 2 GOTY or Ride, but oh well.
 
Was able to pick up one of the seagate 500gig usb drives for $37.48. Only one ther and it wasn't stickered so I got lucky because I knew it was on clearance.
 
Can anyone else confirm RE5 has finally dropped? Dont want to waste gas running out to check if it hasnt.

Scratch that, just called both of the Targets in my area, both said 19.98 still (Unless the drop was in the system and not re-stickered yet). Ill just check tommorow morning, dont feel like going out in the freezing cold @_@. (Though, if they somehow manage to sell 10+ copies in less than 24 hours, im gonna be beyond pissed)

That's a great deal. PT Walking was clearanced out months ago, then became OOS, then got marked back up to MSRP. I picked up a couple about 6 months ago when they were $12.49. I'm glad to see they went back on clearance.

Ill have to get up early tommorow then, a Targets down the street had like 5+ copies just the other day in the Case, and another one like 20 minutes away had like 10ish copies just laying on a back isle (Along with Fight Night Round 4 and Guitar Hero Smash Hits, which i hope also dropped to 9.99)

I'm in the same boat as you. I've been wanting to get RE5 but it's still at $19.98.:cry:

It probally did drop, ill confirm it tommorow when i go. Im just hoping some douche didnt hoard them all (Had a few experiences with Target's hoarders here)

Found a ps3 Modern Warfare 2 Hardened Edition for 39.98, took like 3 weeks to drop from 55.98, the Beatles Rockbands at the store I go to disappeared over a day so i'm guessing they dropped to the 62.48 price.
 
Good luck hunting... I checked in 2 Target's of my Area (Los Angeles) that they have Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 Xbox 360 in 30% off (Was 59.99, Now 41.98).... I think that this will be across the country... just depends when.... next week we will see many Target Stores with Tiger 10 in Clearance.

Of course... I'm going to wait until it drops to 75% (14.98).... Good luck in the next weeks....

Last night I dreamed that I bumped into some shelving and badass SNES RPG carts started pouring out. I had accidentally opened up some mid '90s Stashador's long forgotten booty compartment. I scooped up Final Fantasy II and III, Earthbound, Secret of Mana, etc and they scanned at 97 cents each. It was the most bummed I've been to wake up in a long time.

In reality, RE 5 is still 27.xx everywhere I go, Beatles RB SE is still 174.xx, and I haven't even seen a MW2 Hardened edition on clearance, let alone for 39.xx.

I went to my local Target tonight to grab one of their 'replacement warranties' on my 21.5" Acer LCD monitor I bought last week.

I should have read the details of the 'replacement warranty' a bit better before buying(although according to the paperwork with the warranty, you can return it/turn it in for a full refund at any time within the first 30 days).

Apparently, it's like the friggin' Best Buy 'service plan' bullshit warranties now and not like the old Product Replacement Plans, where they gave you a gift card and said 'go pick up another of the same item from the shelf'. It's done by an outside company and they try to repair the item 3 times(like BB)and then at their mf'n discretion they can give you a refurb/new/used item back.

fuck this shit. I'm returning it tomorrow and taking my chances on the 3 year factory warranty, which covers parts and labor. At least now I know better than to just blindly buy this crap and hope it's like the old(and great) PRP's from BB.

Oh and the copy of Demon's Souls that I grabbed from an out of town Target is in the display case now....still marked $59.99 around here. :bomb:

saw 2 copies of gta episodes from liberty city 360 for 19.98 at a target 40 mins north of pittsburgh,odd considering its 29.99 on their sale this week.
 
Picked up a few non gaming items:
I picked up two gillete razors for $7 each; they came with a $5 gc. That's a sale price not clearance. But then I picked up three colgate toothpaste with a free toothbrush for $.98 as well as crest with free toothbrush for .98. I used the $5 gc on those :)

The Target by work sold out of the MW2 Hardened editions before the dropped below the 59.XX price :bomb:. There are several Gears of War 2 for $14.98 though.
 
I'm carefully keeping an eye on those copies of Batman AA for PC. My local Target still has it for $34.98 also. They had about 4 copies. Ghostbusters PC was $13.98, but I'm not really interested in it. Oh, I also saw a copy of Stop Smoking (or w/e it's called) tonight @ Target for $7.48.
 
I know its just wishful thinking, but has anyone seen Demon's Soul at all in California at least?
 
Picked up Guitar Hero Van Halen for $9.98 today for PS2. Markdowns were not done on Monday because I checked it on Monday night and it was still $19.98, I was in the store today and thought I might as well check since you never know if the drops could be on another day and it was now $9.98.
