Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

ElHoardo1.jpg

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.
The Target by work sold out of the MW2 Hardened editions before the dropped below the 59.XX price :bomb:. There are several Gears of War 2 for $14.98 though.
Gears of War 2 regular or GoTY for $14.98?

Not sure if this is new or not, but found Prototype (360) for 19.98 this morning. Went in there for the shipping supplies someone mentioned earlier (thanks).

I'm guessing this wasn't new though, because the clearance was as picked over as it was on my last trip in there days earlier and there was only one copy of Prototype.
Some stuff was only 15% off, but the box of 25 8x10 bubble mailers was 50% off down to $3.48. Packing tape also was 50% off.
just the excuse I needed to go hit my local target again - thanks for the head's up
Does anyone have a DPCI or ASIN number for the Seagate 500GB hard drive?
I just picked this up yesterday for the $37.48 price. DPCI is 080-00-0049. UPC is 763649015223.

I also grabbed Flash Focus for $4.98.

Has anyone seen a copy of Lips w/mic in New Jersey for $15? I made the mistake of passing on it when it was $30 hoping it'd drop but now it's disappeared.
i got GOW2 non GOTY at a target just north of pittsburgh for $7.48,2 days ago,so there out there.
I got the same deal (GOW2 non-GOTY) for $7.48 as well at the McCandless store north of Pittsburgh. They had several when I was there a few days ago.

Other day i saw resident evil 5 for $19.99, and prototype for the same, and Beatles rock band bundle for $124. Not much lately at the targets around here
Is the Van Halen game on clearance for 360?
yep, just saw it today at a whopping 41.98.

Terrible day for video game clearance today, but a wonderful day for all other clearance. Snagged a bunch of fireplace / weatherproofing stuff at 75% off and a TomTom One GPS for ~$41.
Also found Resident Evil 5 360 for $10 at the 249/Louetta Store. Killer price but I have it already so heads up for anyone who doesn't have it, GET IT.
WOW! I wish I can find an RE (XB360) for $10. I did pick up "Fire Emblem" for $14.99 for the DS and saw many Guitar Hero: Greatest Hits.

GTA Vice City Stories :psp: was $4.98, didn't pick it up though since I no longer have a psp.

Also High School Musical :ps2: was $7.48... not exactly my cup of tea, so I also left that behind.

Was hoping to find RE 5 :360: for $9.98 but it was still $19.xx.

I got Lego Indy for $4.98 for PS3, Advance Wars: Days of Ruin (DS) for $7.98, Hotel Dusk: Room 215 (DS) for $4.98, and Naruto (DS) for $7.98. All in Branson, MO. There were 2 or more of each DS game and 1 Lego Indy left.

I already have Lego Indy for 360 so if anybody wants to
trade for it PM me.

Hey KansasFF. I was in Kansas City last Thur/Fri and scanned that Tony Hawk Ride when it was 1/2 off. It was the only Target in that area that it was clearanced at. I'm glad a fellow CAG got it instead of some hoarder.

Nothing good when I went today, I wish HAWX would drop again. $19.xx still a little too high.

When I was standing looking through the games on the end cap some guy appeared out of nowhere with this girl and they stood RIGHT behind me, trying to look around me I guess. The impatient way he acted, you'd think he thought I was about to pick the whole shelf up and walk away with it.

He was wearing skin tight neon aqua jeans and a neon pink tshirt. It made me wonder if that's your average CAG.

Damn! You caught on to me...

Surprised to find 3 Lips bundles at my target for $14.98. I hate the song list but wanted two mics for Rock Band so I'll just dump the games on ebay and hope to recoup my cost.

Saw HAWX PS3 for $19.98 as well. Hoping for the next drop.

I know I wouldnt be comfortable with a guy in skin tight pants and wearing those colors standing right behind me. I'd give him a "WTF!" look.

I didn't pay much attention to him because he could have climbed on the shoulders of the girl he was with and I'm still not so sure they'd be taller than me. In fact, I thought it was a kid at first, which explained the complete lack of manners and hovering behind me. Wasn't til he started flipping car keys in his hand and talking to the girl that I knew he wasn't a kid.

Back on topic, I saw Final Fantasy :psp: in the case marked @ $14.xx. Was this ever a clearance? Looked like the only sub-$20 game in the case.

Sometimes I've seen Targets that have clearance games in the glass cases with the clearance price but on a regular tag, not a normal red clearance sticker on it. That may be what you saw. Regardless, that's a good deal.

He should have just said "Excuse me" and walked under your legs.

I saw FF @ my Target a few months ago & would have picked it up if I had a PSP. I still might find a copy somewhere if I ever get around to getting one.
Saw Beatles Rock Band for the 360 for 62.49 at the Cherry Hill, NJ Target
Noice, the bundle is still 50% off ($125) here.

Is DJ Hero super cheap yet?

I found a lone copy of Little Big Planet
iconps3.gif
for $29.98 earlier today. It'll be interesting to see if more stores follow suit or if this was just a random occurrence.
Surprised to find 3 Lips bundles at my target for $14.98.
Damn, the Personal Trainer Walking is still $24.xx here.

A few months ago this was on the cheap game aisle and then they moved it back into the glass case. Picked a copy up for my wife back when they had the website coupon.
Still waiting on MUA2 to drop below $29.98 before picking it up.
It was just $19.99 on Amazon as their DOTD.

While not Target, full bundles can be had on Ebay for around $30-$40. I'd consider that super cheap.

Found a Demons Souls in a clearance pile this morning tagged at 41.98

Checked it on a scanner and it came up 14.98!!!

I had never seen the game in the clearance area before so an employee must have found the game stashed.

When I paid for it the cashier wanted to charge me $41.98 because she thought her register inverted the numbers when she rung it up.

I explained it was tagged with an earlier clearance price and she agreed.
Someone on slickdeals said they got Orange Box for Xbox 360 for $4.98.
What?? Sheesh, I got The Orange Box on PS3 for $15 about 2 years ago...

That's an incredible find! My local Target sold out at MSRP.

Stopped by my Target today. Either they moved the clearance shelf, or they were completely wiped out. I wandered around for about five minutes looking for clearance games and didn't find any, which leads me to believe someone cleared them out.

found star wars the force unleashed for like 4.96. Pretty good game so far for what I paid. Still waiting for fallout 3 to drop from it's 27.98 price tag for the past 6 wks!

I enjoyed SW:TFU, but got really bored with it by the last level- i turned on all the codes and coasted through to the ending.

Has anyone seen the Ultimate Sith Edition on clearance? I would rather pick that up for $20 or less then spend $20 on the DLC I don't already have.

Yes it was on clearance, Somewhere in the pages back there I posted I bought it for less than $5 in store. I did noticed that at the same target I got it for dirt cheap, it shot up to $14.xx.
